The bass player on this record is amazing. He completely upstages the string section at every fill-in. at 1:52 holy cow! If somebody were to tell me it was John Entwistle, I'd absolutely believe it.
Every Little Move She Makes - Just love this song, really takes me back, had this on a White Plains LP brilliant rendition only wish I could get a digital copy now. They also did a version of Home Loving Man from the same LP, both brilliant. Thank you for posting.
The track we heard here was Tony Burrows' solo version on his solo album. Pete Nelson sang on the White Plains version of this song. Ricky Wolff was the lead singer on White Plains version of Home Lovin' Man.
@@boojaboo7507 Believe Tony also released this track with Edison Lighthouse but the production by White Plains (Pete Nelson lead as you say) is probably my favourite version as I like the orchestration and harmonies.
Tony's voice on this song sounds a bit stained on the high notes. It would have sounded smoother if the key was lower or he double-tracked his voice on the high notes. The White Plains version sounds smooth and harmonious.
Brilliant upload. Are there really no preserved live performances of this masterpiece, recorded by Tony Burrows, Edison Lighthouse or White Plains? This was a class act and a fabulous song and it was never a hit😕
I don't remember any hits by Tony Burrows under his own name here in the USA; I wonder if this record was even released here. Sounds great though, especially the bass; probably the same crew that did his records with White Plains and Edison Lighthouse.
Tony Burrows own version is just the same as the Edison Lighthouse version. It's a total different production crew from the White Plains version of this song. The White Plains was recorded by White Plains lead singer, Pete Nelson and produced by Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway who were then White Plains producer.
+Maxwell1901 Indeed he was also 'Brotherhood of Man' and 'First Class' too. He is the only person to hold the distinction of having been a One Hit Wonder ............. Er 5 Times !!!

I love Tony Burrows with any of his Groups, but the man in the video singing next to the two females "IS NOT TONY BURROWS" but that is Tony Burrows singing this song.
Reminds me of when I found my true love when we 1st met
Fast forward ⏩ we are happily married for 40 yrs and are still together til this day
He should have been the king of pop music.
One of the most underrated song of everytime
Loved this guys voice i was 17 and never got him out of my head still haven't lol
It’s great to go back in time to listen to these songs......Brilliant 👍😷
I think it is one of the best songs penned by Roger Greenaway. Cook and Macaulay penned the lyrics, if I am not wrong.
Brilliant songs by this man.Who is still listening in these COVID times.?😷💉🤞
Simple, happy, romantic, melodic. what more do you need?
Such an awesome piece of Pop. Long time fan of Tony Burrows.
Great voice. Great Greenaway/Cook composition.

very true, they did not like pop music, they erased most of Top of the pops in the 60s and 70s
Didn't he take part in the video, with the rest of White Plains singing about 'When You Are A King'?
Please can you upload Tony Burrows I've still got my heart Joe cos its my mothers favorite :~)
Drinkman7 mine too... 👍
Mine too cause I was dating a guy called Joe at the time x

the best
What a great song too bad I can't find it on mp3. :(
Tony Burrows may have been the vocals for White Plains, Edison Lighthouse, and First Class, but here he sounds more like the Foundations.

Maxwell1901
Don't forget The Flowerpot Men too. I was surprised about that one, but there he was on the video from 1967 "Let's go to San Francisco"
Don't forget Tony mccauleywrote for the foundations
Totally agree Idleracer! I'm on a mission to find out who the bass player is. The drummer is Clem Cattini. Can someone enlighten?

Check out a cover from Estonia (Soviet Union those days): Jaak Joala: "Eile oli". It has very idosyncratic original video too :)
I have...and left a comment, thanks!
The song is retitled now "Minu rõõmud" probably due legal issues.
Rimimds of first boyfriend will metcalfe❤
You can also hear a nice cover in Estonian :-)
Look for: Jaak Joala - Eile oli
@vendviplala
