Unlock Everything in Sonic Mania Plus - All Medals Cheat Guide

- EDIT: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DELETE YOUR SAVE FILE. i did this in the video to show that stuff wasn't unlocked previously. You can use this regardless of how many medals you currently have.
decided to redo this video since i have a switch now i can show how that works for those of you having problems who own the switch version, this will work on PC, PS4, and Xbox as well as long as you have the Mania Plus Update, meaning that you can play as Mighty and Ray or have a DLC option on the Main Menu. this will not work if you do NOT have that plus update.
Here are the steps:
1. Input the titlescreen cheat. Up, Up, Down, Down, Up, Up, Up, Up. if you hear a ring sound, then move onto the next step.
2. Go to Level Select and input "Stealth's Code" (1 9 7 9 0 8 1 1) into the sound test. if you hear a Ring sound, then move onto the Next step.
3. Put in (1 9 8 9 0 5 0 1) "Hunter's Birthday" into the sound test. If you hear a ring sound, you failed to do one of the steps above correctly. restart the game and try again. if you hear a sound like a medal was collected, then you've completed all the steps, go into any stage, and exit. after that you should get messages for what you have unlocked. these are saved on your savegame now, so if you want to exit the game you can and they should still be there next time you go back in.

Let me know if you want more switch mania videos. like how to transfer your PC Savegame over. or how to enable the dev menu on the switch version. you'll need a modded switch for both, but it can be done.
except they're not supported on the switch. it can be done, but it's a pain.

Thank you for this video! I've had Sonic Mania Plus on my Switch for 2-3 years, and I've put in these cheats before, but I ended up deleting Sonic Mania for space purposes. Now I'm back again doin these cheats.

@@ProudEdits4U oh i just bought the 256 gb one because i thought why would i buy a $350 switch + like $420 worth of games, and not buy a $60 sd card. nintendo is so expensive, but tbh, most the games are worth it for gamers/ keeping interest in gaming.

The reason why players always get a ring sound even after completing all three steps flawlessly is actually mods. If you are playing the PC/Steam version of Sonic Mania Plus with mods, you must uninstall the loader in the Sonic Mania Mod Manager. If you don't, you won't be able to get all 32 gold medallions! It's just an FYI.

The fact i did all the blue spheres section twice when i was 9 and to just to figure out you could’ve done this made me cry. I spent hours and hours doing the blue spheres and able to unlock everything. At least work was spent well.

hey, i have a problem, I did the deletion of all my data, I put the 2 codes, but in the second instead of sounding the sound of the medal it sounds like a ring, and when I left the level everything was still the same
Did you do the second code first? It only works when you have put in the first code

Uhm the thing to unlock anything won’t work for me
im not sure if all these months youre going to see this, but here are a few things you need to know:
1: the time frame to input the debug mode unlock code in the title screen is quite tight: you need to start it when the screen flashes once, and not at any point other than that.
2: apparently, the nintendo switch copies have a different way to unlock debug mode still on the title, yet im not sure about how it must be performed.
3: this might be stupid but you have to play the sound test tracks in order to unlock the stuff.

you do know i was the one who pulled the codes from the game originally right? so you didn't really figure it out, you just followed one of the many posts about it or videos after the info out out there.

Also, did you know that during the UFO Special Stage that you could give yourself 1 Mach by pressing W on PC? I don't know the other console controls, but you can give yourself a bunch of bonuses after reaching Mach 3!

In my opinion, the Emerald special stages are pretty fun, they just take a bit of practice. I can get why you my not like them though.

Possibly cause u put in one of the codes wrong or ur using an older version, try updating the game, if that doesn't work then you put a code in wrong and if not that come back to this comment, I'll think of something by then since I'm getting the game tommorow (⌐■-■)

Yeah don’t worry, I figured it out, you can’t have any previous medals
If you didn't get a unlock sound but s ring sound instead. Close the game and try again. Lots of people mess up one step. Then complain it doesn't work for me to tell them to try again and then say it does. So it does your messing up

If you don't want to do this you could just grind out the bonus stages until you unlock debug mode and then just beat the game by spamming sign posts

you need the latest update, so ether a retail copy of mania plus. or just the version where you have the option to buy the DLC on the menu.

I held Y and pushed A but it did not take me to the stage select screen. I put in the code at first screen as well

Using cheats or glitches to unlock everything in a game is a sin. You will learn that from realizing the game is no longer fun.
Sonic Mania, however, only gives you bonuses. You can still enjoy the game as long as you play in sequential order without skipping anything. As for me, I just want to enjoy the game.

I tried the Vita Port without DLC, nope.
But when i found a Already Compiled VPK for Sonic Mania Plus, it worked, loaded dlc and codes worked.

I'm sure I did everything right, I enter the title screen cheat code, I enter stage select by enabling debug mode and hold X and press A (I use an Xbox controller), I enter Stealth's code, and then I enter Hunter's birthday and I hear a ring sound. Is there an extra step I'm missing?
