Sonic Mania - Hidden "Perfect Spin Dash" Tech

What we thought was Mania's top spin dash speed is actually only 2nd best. Enter the 1 frame "perfect spin dash."
Update: Turns out you don't actually need a 7th input! Rather than doing a 6-tap and then releasing with a 7th press, you can also get perfect speed with a 5-tap and a 6th input on release!

Basically the more you spam the faster you go max speed at 6 tap I guess
And you need to realease after you tap immediatly

Hm... Since this game runs on the same engine of the mobile remakes of S1/2/CD, would it be applicable on those games as well?

Never played the remakes so I can't say. It's possible, but you'd need to ask someone with those games to verify.

i kind of hate this mechanic. because of its difficulty, many of the good times in ils are impossible for me because if I mash too much, for some reason, my heart gives out. I got ray green hill zone 1 record a year ago which took a lot of endurance from me I guess.

The Spindash (according to the video) has 6 states (or speeds)
When you relase it at the same time you should press the jump button, making it faster

Nope, it's been removed. If it weren't, then this speed technique would not be possible.
