My brother Jimmy died almost 3 weeks ago 59 years old from bile duct cancer he was a doctor a gastroenterologist💖 he loved life he loves Jesus he devoted the last year of his life to God he had a total conversion💖 I love you dear brother you were such a kind man💖 I can't believe your dead💖 but I know you're with HIM, u r with Jesus that's the only consolation I have💖 pray for me Jimmy,

When I was a child Fr Mark and I'm going back nearly 50years ago , we had a priest who was on a mission in my locality in rural Ireland, he was a member of the Coloumban missionaries based in Kiltegan in Navan Ireland, he had been away on foreign missions in Africa for years, and his homily that Sunday was about the Real existence of the Devil, and I still remember these words he spoke that day, I quote " No matter what you hear, or what you see that you know is not of this world, Never be afraid, because that's the Devils plan , to drive fear into you", unquote , I was a child and can remember that priest saying that, God Bless 🙏 you Father Mark 😊🇮🇪☘
Lucky you. My catholic school teacher told me he was a euphemism. It's still possible to follow the Lord but if you don't know it's a battle, you run onto the field without all the necessary armour. I have many scars- but always for my Lord.

I go to an FSSP parish, but I would gladly attend Fr. Goring's mass. I'm struggling with vices, but unlike many, I don't accept them, repent of them, and pray over them. Hopefully with God's grace I triumph over them soon! Reverence is the 2nd or 3rd most important goal in Mass in my humble untutored opinion. Being critical of the wicked is just as important as lifting up the righteous. Unfortunately, most seem to do only one or the other. Fr. Goring does both. I hope to one day shake your hand sir. This is why it's so important to detach from the world, tune out all the doomsday preachers who are speaking out of fear, trust in the Lord, spend more time in Scripture, work towards sainthood everyday, so you're ready. The homily today was in sadness for 2 of our priests both hospitalized with Covid. One on a respirator. Please pray for all priests & especially those who suffer silently or with illness. We have one priest who says 3 Masses, hears all Confessions & performs all Anointings for the parish until the 2 return.

I love that you refer to the Bible for other verses, giving us a wider view of God's Word. There was a young man at Mass yesterday who had his Bible beside him, he was chewing gum & doing his best to follow along with the Mass & he didn't go forward to receive a blessing. I was hoping to give him a welcome to our Parish, but didn't see him afterwards. We need to be a more welcoming Catholic faith, going out bring in the people of God 🕊️🙏

Fr Mark, please pray for the repose of the soul of Fr Regis Scanlon OFM Cap of Denver, CO who passed from this life to eternity early on Nov 6. He was a good friend and spiritual guide to many of us for decades. I remember that he would tell retreatants that rising very early, 0300 Hrs to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, Rosary, or just be in the chapel in silent Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament carried much grace. We always had all night Adoration on at least one night of a weekend retreat.
May God the Father have mercy on dear Fr. Regis (if he needs relief) and all deceased Capuchins of St. Conrad.
I am so grateful for this new younger generation of young priests such as yourself. Gone are the days of grouchy, mean, and frustrated priests who were also boring. Of course not all of the were like that but…

I've spent over 17 years trying to figure out these parables and allegorical stories. I'm no further along than I was when I started, except last week it all "made sense". I'm not catholic, but I love hearing the stories.

Glad you put all that in perspective Father. The end times may last for a very long, long time....or not! The way things are going these days, the latter just may be more realistic.
I think God is giving us one big thump on the head to realize time may be running out and we need to start thinking with our heads instead of letting the internet, MSM and politicians do the thinking for us.
Mom died in April and used a Braille watch. Such a watch opens at the face and closes after being read with a distictive snap. Occasionally...I hear that snap...I think mom is telling me that time is limited...do your best in it.
Jesus said that not one generation would pass and Isreal is 73 years old so by strength a generation is 80 years and that means that we have less than 7 years before our Lord's return!

Amazing you were Preaching about JESUS preparing a Mansion,I had NDE last year and I was showered the most Beautiful Mansions.The Landscape was the most beautiful thing you could ever imagine and I don’t know who was flying with me but after we would go down one street at the left there was a Beautiful sign that said GOD’S PLACE.Then we would go around another row of the Beautiful Mansions and Awesome Landscaping.We kept that going for I don’t know how long and then I had a falling feeling and a strong Voice told me I had to climb out.About that time 3 Nurses came in my room and said we watched you die on the Monitor,Please tell us everything you saw.We heard about this in Nursing School but didn’t think we would ever see it.I told them.I’m always looking for trees I saw but I’ve seen some pictures of trees in the Mountains that favor the trees I seen when I was in HEAVEN
