I'm a new shawol, and for some reason I found myself avoiding some of their past content, because I was afraid to be sad, as a person who has been dealing with depression for 15 years I find comfort and moments of happiness when I listen to their music, I'm not afraid anymore, I celebrate the amazing talent of this 5 wonderful boys. This MV got me a little emotional, but I think there's nothing wrong about it, this song is absolutely beautiful. Lots of love to the one and only Princes Of K-pop, thank you for everything you do

That's exactly what I do as well. Before I watch any of their content I always do a headcount to make sure there are four not five of them. It's terrible but as someone with mental health issues and as an empath I am not really capable of watching their old stuff because what happened to Jonghyun just hits too close to home you know?

That was less than 6 months after Jonghyun's passing, and honestly, they didn't have to do this especially after all that they've been through. Yet, they did it, and they did it so beautifully. 4 years later, I still get goosebumps watching this.
The MV looks like they're going to another dimension, and the fox is an old friend looking after them.

@@pepsigolda I think its really Jjong' shadow. It doesn’t line up with Taemin on the top of the well, neither with the ligth, it moves up before Taemin leans over the edge and it goes down even after Taem has moved away too.
It is what it seems to me from a curious tip that I learned while drawing: If you want to see shadows on the top from a well, take a piece of paper, roll it up, and play with the lights and shadows.
But even so, if it wasn't intentional, it's a very striking and touching coincidence 💕
@@mariapaulas199 really? i noticed the hair first 😅 i wouldn't know for sure, especially from the editing point of view/process, but i think the movement and the light seem to line up if taken from that position, it gives the camera a wider angle of view. at least that's how it looks to me based on my little experience in photography. but then again, i wouldn't know for sure. still a wonderful idea though 😍
This song is for Jonghyun. All the symbolism clearly points that out. Jonghyun wil always be part of Shinee maybe not physically but his presence manifests itself in this song and in the way Shinee carry themselves. Onew, Key, Taemin, and Minho are carrying on for us Shawols but we must not forget that they must still be struggling tremendously with Jonghyun's death so we must always support the boys with anything they do from here on. We must remind them how precious their lives are to us and how we will not let Jonghyun die in vain. there is something extra special about SHINee. you keep coming back to songs that just has meaning like no other... Their songs are personal, deep, happy, made with such heart. But i don't even know how to explain it. They just have the ability to create something soulful, that most other groups can't. Maybe second gen kpop is also just different. Their sound will always be so uniquely them. This song is so special. ALL the hidden details. Which at first you don't think too much of, and then you realize all the symbolism of things and all the ways shinee wanted to SAY something so much deeper than you will understand on first listen. but it is wrapped in something that sounds happy. I will also NEVER sh*t up about the fact that they were beyond strong for doing this. i will never understand how they did it. But they needed it. we needed it. and i will forever be thankful to them for still being here and keep on keeping on 💕

I have heard that they set trends every time they have comeback in Korea. Since I don't live in Korea what kind of trends do they set?
Saye Zigbuo one of the most famous examples are skinny jeans, before shinee debuted in 2008 skinny jeans were not a thing in Korea and it was only after their debut that skinny jeans became popular. Also they were the first in kpop to use dubstep with Everybody and after that more groups started releasing dubstep based songs, also they brought the EDM vibe to Korea with View.

There are so many references in this MV, I feel I can write a thesis and everything but for now, I'll only point out a couple of things:
I) That fox is a main character from Jjong's favorite book, "The Little Prince". The "bad" cgi on the fox is intentional and alludes to The Little Prince book animations.
II) In several cultures the fox bears a symbolic assosiation to the afterlife. In Celtic folklore
"The ancient Celts considered the Fox an expert on the layout of the forest and held this particular animal in high esteem for it’s wisdom. They also relied upon the Fox with his intuitive sense of direction to be their guide on the path to the spirit world"
Keep in mind that we did see the boys run through a forest.
III) There is an 5th empty chair in the beginning. Also at the part where they are at the well, there are 5 trees behind them and there is also a 5th person as a shadow inside it. The point when they are looking inside the well itself is also a scene from "The Little Prince" book animations and I am a crying mess again.
IV) The pearl aqua blue lighting throughout the MV and the pearl aqua "stage" the dance on is a shoutout to SHAWOL (pearl aqua blue is the fandom's official color).
V) The song's lyrics are very heartwarming and touching and, imho, the are for both Jonghyun and SHAWOL.
VI) I also think that the reference to 112 Cupid is more than an hommage. It's more of a message for all the negative things they've been hearing this whole time since that day. I won't elaborate further on this, fans know what I'm talking about. Esp the part of the lyrics of 112 Cupid that go:
"Girl if I told you I love you
That doesn't mean that I don't care, oooh
And when I tell you I need you
Don't you think that I'll never be there, ooooh
Baby I'm so tired of the way you turn my words into
Deception and lies
Don't misunderstand me when I try to speak my mind
I'm only saying what's in my heart"
There are so many layers to this song & MV, I could write so much more but I'll stop here. I hope what I did write made sense, If not, forgive me; my mind and heart are racing, I'm too shook right now.

Emman Abaigar I think the cameras represent the media always monitoring their every move. Taemin standing on the piano represents his passion being an artist and key breaking the piano somehow symbolizes at some point he was so mentally exhhausted in the music industry that he blamed music.

If anyone is watching or listening to them with a sense of pity or sympathy then I don't really appreciate that. SHINee have never made music for the masses and we love them for that. SHINee is like "THE KPOP" which means they do every kpop groups concept first before others can follow up. I hope everyone noticed it! They're even titled as experimental group or trend setters because of this. SHINee never settled for one concept.

In korea, if people (I'm talking middle aged, old people) know that you stan shinee, they say wow you have taste. SHINee is really popular in Korea. It's just sm doesn't promote them as much as their other groups so their online presence is really weak compared to say, nct or red velvet.
30 million is a lot..considering this is Shinee I would say most of the views are unique, i.e people are not streaming multiple times on purpose. Views on kpop MVs nowadays are rarely genuine, they are streamed repeatedly by fans.

I just got into them now and I regret not getting into them earlier
I'm back to this and I can't stop looking at the storyline as a spiritual awakening. They're somehow caged in a glass room full of what they're used to which is cameras and work. At some moment they get tired of it all and Key starts breaking the piano, which represents their work and day to day life. Then a fox appears in a mysterious forest looking like it's calling SHINee to leave that place and go to the forest with it. They look at the pit and there's a shadow of a person coming from inside of it, like the pit is a portal for another dimension. When they get into that dimension, which is represented by diving into the water (and observe that it rains inside the glass dome meaning it is being broken) they are actually going to meet that shadow person. When they follow the fox, they find happiness in the forest, and are living their best lives. But in the end they have to say goodbye to that special friend and see the shadow disappearing. I see the fox as the spirit of the forest, an elemental spirit or something like that, that has the mission to call the boys to connect to their essence and live with full happiness. And the shadow is the dear friend they are going to find in that parallel dimension they dive into, but have to say goodbye to eventually when coming back.
I wish people would stop saying SHINee is underrated just because of stupid views.. they are very much loved and appreciated; they mean the world to us Shawols and much more.. nothing can even begin to describe how we feel for these precious angels.. each one of them has loads of talents that whole groups don't have.. so, just say something positive and be supportive about their comeback, music, dance, vocals, vid, etc... the list goes on for ever.. it's SHINee. Remember they read your comments 😣
