Dan has incredible range (4 octave) and can sing anything, from opera to metal, rock, ballads, show tunes, etc. He is from Brazil and records from his garage studio. He has a band named Fearless and they have one album. He has been a solo performer for many years and has just reached 1 million subscribers, his long time goal from 7 years ago. All of his songs are great, but you really need to hear his version of Amazing Grace. He adds his metal flavor to it and it is like no other version you have ever heard. As much as I love the original, his version is my go to. I can hear him singing it when I am singing it in church. His O Holy Night is also like no one you have ever heard sing it before. Be prepared for surprises. Dan is a Christian and has several reimagined hymns on his channel. But symphonic power metal is his wheelhouse and he is a unique and inspiring artist. I enjoyed your perspective very much and have subscribed. I hope to hear more Dan Vasc on your channel. Thanks.
Thank you for reacting to Dan Vasc... He is beyond belief in so many ways. He is a Brazilian heavy metal singer but he can sing any genre that he wants to 99 and 99/100 % of the time when he does it it's better than the original. He does this song better than any of those I have seen perform it.... if you aren't touched by his performance... there is something wrong with you lol. Thank you so much. Enjoyed your reaction... hope you will be doing more of Dan Vasc in the future.
Welcome to the Vask Nation. Dan sings all genres at the highest level. He has an incredibly wide range vocally. Great reaction. More Dan, please: Amazing Grace | Bring Me To Life | Burn Butcher Burn etc. 😊
This is a stage worthy performance. Dan prefers metal but he can sing in any genre perfectly! I’m surprised you never heard of Dan. He has one million subs and is on Amazons best selling metal artists list. He has over 240 covers. You won’t be disappointed by any of them. Also, Dan never just sings a song, he performs the song. He is just as amazing to watch as he is to listen to. Thanks for reacting to this one and I hope you plan to discover more of Dan.
Late getting to this, but definitely watch the 1973 film version. It is VERY 70's hippie vibe, but the score is great and this is an essential first experience of the show (especially Carl Anderson's Judas).
His Amazing grace is fantastic. His I'll make a man out of you from the Disney film Mulan is fantastic. His Hallelujah one man choir is fantastic. His opera Nessum dorma is fantastic.
I first found Dan through Amazing Grace ... as an 82 yr old lady I never liked metal .. I am now addicted .. He has become my favorite artist ... Check out O Holy Night, Adeste Fideles, Music of the Night from Phantom .. he can sing anything from ballads, to metal, to opera (Nessun Dorma)

Now you know him! Welcome to the Rabbit Hole! All his covers are Brilliant , there are over 250 covers on his channel- so more reactions please! Definitely check out Amazing Grace !
I love this version, it shows Christ's human side, his human emotions, and fear, and, how his spiritual side gives him the strength to carry through. It shows the stages of grief we all go through, denial, anger, bargaining, and finally acceptance. I have the 1973 movie and have watched at least 100 times. I thought no one could do this song better than Ted Neely, until I heard and saw Dan's version. Dan sings so well, but what I love most is the emotions he puts into the performance. I enjoyed your reaction and have subscribed, looking for to more reactions. Thank you.
It's worth listening to and watching every single song by Dan Vasc. World-class performer and singer in every genre. Whether opera (Nessun Dorma) or Phantom of the Opera ("the Music of the Night") or his own music with his band Fearless (Tale with no End). Listen and enjoy. ♥️🤘. Dan Vasc has just reached his 1 million subscribers... On to the next 🎉. Thx for sharing.
I think you should listen to O holy night, and Adeste Fideles, Amazing Grace and Nessun Dorma and all the other suggestions as well LOL. Thanks for your reaction
Most people have commented already and I will just second that. He is true vocalist in every way. His vocals powerful, clean, inspiring and emotional and doesn't leave anything on table. Dan enjoys making and you can tell. He has 225+ songs in his catalog and you will never be disappointed. His latest is My Heart Go On with a metal twist and working on a tribute Manowar album. Just a few suggestions, Toss A Coin To Your Witcher, Burn Butcher Burn (Witcher), Amazing Grace, I'll Make A Man Our Of You *mulan), Dawn Over A New World (Dragonforce), Music Of The Night (Phantom), Nessum Dorma, Bring Me To Life (Nightwish), a lot of Bon Jovi songs and on and on. Looking forward to more of Dan on your trip down the rabbit hole.
Dan is Brazillian and is so versatile it's ridiculous! Please check out Amazing Grace, I'll Make a Man Out of You and Iron Maiden's Number of The Beast.
Dan is awesome! We his fans call ourselves Vasc Nation. He can (and does) sing everything from opera to heavy metal, though his preferred genre is metal. He just hit 1 million subscribers two days ago! Head down the Dan Vasc rabbit hole. You won't be disappointed. Dan could sing the phone book and it would still be life changing. And yes, this song depicts what the writer believed was going through Jesus' mind before they arrested him. Yes - watch Dan's O Holy Night. Be prepared for a metal twist to the song! His band's name is Fearless. There's a full album from them on Dan's website and also on RUclips. But most of what Dan does now are various cover songs in various genres.
Welcome to the world of the phenomenal Dan! Your musical life will never be the same. Dan, as others have said, is a heavy metal singer - a great one - but he's also classically trained (that's obvious in this performance) and can basically sing almost anything - folk, ballads, Broadway, Christmas, 80s covers, tons of hard rock and metal, and classical/opera. Whatever you want, Dan can sing (if he feels like singing it - he's the only one who decides what he's going to perform). You should see The Music of the night, completely straight, non-metal. My favorite Christmas song of his is Angels We Have Heard on High, sung in 5 languages and with a chorus of Dans in the background. It's gorgeous and joyous, and really shows off his range and incredible breath control. For your next one, I would recommend My Heart Will Go On, which Dan turns on its head, or Burn Butcher Burn, from the Witcher series. Both are songs that Dan has "metalized," and they're both fantastic. Thanks for giving Dan a look. I'm eager to see what you react to next.
No artist has ever impressed me as much as Dan Vasc! This is the most touching version of this song I have ever seen! Also check out his version of "Amazing Grace. You will be surprised! Thanks for your reaction! 😊
Great reaction! Always great fun to see people hear or see Dan for the first time! Dan is the most versatile singer I’ve seen. He has done some Phantom of the Opera. Rock n Roll: Two of my favorites are Kickstart My Heart and Born to Be Wild covers. His Witcher covers are also great. Especially like Priscilla’s Song (metal version) Hope you continue your journey into the Dan Vas Universe! It is an Epic place!❤💥
The original album of JCS is really great! Highly recommend it. Dan is a superb vocalist. I hope you continue with many more reactions to him. Yove been given a good selection of songs from him to start, but, any of his covers are worth reactions to. Subbing for more DV! 😊
Wonderful comments!! I recently listened to/watched Read Choi's skit where Jesus is so frustrated with his followers & sarcastically pointed out that He gave them only 1 mouth but 2 ears, for a reason. I flashed to that part of his skit when you commented on the sad & tired part. Bingo!! Dan was brilliant in this (& most all of his songs, really). I think the main person on this was Neeley. Outstanding performance by Dan!! Thank you for sharing!
Dan is a multi facted singer, musician. This is one of his more intense performances. He sings everything from opera to power metal. He covers a lot of music from the 80's. He also has an amazing band, Fearless, he has original songs with them. Please explore his channel, you will love it.
What a vocal, what a story teller, what a range .. He is so good, and I love his voice, especially his growl. But I am not a fan of the musical. But he is so special I will be checking out his site.
No, it isn’t your stereotypical musical production number. Sorry. People on here talking about Dan, it’s all 100%. We love him. One thing I might add just in case it hasn’t been mentioned, Dan does not use any back up singers. Ever. It’s incredible if you watch Hallelujah from Handel’s Messiah and Bohemian Rhapsody. Dan is a musical chameleon and a genius.
Helen Reddy singing "I don't know how to love him" from Jesus Christ superstar by Andrew Lloyd Webber. ruclips.net/video/WOCwE5D9Ghk/видео.htmlsi=Oq_guLTVKEGMGC1L Sung by the character of Mary Magdalene. In the opera she is presented as bearing an unrequited love for the title character. The song has been much recorded, with "I Don't Know How to Love Him" being one of the rare songs to have had two concurrent recordings reach the top 40 of the Hot 100 chart in Billboard magazine, specifically those by Helen Reddy and Yvonne Elliman.
Please more reactions to Dan Vasc. His vocal range is amazing. He does many covers and truly makes each one better than the original. He sings every genre you could hope for. He sounds like a dozen different singers rolled into one person. Amazing Grace would be a good one to go to next, then onward from there. He has over 200 in his catalog.
This is one of my favorite performances of Dan's. Since you are new to this incredible artist's music, I suggest going to his website to familiarize yourself with everything he has done. He has over 245 songs to choose from. I am partial to Ted Neely's performance as Jesus in the 1973 movie. Dan is comparable to his vocal skills. In my opinion. Welcome to VascNation! Enjoy sharing his journey with all of his over a million subscribers. ❤
For Jesus Christ Superstar, my recommendation is that you go for the original concept album rather than any of the various cast albums or the film soundtrack. You can find it on RUclips. Look for the yellow, purple, red, white cover. The concept album is where JCS began. Ian Gillan, the lead singer of Deep Purple, sang Jesus. I got it when it came out in 1970 and wore the grooves off playing it over and over. The later stage productions were great but for me never surpassed just listening to that.
I actually went to see a production of Jesus Christ Superstar in Manchester, UK, when I was over there for a visit last month. It really is worth watching. I think you can actually see a copy of the original film here on RUclips, featuring Ted Neeley I believe. Dan has mastered this performance though. Found Ted's version here - ruclips.net/video/ndZ6B1EaJEs/видео.htmlsi=Iz5mXsydOBLCNQz_ Thank you for your reaction.
Dan is the most amazing singer I have ever heard. Classic Italian opera to hard metal with some Elvis thrown in too. He is amazing. O Holy Night will literally blow your mind. He puts his own amazing unique spin on it but yet classical at the same time.
Dan is from Brazil, English is not his first language. He has his band named Fearless. He sang for a minute with orian reign. You are about to go down a rabbit hole that has many songs to enjoy.
All was said about him. Now songs that might interest you is, Amazing grace, Oh holy night, Majesty, For all, Handel's Hallelujah, Angels we have heard on high, Adeste Fidelis, Beyond belief, all Christian. Next Music of the night. Phantom of the opera, A million dreams, Never enough, all Broadway. Beauty and the beast, also Beauty and the beast on Minniva's channel, My heart will go on, I'll make a man out of you (Mulan), Kiss from a rose(ft Voilet Orlandi), Lord of the rings, Eye of the tiger, Burning heart, movies. Also fantastic for me is his cover of Nessum Dorma and Fairy tale.
Oh, at the beginning they chose a very demanding song from Dan. I can assure you, Dan doesn't sweat, that was part of the production. Dan is actually a Brazilian metal singer, composer and his over 200 covers are on RUclips. On Sunday he reached his goal of 1 million subscribers. He makes his videos in his garage and mostly his covers himself. His band friends from fearless and some very good guitarists help him. A lot has already been mentioned here and I agree with the comments. Be curious and be surprised by the huge voice (4 octaves if I'm not mistaken) and the many different colors of his music. P.S. He also sings Phantom of the Opera "The Music of the Night".😉 Thank you for your response to this epic cover and have we piqued your interest......
Dan is absolutely incredible he is in a heavy metal band called fearless. His voice is beyond crazy good, he has a lot of songs on his channel my top suggestions of his for you is “Amazing Grace” and “I’ll make a man out of you” P.S Jesus Christ Superstar is absolutely brilliant. Tim Minchin does a brilliant version of “heaven on my mind”
For a drummer, the most interesting songs in Dan's channel are probably the cover of the Power Metal classic Dawn of Victory, with original singer Fabio Lione and Fearless, Dan's band and Burn Butcher, Burn, very interesting choices there... There's also Carry On, but I'm tempted to recommend the Angra original, except their current label don't cooperate...
Dear Btother , Greetings from Malaysia, your 65 yrs old faithful fan. Thank you for your wonderful reaction to Dan Vasc Love it❤❤❤ I would like to introduce another amazing Singer Gabriel Henrique. Gabriel and Dian Vasc are the current best VOCALIST of the new generation. Please don't miss reacting to Gabriel latest released performsceiyh Carol Black to black "I Want To Know What Love Is" This is the MOST STUNNING & HIGHEST NOTE EVER Gabriel dnd Proving that Gabriel is the current Best VOCALIST I'm the World of the new generation. Love hugs from Malaysia ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
For me there are only three fabulous singers in the world. Dan Vasc, Dimash Kudaibergen and Lara Fabian. You should hear Lara sing Je suis Malade. Dimash singing love is like a dream. And many many more.
Probably the best version of Superstar for newbies is the 1973 film by Norman Jewison, with Ted Neely as Jesus and Carl Anderson as Judas. That is the closest to the bible story as well, although it does begin by showing it as a passion play put on by a bus full of Jesus freaks. The others all have real ideosyncracies, and there are several local versions on RUclips. I would skip the John Legend NBC version. Dan has a million RUclips subscribers, and the rabbit hole is a luxury hotel.
Jesus Christ Superstar focuses on the human side of Jesus, with parts where he's really weary and almost fed up with everything. I think that makes the story very relatable and powerful. There is also a great portait of Judas, who is not just the stereotypical evil guy. He actually admires and loves Jesus, he just think "this God thing" is going a bit too far, and that it will make the authorithies come down on them. Dan Vasc's version of Gethsemane is my favorite cover version (though maybe a bit overdramatic). But I still think the original, sung by Deep Purple's Ian Gillan, is unsurpassed. Unfortunately, there was never any stage or movie production with the original cast, but there's a clip on YT of Gillan singing Gethsemane. There was a production just some years ago, with John Legend as Jesus (very pale, unfortunately), and Alice Cooper as Herod! There has also been a production with TIm Minchin as Judas. The most common filmed version is the movie with Ted Neeley as Jesus. He's ok, but not of Gillan's caliber IMHO. Whatever version you choose to watch, I stronly suggest that you also listen to the original recording, at least in your own time. It's well worth it.
He is simply wonderful, isn't he? He rips our soul from our body, speaks to it and leaves it halfway, without it knowing how to return... His range, his vocal technique, his theatrical expressiveness... Daniel is a perfectionist and complete artist - he could be successful on any stage in the world, but he remains practically isolated in the garage of his house, with his instruments, his gym equipment and his video games. Thank you very much for your reaction. Hugs from Curitiba - Brazil 🇧🇷
Adding: Daniel sings in 7 languages, so don't be surprised... his Latin is magnificent! He is known as the "Brazilian Baby Alien" and "Pirelli's Advertisement" (because "Power is NOTHING without control" 😆). Our "Warrior with a Pure Heart" and "Brazilian Black Wolf" - the voice that "awakens lions".
If you want to see Dan cover another musical check out 3 songs he does from the Phantom of the Opera, he makes a fantastic job of them all but my favourite is Music of the Night he's incredible. He can sing anything, truly amazing!
Dan does several phantom of the Opera songs. Also, listen to his take on Nessum Dorma. It is mind blowing. Thank you for the music and the amazing reaction. You are now a member to the Vasc Nation, growing stronger everyday! ❤️💋
Welcome to the Dan Vasc rabbit hole. I think you'll love it. Yes, if you like "O Holy Night", please react to Dan's Version. It's quite inspiring and uplifting. Enjoyed your reaction!
I think Jesus was scared he had to face Gods wrath which God poured out on him and to also look like sin on the cross infront of his Father when Jesus was innocent in order to punish the sins and reconcile all who believe and trust in Christ as the one and only Savior that God sent.. Then was buried and Rose again defeating Death. And he is coming back oneday. Hopefully, soon. Thank you Jesus for taking my punishment!!! I am so Grateful! Glory to God Always. Maranatha!!!!
Ooooh oooooh oooooh!!! Give me a moment. I'll be back!!! Ok, now. I have attached a clip of the song "Everything's Alright" from the stage play. This version is performed on an Australian variety show from waaaaaaaaay back called Hey Hey It's Saturday. The lead singers are Kate Cebrano, John Farnham and Jon Stevens. Watch to the end of the clip because the also do a quick impromptu of Amazing Grace. ruclips.net/video/yZHjXHaL-pk/видео.html And no. Unfortunately, I am not a financial supporter to you. I can't afford such things at this time. I hope to in the future though.
I was somewhat disappointed by the movie version of "Jesus Christ Superstar". Good performances all around (Peter Ustinov was great), but did they have to cast a Black artist (if memory serves, the only POC, at least as a main character) as Judas Ischariot? Really?!?
Welcome to the Dan Vasc rabbit hole. I think you'll love it. Yes, if you like "O Holy Night", please react to Dan's Version. It's quite inspiring and uplifting. Enjoyed your reaction!

I enjoyed your expressions as you watched the performance. You understood the emotions Jesus as played by Dan was experiencing.
I think you should listen to O holy night, and Adeste Fideles, Amazing Grace and Nessun Dorma and all the other suggestions as well LOL. Thanks for your reaction
I'll check it out!
My suggestion is to check out his Amazing Grace and My Heart Will Go On. Also his version of Nessun Dorma is brilliant.

Well said, and I love Adeste Fideles… Dan basically swappes back and forth between choir boy and metal in that performance 😊
When I first listened to it, I was shocked by his voice. It's engraved! I'm addicted!!!
No artist has ever impressed me as much as Dan Vasc! This is the most touching version of this song I have ever seen! Also check out his version of "Amazing Grace. You will be surprised! Thanks for your reaction! 😊

Dan is incredible
Dan is the most amazing singer I have ever heard. Classic Italian opera to hard metal with some Elvis thrown in too. He is amazing. O Holy Night will literally blow your mind. He puts his own amazing unique spin on it but yet classical at the same time.
Dan is from Brazil, English is not his first language. He has his band named Fearless. He sang for a minute with orian reign. You are about to go down a rabbit hole that has many songs to enjoy.
All was said about him.
P.S. He also sings Phantom of the Opera "The Music of the Night".😉
Thank you for your response to this epic cover and have we piqued your interest......
Dan is absolutely incredible he is in a heavy metal band called fearless. His voice is beyond crazy good, he has a lot of songs on his channel my top suggestions of his for you is “Amazing Grace” and “I’ll make a man out of you”
P.S Jesus Christ Superstar is absolutely brilliant.
You would probably enjoy the Nightwish rendition of Gethsemane, live from Buenos Aires!
Dude! Watch Oh Holy Night and My Heart Will Go On. Dan Vasc is amazing. Thanks for the reaction ❤
Added!

Dan e Gabriel são do mesmo Estado (Minas Gerais), mas de cidades diferentes.
Abraço do Rio-Brazil. ❤
Welcome to Vasc Nation! He's awesome!
This song is not entirely biblical. But it’s a wonderful version. JC Superstar was a hippie show/movie.
Our "Warrior with a Pure Heart" and "Brazilian Black Wolf" - the voice that "awakens lions".
wow really good my friend!!
Thanks a lot!
If you want to see Dan cover another musical check out 3 songs he does from the Phantom of the Opera, he makes a fantastic job of them all but my favourite is Music of the Night he's incredible. He can sing anything, truly amazing!
Don't forget Amazing Grace. It is Amazing!
Dan does several phantom of the Opera songs. Also, listen to his take on Nessum Dorma. It is mind blowing. Thank you for the music and the amazing reaction. You are now a member to the Vasc Nation, growing stronger everyday! ❤️💋
💖💖✨✨💖💖
I love the musical. Definitely watch the official movie from 1973.
Please do a reaction video of Dan’s one man choir of Handel’s Messiah. He does all the voices and it is absolutely stunning. #VascNation 🎉
This may be the best song Dan did and yes this is on my Playlist
Welcome to the Dan Vasc rabbit hole. I think you'll love it.
Yes, if you like "O Holy Night", please react to Dan's Version. It's quite inspiring and uplifting.
Enjoyed your reaction!
Interesting reaction. Dan can sing in many different styles.
I haven’t heard if “Oirates” since 1965!!! lol 😂😂😂🎉
Amen!

And no. Unfortunately, I am not a financial supporter to you. I can't afford such things at this time. I hope to in the future though.
Enough about you, what did you think of Dan?
Listen further. I make it clear.
As for watching "Jesus Christ Superstar" please watch the movie from the 70's.
Watch the film first!
I was somewhat disappointed by the movie version of "Jesus Christ Superstar". Good performances all around (Peter Ustinov was great), but did they have to cast a Black artist (if memory serves, the only POC, at least as a main character) as Judas Ischariot? Really?!?
Well, I was hoping to know your opinion about the performance of the singer and not about the history involved, could not give you a👍, sorry.
You didn’t watch the whole video then.
Welcome to the Dan Vasc rabbit hole. I think you'll love it.
Yes, if you like "O Holy Night", please react to Dan's Version. It's quite inspiring and uplifting.
