I have one and it actually works very well for what I bought it for which is phone repair. It will heat up a back ( or front) glass enough to remove it. I can't speak for anything else
I bought one of these came yesterday its fine for heatshrink thats it but can only be run for ten minutes then needs to be switched off to cool down or it will melt.
Seems useful I've always used hairdryer to heat-up glue and it takes a while this is kinda cheap so i might buy 1 useful vid:) (not the part where u de-solder 3:40 and try melting lead lol 2:20)
@@CTZN1 Yes, look it up. It's a cheap and plentiful material. Very common in China. It was used in heaters, hair dryers and so on in the west as well in the past and then banned. But China still hasn't banned it. That's another reason I try to be careful about Chinese products.
@@CTZN1 From what I have found searching online, it can be pretty much impossible with a naked eye. If you look it up, asbestos heater elements look very similar to non-asbestos. I guess maybe with a high magnification macro lens or a microscope. There are also labs that specialize in this, but I haven't tried them. For now I'm just using mine with the hope that it's not blowing asbestos all over my room :D
It can be useful for removing lcd smart phones and also for 8 pins ic even mor pins by the way is good for smd components ofcourse if you make the outdoor of heating smsller it means more tigh which can make the heating stronger for removing components!!!
Akhirnya, I found what I was looking for, thank you, I was looking for this to open the Honda Vario motorcycle headlight head, but it doesn't seem strong enough to melt the glue because the glue on the lamp head is very strong.
if you can add a thermo-couple to prevent the melting point of the plastic body, will be great, i liked the content of this videos, thank you for sharing.

Can i have a separate switch for the heating element and just use the blower function??

Yes
can it remove charging pins
@@jctechvlog yes it's My Question ?
@@jctechvlognope
There is no thermal switch and thermal fuse on the nichrome wire. Nor a current fuse on the input. This is not safe. Be careful everyone.
It's recommended to use no more than 10 minutes continuously by the specifications in it.
Can it make plastic bottles shrink?
Absolutely wonderful testing i love it
I like the way Hooby Electronic India reviews products that are always open to see the components inside😁

Is that an asbestos heating element? If so, that seems like a major hazard.
Whut? Asbestos?
