    I love how you just go with it when something happens that you didn’t expect, such as the crackle effect. It’s very helpful to see the process and not cut out those moments from the video.

    So beautiful! And that gloss is gorgeous! I’m really glad you mentioned modge podge because I was thinking in my head if that could be substituted since I already have it. So thanks for mentioning it can’t be used. Thanks for the inspiration, I’m definitely going to be making these.

    Your ornament turned out cute! I’ve done a similar method with small pieces of fabric and mod podge. I have a video about it from ages ago. But thank you for the tips about this paper method. I may give it a try.

    Like these ornaments! Very pretty! I might try to put a layer of glitter, let it dry then put the last layer of the liquid Tex on.

    Awesome idea. I was thinking of using either napkins or wrapping paper. have you tried these? If yes, how did they work out?

    • @angelicaconrad
      @angelicaconrad  3 месяца назад +1

      Yes on both. They are going to wrinkle a bit, which I like. It gives more texture. So it depends on your taste, if that’s a route you want to go.

      @@angelicaconrad Thank you. Yes, napkins do wrinkle a bit most of the time... but the texture is wonderful. I will have to try these.

    These are gorgeous but too fussy for me. I'm not very patient and I don't like to get stuff on my hands. I love the papers that you used. They really are beautiful.

      Yeah- your hands are gonna get dirty. Lol thank so much for the compliment. I was so pleasantly surprised at how the Holly paper turned out. Thanks so much for stopping by!

      Ms. Strawn,
      Gloves are cheap and leave your hands clean and protected. Remove and toss the gloves, wash your hands as you normally do and you are all set to go. If you prefer to keep your nails polished, the gloves are great at keeping that recent manicure free of damage. Not to mention keeping any drying or irritating substances away from your skin.

    So you don’t waste paper and have to tear a certain way, wouldn’t cutting the paper with scissors in random ways and sizes work too? Btw, love your videos. Thanks for sharing your talent.

    • @angelicaconrad
      @angelicaconrad  Год назад +2

      I like the organic look of ripping, so I’ve never used my scissors. If you try cutting, let me know how it turns out. ❤️

    I have a lot of glass ornaments. Do you think this same process and supplies would work well on glass?

    • @angelicaconrad
      @angelicaconrad  Год назад

      Absolutely. I just worked with glass ornaments yesterday. Liquitex and cardstock. So it for sure will work with thin paper.

  • @sadgrannycdm

    What size are the wooden dowel sticks you tape the ornaments to? Plz and thx.

    • @angelicaconrad
      @angelicaconrad  Год назад +1

      3/8 inch dowel. I recommend taking your ornament to the hardware store. My dowels are too small for my ornaments. I just haven’t gone back to buy a bigger size.

    Hi Angelica, thanks for this awesome idea. Will Mod Podge work for this OR is Liquitex a better option?

    • @angelicaconrad
      @angelicaconrad  Год назад

      Liquitex for sure. Mod pudge dries too fast, and is too thick.

    What is the white core?

    • @angelicaconrad
      @angelicaconrad  Год назад +1

      The white core is what’s inside the layers of paper. If you rip most cardstock, there’s no core to see. It you rip pattern paper, there’s white inside. That’s the core.
