Worship Set #04 - A Spontaneous Session

"But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ." - Ephesians 2v13
didn't go into this one with anything planned, more like a devotional worship moment (ended up singing parts of "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" by Joseph Scriven & "Daily Bread" by P&W Collective). i've been really thinking about closeness with God recently, and I think that came out in this set. i've taken a lot of comfort from the fact that our closeness with God is not based on our performance - instead, we've been brought close to God by the blood of Jesus! the blood of Jesus has not only forgiven us, but also washed us CLEAN of sin; now, we are clothed in the righteousness of Jesus that allows us to be close to God. regardless of whether we "feel" Him or not, God has drawn near to His people by the work of the cross, and continues to draw near to us daily. man... that's so wonderful.
