i know no one will believe me, but this is andrew, and i was just really high + hadn't played the song in at least 6months, so i spaced everything after the intro. but i fucked up lots of other times too, i am not a perfect drummer or person :) just glad people had fun
Thanks to everyone who said nice stuff and enjoyed the vid or the show. The cymbal was probably a 22" but it was at least 20" as I rarely played anything smaller. Also to the other guy, I think that kick was 24x18

Don't get me wrong this video is sick and the quality is great, but TFOT should have definitely recorded a professionally made live DVD with this lineup when they were at their peak. Thomas, Andrew, and Tim were amazing together and have a superior musical insight that most other bands don't have. These guys just meshed and will be remembered as an influential, unique and creative band. Can only hope these guys come back someday or at least play one more show down the road. And fuck yeah Andrew!
John Gruver yea I agree. It crushes my soul knowing they never had a full on professional recording of a full set like this. At least not from this era. Has anyone seen one that I am missing??
UF_Alum2011 there are some that don’t exist as I have confirmed with Tfot fans from around Europe and North America mostly... we can expect gradual releases there have been old era videos coming out since their reformation and especially after ok and the current mulkiearth record
Love this fucking band. I like when just three people can stand on a stage and own the room. Primus, nirvana, fall of troy etc. A lot of greats. Alchemy Hour is another great three peace. Can't find much on em but they have a sick sound.
Josue Rodriguez I see they're up in New York and in Texas end of October. There's a couple of days in between where Thomas hasn't given the location yet inbetween three shows. (28th and 29th October) Can't wait :)
It shows musicianship. Most bands today never stray away from 4/4. Also most of the time bands that vary their time signature have some jazz influence which shows actual appreciation and knowledge of music. There are tons of bands that have hundreds of songs with the exact same signature and sort of formula, its just nice when you hear something fresh and different.
The fall of Troy in their prime... Pure badassness. I found a pretty dope 3 piece band the other day called 'Alchemy Hour' playing this song 'screwdriver'. Sick ass video too. Look em up.
I had seen this show many years ago and only recently remembered this line and had to dig into all the laces out Dan only to find it hidden in this gem of a video. Easily the best part of the show, made the break down even more gangster
I love TFOT live now but I have to say there is just a different energy from this Trio when they are together. I respect Tim’s decision not to tour but I want to say I miss him. Love you bud!

Hey I was just wondering if you knew the lyrics or had recorded the little jam at 38:00? It's seriously my favorite thing in this video and really speaks to me. Thank you!
I know this was posted a while back and thank you very much for posting. As a videographer it was really annoying seeing so many cross fades. Something fast paced and hectic like this requires almost all quick cuts. If you watch any live video, especially of a heavy band, you will see almost no cross fades. I'm sure you are/were a student or something so just putting my knowledge out there.
Idk about this one but I know he's currently using am autumn burst SG and previously he also had an SGX in seafoam green that I always thought was fantastic. Also Gibson just released a new double cut les Paul but the horns are offset which is kind of a let down but Gibson just sent him one with a goldtop that he seems to really be enjoying.
CAn you guys do a reunion tour soon. Just one tour, and please hit up chain. I was unfortunate enough to only get into you guys a couple months after you guys broke up but since then I have been absolutely obsessed about how you guys sound tighter than bands twice your size. And if you need a bassists for the tour I know a lot of your songs by heart :3

Andrew Forsman I know it’s you and this was honestly such an amazing performance. I wish I could’ve witnessed it in person.
@andrewforsman you sounded pretty good bro, you're human no biggie
It didnt help that tom kinda skipped a beat on the vocals
We can all be our own biggest critic sometimes. I reckon you nailed it, youre by far my favourite drummer of all time
@Matt G Just weed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks to everyone who said nice stuff and enjoyed the vid or the show. The cymbal was probably a 22" but it was at least 20" as I rarely played anything smaller. Also to the other guy, I think that kick was 24x18

Too true, 8 years on! Thom is truly on form here.

THEY'RE BACK TOGETHER GUYS!
just for a reunion though? please correct me if I'm wrong :)
doesnotafraidable They are going to make a FREE album or something like that I saw it on FaceBook. :)
George McKenna i went to the reunion shows and they said they are definitely going to tour a little and yeah the free music
Josue Rodriguez Do you think they would do a gig in France ???
Josue Rodriguez I see they're up in New York and in Texas end of October. There's a couple of days in between where Thomas hasn't given the location yet inbetween three shows. (28th and 29th October) Can't wait :)

i love Andrew's drumming style, so much groove
so catchy too
So fuckin gangster. That was awesome
so fuckin gangster !
Me in 2022 hyped they’re still making music together and was able to see them live finally!
That drummer is bustin his ass, Thomas is a beast and not easy to keep with
I miss the way tim plays, and the way thomas sings. love you much for posting a complete tfot show!
I wish I had a time machine so I could attend this concert. I would bring one person along haha
The fall of Troy in their prime... Pure badassness.
I found a pretty dope 3 piece band the other day called 'Alchemy Hour' playing this song 'screwdriver'. Sick ass video too. Look em up.
14:21 best part of this show
it made me emotional how dope that was
I had seen this show many years ago and only recently remembered this line and had to dig into all the laces out Dan only to find it hidden in this gem of a video. Easily the best part of the show, made the break down even more gangster
JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJ
"So fucking gangster"
*crowd surfs*
so sick. i was here for this and saw people recording but never knew it was released
YES! Look at Tim all swaggered out
Holy SHIT!!! These guys were SPOT-ON live!! What a fucking gem, too bad they quit. :/
wow, a live set of tfot I have never seen. Much thanks for postings this up. A great band that is sorely missed.
I wish i could just go back in time :(
We don't talk about that. For all intents and purposes, Manipulator was their last album, and ITUE was a Just Like Vinyl test run.
Damn... you still did amazing! Thanks for the show you did in San Luis Obispo in 2010, one of the best nights of my life.
I love TFOT live now but I have to say there is just a different energy from this Trio when they are together. I respect Tim’s decision not to tour but I want to say I miss him. Love you bud!
Dear god, the OUTRO on this is insane...
thanks 4 the upload, shame tom put the drummer on blastoise like that tho.
what do you mean by that?
Code Orange Gavin He told Drew to add more kick to the bass drum, probably the equipment.
These guys are so good live man. Great video duders
i am astounded by how good his vocals were back then. he can't sing like this anymore lmao
the Motorola RZR camera phone at 13:35 hits me right in the feels
tim is a great bassist, they were so much better with him in albums and live.
holy shit i remember being here one of the best shows of my teen years
if it is in fact u, i would like to thank u 4 being the single most important influence on my efforts to learn how to drum :)
For the love of fuck. I do not know this band very well, will someone please tell me what song the outro breakdown is from???
That jam 37:41 till 40:30 is so fine. Someone rip it into an MP3!
I've taught myself 10 of their songs and am learning more. Andrew had his work cut out for him here, believe me, I'm a drummer.
Crowding surfing 1 minute into your own set is awesome

Sledgehammer lyrics fit so well in Act One Scene One Intro
Hey I was just wondering if you knew the lyrics or had recorded the little jam at 38:00? It's seriously my favorite thing in this video and really speaks to me. Thank you!
What Sound Does A Mastodon Make?
Thank you for blessing my eyes and ears with this awesomeness.
hey do you think you could upload this somewhere in avi or something? some higher quality would be very appreciated.
what song did they "stump" them with? that they wanted to hear at the end 58:00 ?
Oh damn, I was at this show. I talked to Thom after the show and he was pissed lmao
OMG THEY PLAYED THE DARK TRAIL. THIS IS ONE OF ONLY 2 TAPES OF THOMAS THE DARK TRAIL LIVE!! woo
The most intense hour on RUclips.
14:23 ive NEVER seen the guitarist/vocalist and drummer crowd surf at the exact same time
I know this was posted a while back and thank you very much for posting.

Who was that playing guitar at the end?
THE DARK TRAIL LIVE OMFG, THIS IS GOLD
I totally know what you mean diamondheartswells!! Soo glad I watched this!! :]]]
What's the song they play after FCPREMIX? It's familiar
I remember seeing these guys in Fresno CA at “the rainbow ballroom” with deftones and (dir en grey?) this was early 2007-8 if I remember correctly
Whats the song they play on 10:03 ?
Does anyone know what model SG Thomas is using here? I can't find it anywhere.
It's probably no longer being sold just like his Double Cut Les Paul.
Yeah I just did some research and couldn't find it on Ebay. The guitar itself is a Gibson SG GT in Muscle Green but good luck finding one nowadays.
endangeredoddities Damn. Thanks anyways.
Idk about this one but I know he's currently using am autumn burst SG and previously he also had an SGX in seafoam green that I always thought was fantastic. Also Gibson just released a new double cut les Paul but the horns are offset which is kind of a let down but Gibson just sent him one with a goldtop that he seems to really be enjoying.
heaps good footage, thanks
What song is of the 24:00?
What are you up to these days?
You guys were awesome and your drumming was always amazing.
Hahaha those screams at the end are definitely present in his The Hills Have Eyes-vocals.
great sound guys..keep up th great work!
The good ol' days without barriers.
CAn you guys do a reunion tour soon. Just one tour, and please hit up chain. I was unfortunate enough to only get into you guys a couple months after you guys broke up but since then I have been absolutely obsessed about how you guys sound tighter than bands twice your size. @okamasphere Actually no, at 52:20 they play Tom Waits.
I wish at this one, they played all of my favorite songs.
Loved the pre-Act One, Scene One.
the song you don't know is the best one on the setlist! and probably my all time favorite song of theirs.

wow...really? what a coincidence, i just got into them!!
i guess they were touring together at the time?
Lmao 1:44 Thom’s amp being turned down was instant karma for being so impatient with Tim on starting the song
i could listen to the act one scene one intro for the rest of my life

the energy, man
does this exist in HD? I'd love to burn that on DVD!
gotta love the internet. i can get drunk in my comfy chair and watch the fall of trizzy as if i was there. RIP best band ever*
One of the rare times they ever did Dark Trail. Such a boss ass song
yeah i have listen to their first album again, i cant believe i forgot what "what sound does a mastadon make?" sounds like
That thrashing at the end... I always knew TFOT could do it
Thomas: *Bitches about not playing back catalog songs*
Also Thomas: *Plays a back catalog song next*
At 1:01:20, whos the guy taking over on guitar??
i think the dark trail and sledgehammer are my favorite songs but everything else rocks too
Then intro they started Out with when they got on stage is the breakdown of sledge hammer off the album manipulator if any one was wondering
Ya Qwaynza Maddox it’s actually from A Man A Plan A Canal Panama. The songs are in two different tunings. Sledgehammer in drop D and a man a plan is in e standard
"yay, its the guitar hero song! I can sing along to this"
Man TFOT put on the best performances ive seen. Shame their gone now...
Ay Happy anniversary, Houston show killed.
