Alberta ministers provide update on wildfires - July 31, 2024

In a virtual news conference, Alberta Forestry Minister Todd Loewen and Public Safety Minister Mike Ellis provide an update on the ongoing wildfire situation in the province.
They are joined by Christie Tucker, Alberta Wildfire information unit manager, and Joe Zatylny, deputy managing director with the Alberta Emergency Management Agency.
There are currently 114 wildfires burning in the province, with 20 of them classified as out of control.
