  • Here’s an intermediate lesson on how to play fiddle chord backup on an old time song called Blackest Crow in G Major.
This will allow you to play backup for when you jam with others. You’ll also be able to backup for your own voice as you sing the song. Eventually, you can alternate between singing with backup and the melody. 🏆

I have a request I have been trying to play " I wish my baby was born". I can't find anything anywhere on how to play it other than sheet music. I can't read sheet music and this tune is a big reason for me picking up a fiddle in the first place. I think I have some of it I'm not sure maybe it uses a different tuning something about they way I'm playing that just a little bit off. Anyways if you will do it then I will enroll in your online course as an incentive lol. Thanks

This is what I don't get about chords ... how are C (G0/D1) and Em (G0/D1) not the same chord?

      See if this helps:
      C major notes C, E, G
      E minor notes E,G, B
They both have E and G. So a double stop with E and G could be either chord.
