    This video is so clear and accurate and easy to understand. I emailed it to my wife, a chemistry and physics high school teach and a friend who lives in Louisville, KY where some cold climate occurs with some frequency. He is also a retired Ohio State Teacher with a PhD in Geography. I hope both of them enjoy the video.

    Very cool look at how complicated our planets weather is

    That 'AIM' labeled satellite in the diagram stands for 'Artificial Ionospheric Mirror'.

    These form quite often over Seattle seems like before storms and high winds.

    Does this relationship hold true in the Southern Winter, or do the ripples move in the opposite direction?

    We don't know enough about our planet.

    Noctilucent clouds are formed from antartica and lies at the topmost portion.The blue colour indicates that must be ozone that is O3.Because the antartic is free from direct sunlight.The time of formation of noctilucent clouds must be six months in all dark night.

    With this now coming to light, How does this change data collected about global warming research? It would have a large impact on temperature readings but, what implementations does this impact about studies overall?

    Rather than some mysterious "teleconnection," isn't it more likely that there is some other phenomenon, of a global scope, that is driving the whole thing?

    apparently - EVERTHING is connected !

      Everything and everyone is intimately and inextricably interconnected and interdependent. We're all in this together.

    So, if this holds up, it would mean that we can predict weather events two weeks in advance?

    • @Noble4Truths
      @Noble4Truths 10 лет назад +2

      Possibly, but not with the connections identified in this video. Northern polar weather affects NLCs, not the other way around.

    • @AnotherPostcard
      @AnotherPostcard 10 лет назад +2

      Noble4Truths Hmm, what about southern polar weather?

      AnotherPostcard
      .Which came first Northern polar weather or Southern polar weather? Which begs the question: Which is colder? The antartic or the artic. That would seem to depend on the circulation of winds from south to north and weather there are noctilescent cloud layers in the artic. NASA ought to Know by guiding their AIM space craft to different hemispheres.

      It's a little early to know what might come of this. Undoubtedly it could help better understand the global dynamics of our weather, which will help better understand what might happen on a local level. But ... it's complex and complicated...

      This is fascinating. From an earlier talk on the Phenomena of Teleconnection the weather in the tropics has much to do with the climate in north America.

      But Antarctica is at the South Pole, not dividing the South Pole from the North Pole as the video says...

    Good video, but . . . the words "Arctic" and "Antarctic" each have two "Cs" and both "Cs" are pronounced. The narrator needs to practice "ArCtic" and "AntarCtic" in order to polish his commentary. Hearing "Artic" and "Antartic" makes you wince a bit and undermines the professional quality of the video. The video editors should have caught and corrected this.

    How about building an antenna to talk to ICE/ISEE-3? :\ Starting to understand why you won't. You don't want the world to have all that data. Scummy.
