The Foundation really needs an MTF that can handle these nature spirits. People who won't accidentally make things worse.
The shaman teams are too busy with the Mother in Ice and Deer and the Unifinished Ritual lol. Not enough MTFs
I mean Dr. Clef hunts and kills reality benders and he does a pretty damn good job at it but I don’t know why they don’t consider him to restrain these type of SCP’s

We always hear about 096, 173, 682, and 939 all the time, so it’s nice to hear about something I’ve never heard of before.
For me, Eastside Show SCP is second place.

@@wansuper671 if you want quantity over quality thats up to you. But nobody presents scps and their horror or hilarity better than volgun. Stories are all mood and tone. He has that in spades

There was a 5252 blooper in the bloopers video. I’m the biggest of brains.
Well he did say that SCP 5252 was coming and 5000 us next
I wonder if this SCP has had any contact with the Mt.Everest one. The King of the Mountain. Two scp's in the Himalayas now. Interesting.
I think this scp protects the people from the other scp when they are hiking.
There’s another mount Everest SCP, the one where the mountain is made out of thousands of frozen bodies
Local: so the guys who died wanted to take the land and cut the trees
Doctor: alright understandable
Foundation: *Takes land and cuts trees*
its frustating, why are the SCP Foundation so braindead? from the first interview, the foundation now knows that the spirit, usually non lethal, has an exception, where it goes as far as killing a hiker. then, the tour guide explains that he left them to the spirit because they were hurting the enviroment. wow, so what can we deduce? firstly, more enviromental damage = more violent. secondly, the locals know a lot about it, so we should ask them first.
ok, so what should the foundation do now? oh yea, lets clear out some tress and dismiss the locals giving warnings?!?!?! not just that, the record says they can trace evidence that says the legend has circulated since 12th century, so why did it seem like the foundation is completely clueless about the fucking scp like they havent done their research?! why didnt they find the jaena guy before they start making bases around?
and regarding the SCP itself, why is it even classified as keter?!? it literally has a range and as long as you leave them alone they do nothing, thats like, euclid at best! what about the design? why do they have red eyes, and why the lantern? no explanation at all.
is this what all newer scps are written like? if so its kinda shit. and the guy who voiced the local, no hate, but he sounds like a fuckin robot, no emotions.
overall, this video got me more annoyed than i should have. if you guys can justify the mistakes that i found please do tell, id like to hear it.

I love this SCP, the two perspectives really help paint a picture of how the foundation can really mess up and people can get caught in the crossfire of their operations.

It was great except for the the voice actor for the Himalayan, sounds like he doesn't care about what he's doing and is just doing it for pay
Sang says he's got some kind of link with the spirit, and in the end it seems like he became another form of the Spirit ?
Could it be that this Spirit is the woman who taught him everything about the Spirit in general ? Maybe those people are meant to become one of the Spirit's form when they die ?
Interesting theory. I guess the Jadàna pass on their knowledge before becoming these Lantern Bearers.

@@muramasa870 For all we know, every time someone saw the Spirit, it could have been a different one, but since they look like the same, you can't tell if it's the same or another.

A story of the Foundation meddling in things they don't understand
Would be epic, if at the end pods with spacemarines from 40k universe landed at area, and start bolting damn thing down, screaming something about heresy. Part of Himalayan mountains would be safe to travel again.

(Im nowhere close to done so bear with me) but this is the kind of SCPs I adore. Nothing inherently scary, nothing with malice or ill intent, just a man helping guide people back to safety and he wants little trinkets in return :)

I always find it funny how the foundation interacts with some of these entities. This thing is clearly a mountain guardian spirit and only wants to preserve its part of the world and the people know it. The foundation didn’t get the hint though and as a result many were lost, come on y’all, understand these things, it’s not that hard lol.

the villagers' voice actor's accent fits well, but he had no emotion at all while reading his lines... kinda broke the immersion for me, especially since he spoke for most of the video

Dude.....a similar story about lights is a local legend of my native village and others in the himalayas. But the "creature" is usually tigers, boars monitor lizards, and other carnivores in different regions. Great to see that this has entered the scp universe though👍👍😂😄
