We're back, kings, queens and everyone in between and outside!
Conclusion of Judgement arc, second to last in first half of SC, is one of the coolest episodes in it. Especially if you take out the getting pissed on pov. I absolutely agree that it would be even more cool if Judgement really was Avdol father's stand, and not another rando. Avdol has too little screen time for proper development and it would give a great scene to add some depth to him. Plus Cameo sucks
Magician's Red is such a spectacular stand, and is just done dirty in the show, but man he has a blast here. Avdol's wishes are badass.
Now that I'm over hard feelings, we can discuss the Polnareff part of this arc. And it is just psychological warfare. Watching him unable to even attack at first is painful. Also, can we just stop and think about him coming to a conclusion that he deserves to die for his mistakes in the most horrible way possible? Like, it's just fd up. The scene I like the most in the arc tho, is him piercing Cherie's doll, and for one simple detail: Silver Chariot in it is merged with Polnareff's arm. So in a way he cuts off his fruitless attachment to the past quite literally, and then states: my sister is dead and buried. That's why this scene concludes his character arc for the most part: he got his fate back in his hands from DIO in Silver Chariot, he got his vengeance in Emperor and Hanged man, and he concluded the reflection on his past in Judgement. All he has now is present, when he realised that there are things greater than him and his story. I'm free to read other takes on it, just avoid spoiling for brithi.
No matter how loud Jean is, it's messed up how guys just left him in the dark. He definitely can thank them for part of his PTSD. Stay hydrated, king 💜

Also, openings rarely change mid-season, so him being in the opening is just that.
If you wanna be pedantic, Jonathan's head is also in the opening and that head is dead.
