I remember that movie and I remember when Greg and Rodrick were home alone while their parents are out of town and Rodrick threw a party and then they had to clean everything before their parents get home but they were caught. First, they forgot to change the lock from the bathroom door to the basement door and they forgot to delete all the party pictures
The fact that in the end, Nelson doesn't escape punishment cause he conducted the party despite knowing the consequences shows great attention to detail to give a good message that your actions always have a way of coming back to you. Great work Dhar.

A better ending to the story would have been Nelson reporting Shannon to the police and she gets arrested for stealing a car and billing her parents for the $500 for the repair shop plus compensation.

That's literally one of the worst things you could do, specially with people who don't care about you. It's unbelievable how gullible he was about them. I can't believe he actually manage to clean up all these mess and even get the credit card back and the car repaired in only 4 hours before his parents got back
