Surprised that a thick washer can change the hight of the fuel so much but looking at the video it makes sense. The distance from the float center to the float valve is something like 1:4 so a washer that is 2 mm makes a difference of 8 mm in the fuel level. After this video it makes sense that original parts does make life much easier. Keep on filming !
the step by step approach is always a good idea . @ 7:42 In English its simply called "the float" Its sits in the "float bowel" and its pushes on the "float needle " to stop the flow of fuel .
very cool! im pondering also to buying 68 rekord for daily driver but the winters might be a little rough here in finland. What kind of fuel consumption do you get from the 1.9l now with the carburetor set up correctly?
