I've always been on a tight budget for prepping, so few things I have are high end. That being said, some of the things I've purchased cheap have really surprised me. I don't expect cheaper items to compare with high quality, but some of my most trusted gear is generic or off-brand, and it's served me well. It's just a matter of taking the time to research products and look at reviews from others. You really can prep on any budget. I've been through periods where I saved change just to have $5-$10 a week to put into supplies. You can do a lot with little. Typically if there's an aspect of prepping that I can't afford I look back to old-school ways of accomplishing the same task. It takes a little more time and involves learning some new skills, but it can be done. Not to mention skills and abilities will be as good as currency in an ongoing shtf scenario. I don’t usually comment but the bungee on the flashlight is something I didn’t think of, I’ll be changing that tomorrow! No night vision but everything else I’m on it. Yes guess I’m one of the crazy ladies🤷🏻♀️Even made sure my son has a pack and survival kit to get here….nearly off grid. Thanks for the advice on the flashlight! Great video.

If dudes are using night vision in your area, they are military--it’s a super small % that own nv in the US--it’s 3.5k min, I would sooner know my turf and have 5k rounds of ammo.
CCW pistol setup with belt etc Basic Medical kit with TQ Flashlight Packable rain jacket to change appearance and mask to cover face Smoke grenade Pepper spray 24oz of water Also that bungie idea with the light is great. I train a lot with a handheld light and pistol. That might make my life easier with the bungie
Canadian Light Infantry veteran here, thanks for the added knowledge and awareness. I’m going to my basement workshop and replacing all my flashlight lanyards with shock cord, that I’ve already got in my sewing supplies kit! Keep passing on the knowledge! Peace Be The Journey!
I’m a vet and I can say that this is some good information. Not a fan of the Glock because it doesn’t have a safety but I have shot them many times and it’s a solid weapon. I know it’s out of style but get a fanny pack or a hipster man bag like I carry. Also include extra batteries, compass, snack bars and a poncho. I also carry a small bible, you don’t have to but I do. That’s just me.
@ Did I piss you off fan-boy? I was trying to be nice about my opinion but now I see first hand why people say Glock fans are toxic. Go away and play your weekend warrior games and play your X-box.
Basically a Shooter Response or Bailout type Bag. I have 16 Rural Acres, mostly wooded. If things go bump in the night or I need to walk my fences, I have a T3 Bolt Bag to wear cross body. 2 Mags coupled in the rifle, my pistol and 2 mags and knife on belt. My Bag basically has a Tourniquet, a Bleed Kit and Chest Seals, a Bottle of water, 4 or 5 mags. If I'm walking the entire area, a small back pack or sling bag with a poncho and an extra bottle of water. I purchased one of your BSS Lights and carry it regularly. I'm from the Old School in Pistol training before the days when everyone had weapon lights. I use mine exactly the way you describe. I don't like searching with a light on a gun where I'm pointing that gun at every place or person I sweep. What a great position to be in to walk out side using you pistol to light up an area and it's a couple of Cops with their guns drawn.
I live in upstate NY and they have always made it hard to get a handgun, first you gotta wait 18 months for the permit process and at the end of the paper they make you say what you need it for, and they decide if the reason is good enough. I put its my right to own one, and that i needed it for my business. They said that having a custom car shop doesn't qualify cus i wasn't bringing Large amounts of Cash to the Bank. It made no sense besides that they uave always violated the constitution, and that was almost 20yrs ago. I have plenty of rifles and things, i made sure to stock up on stuff, cus now they have made it so we can't even buy certain rifles or even shotguns. The government in NY Also has put limitations on ammo. The illegals are literally just waiting for orders and people are blind, i have people everywhere in the tri state area cus of when i owned a custom car shop and threw car and bike club events, and they have been telling me the things they have been seeing. I promise you people that jack is not fear mongerering anyone,he is just looking out for us ,cus most people are blind to what's going on or some people are complicent in it. Stay frosty strapped and dangerous.
Thats one of the reasons I left. I love my hometown and the area around it, but it's stuck in the dystopian nightmare of NYS. I waited 13 months to take ownership of my first pistol and that was back in 2006.
@@Constitutionalist76 exactly, I've been trying to move to Tennessee, but work just always slowed me down, then during all this I had to use all my savings just to survive, I have plenty of other fire arms that I'm grandfather into, that Noone else can even buy now cus Kathy hulchle. I called up a few 🔫 store to sell a few and they told me they can't buy them cus Noone would be able to buy them. They wouldn't even buy any of my semi automatic 12 gauges. NYs literally takes freedoms away and it's crazy to me cus the revolution was fought here mostly. So much history in NY that our country was founded on you would think we would have theis Rights. I need to get outta this state, but for now I'm stuck here and I'ma stand 10 toes down and just let the chips fall where they will. Be safe out their.
Another upstate NY yeah it's hard here bud i wish I earlier jumped on the pistol permit cause now it's even more expensive and has mandatory training even though I've grown up from my dad serving in couple branches way back I've shot pistols with him being there to point it's stupid I gotta prove or give a reason and souch dumb crap here like police or military can buy standard capacity mags but us civis can only have 10 round mags
If you don't think you have time for physical fitness, try using Every Minute On the Minute routines. A super simple (And boring) one I do is 10 squats EMOM. I do roughly 40 to 50min with my PC (Plus the gear). Throw on a podcast and get it done. Also, I have the folder and simple fixed blade from BSS. The folder is legit and the fixed are quality. My go to for cleaning fish lately. Stay safe everyone. Good luck.
Jack “I watch a lot of the walking dead, so I know what I’m talking about”. 😂 I think it’s more like, you’ve been there, done that. I LOVE my BSS V6 flash light. The flashing strobe on that works great to blind somebody, I used it on my wife, she was pissed 😂
I have extra batteries for the flashlight. I keep them in the refrigerator, to preserve the life of them. It's good to seal them in a plastic bag so they don't get wet when bugging out. Your instructions are great, It hadn't occurred to me to move when shooting. Thanks!
I so appreciate the little training exercise you threw in with light tactics. I thank you for your service to this country not only for your time in the Marines, but also the service you provide through this channel to this day 🇺🇸
I am a disabled woman in my late 50s & I take care of my 82yr old mother. So we are definitely on a fixed income so thank you for all you have shown me.
I just got my BlackScout light. It is great! Just the right size, easy to carry. Quick to charge. It us now on my belt always. I have a smaller light for backup in my cargo pocket. We'll worth the money for the BlackScout light! Thank you.
Thanks Jack! Not to brag but I’ve already got everything you’ve shown in spades. I’m not sleepy, & I’ve been awake for a long time. No dead-headin’-doggin’ it, here!
Excellent video. My wife and I are both retired: she has MS, and I have 2 lumbar discs messed up, so we aren't going anywhere. We both are good shooters, however. The shoot and move using the flashlight is a good method, and one that we will practice, and hope to never have to use. .
Remember you know your home better than a bad guy does use it to your adventure. Know where your fatal funnel is use it. These are 2 force multipliers you all ready have against someone in your house. Just my 2 cents,
Great Video Jack - Awesome Info for All - I Thank God I found ur channel years ago to start preparing & training more - gonna go over things to make sure where all items r at - jic I have them in garage but wanna refresh things to b sure ready to roll in a moments notice - jic a mobile scenario. As u said awhile back (like I made for my son at college) I have a smaller go bag for basics in the car & ur light /knife r always at arms reach in car. I Always carry my friend sig p365 😍 BEST EDC ( for ur buck imho) in purse or bellyband - got extended candy bars for her & a collapsible keltek sub 2000 Gen 3 🔥THAT foldable rifle Is EVERYTHING! I can fit in a backpack on my HD & Knowone would ever imagine - gives me concealment & it takes 9mm so ALL same ammo for my needs to stock in bulk easy peasy. Btw another thing for peeps, I highly recommend is neo mags - they clip an extra mag onto the belly band / holster & r magnetic so super easy to carry extra mags w/o worrying if they’ll b easily accessible. Luv luv luv belly bands for us gals or guys even I guess - why not - belly bands SO ROCK! 🥰 They store the bam bam, light, mags & other edc items like folder, stun gun, mace etc… IF u really want to be comfortable while concealing - It’s The Ticket! Belly bands r the coolest piece of equipment I’ve ever seen for EDC - I learned about it in a gals channel called she equips herself - Great Intel!🎯Just like u ~ she wants all prepared ~ Real KNOWS Real!! I will keep sharing ur work w/ all I am able to. I always share whatever I post on fb - in our towns local community fb page as well - in the hopes it helps my community be best prepared. IF we have a capable community, we will be strongest! playing the Way Long Game Here - Been planting seeds since covi 2020 w/ all I can. Funny - people are def Not calling me crazy after they saw how truly crazy things got… it was a HUGE wake up call for many. We Are def On Our OWN - hurricane Helene proved that. It’s imperative to remain vigilant in these times. Thanks again Jack🙏U Provide Many w/Such Critical Info😇 Keep on doin ur thing 🇺🇸💪🇺🇸God Bless U & Yours Always & God Bless the USA❤️🤍💙🙏
A water purifier, fire, a good knife, strong twine/paracord, canned goods, salt, dried foods (if able), a shotgun, a rifle, fishing tackle, rope, medical supplies/meds, tarps/survival blanket, clothing.
Great idea with the flashlight. I will check it out at your store. When moving after flashing the perp, don't move into or through the spot the perp last saw the blinding light. If you must, duck under that spot.
Im in north fl south of tallahassee have u been noticing illegals and haitians? Saw some slavs trying to look like americans at a restraunt millitary 4 sure.Just trying to see if anyone else noticed the same
@SaynoTotheabombinationnation i have seen the illegals take over the construction industry in Central Florida. It's sad. There is a mix of Ukrainian and other Eastern Europeans in this area as well
Kyle, I'm with you, sir, in hoping that there is no civil upheaval in our nation. That being said, I believe that the 'team' most likely to rise up in violence is the one who won this time around, so I think our nation will be okay, so long as the seriously negative elements of the winning side don't strike out, thinking they are untouchable. I don't want the dire predictions of the Left to come true, but if they do, there will be plenty of Americans who love their country, regardless of political ideology, who will bite when cornered. I'm with you, we should all be prepared to defend our nation from threats, both external and internal, and hope for peace to prevail. After all, a house divided, can not stand.
I picked up the BSS flashlight when you told the story about the NC police dept being wiped out and having no equipment. Did i need another flashlight? No. Am i glad i picked up your light? Absolutely. The construction is grest, feels good in the hand, the removeable bezel is awesome, and the light it produces is phenomenal. Even if its not on sale its well worth the money spent!
I have looked into a lot of bags. Too many. The best one I have is a bike daypack. It is compact and doesn't scream prepper. It fits a good amount of items. A few light sources, snack, drink, first aid kit. Fixed knife. Pistol. Keys. Wallet. Or whatever you carry. It also has the advantage of a chest and waist belt so it can't easily fall off or be taken. It's not perfect but throughout all my physical research it is one of the best to get what you need to carry you through. Also for the ladies if you carry one of these and go shopping use a caribiner to hook onto the cart, it prevents someone from stealing your bag if you are looking at something or get distracted.
Jack your nods from us night vision arrives tomorrow. It was the very last thing I was holding off on buying, but your deal caused me to pull the trigger.
After years of sitting on the fence about NVG, I took the plunge after your previous video. The price was good for the package deal and I expect to have it delivered today. Hope it's as good as they say, cuz I've never used NVG before....ex Navy, current retired civilian. Thanks Jack
One of the reasons I bought the p365 is because it's small enough, that I carry it all day, and it came with nite sights. And very true about iodine tablets for water purification. Drink mixes are your friend.
Thank you for the training. Securing the flash light is a great idea. Some of my flashlights have a wrist strap that keeps you from dropping it. Some cheap flashlights have 3-4 modes so can't just on and off.
Awesome video buddy. No politics needed. Thank you!!! Also I am going to get one of your flashlights. I have the Thrunite TT20 and I love it. Mise well get your flashlight too.
The very end of the video is one of the most important things there are those with knowledge and skill that might find your expensive gear as a nice ad on to their skill set
Not a Glock 19, but if you’re looking at a budget pistol because maybe you don’t have 500-600 for a Glock, you might want to check out the Taurus g3. Still a full size pistol and they typically come with a 15 round and 17 round mag. Though in my state you’re limited to 15 rounds. I picked one of these up for just over 300 recently including the tax, shipping and FFL transfer fee. Picked one up for use as a bedside gun, accepts Glock sights so I’ve got tru glo sights on mine which are great. Have a few hundred rounds through the gun so far and so far no hang ups that I can recall. Quick tip on the survival kit and gun cleaning, if you haven’t signed up with USCCA , it looks like they are giving away a pistol cleaning kit, and if you get one of the higher membership options that they are giving away a small survival kit that has a few basics like an Israeli bandage etc. Great tips on the video.
Great video this is the kind of information that so valuable and why more people need to watch your channel. This is basic but it’s where everyone begins and so many content creators are missing this is great information that will get people what they need to be effective! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Jack looking out for those who are “just starting”. Man if your just starting in the wold we have been living in, well lets just leave it at that. Great video again Jack!
GLOCK - Quality and reliability, it works every time, not very expensive. Years ago, I bought my wife her first gun, a "cute" revolver, was crap, shot 2 of 6. Put those same rounds in a better-quality revolver, and had no problem. Quality and reliability, before looks. No one will ever stop a gun use situation to tell you how cute or cool it looks.
Love these videos, great content. I wanted to add items for suggestion, a can of oc mace for urban(non lethal, dogs, etc) and for other load outs, the best roll of duck tape you can buy. (infinite possible uses, fixes, medical, etc, etc)
Hi everyone something no one talks about Is get the dryer lent from your dryer it works really well for a fire starter and it takes not room just smash it keep in a baggie and your good to go
A hand held FLIR and a bunch of batteries, and at least you will see them coming and have an idea of where they are so you have an idea where to shoot. 9mm is the most common pistol caliber in the world and 5.56 is the most common rifle caliber in the US, but if you want to carry THOUSANDS of rounds as you BUG OUT, it's 22WMR for the pistol (PMR-30) 22LR for the rifle! Hi-Point pistols, even though they are ugly as sin, they are the most INEXPENSIVE pistol you can buy, as in $130 to $150 for EVERY common pistol caliber up to and including the 10mm powerhouse, they are all 100% accurate and they work reliably! A decent pump 12 Gauge can be had for as little as $200 brand new! AR-15's built and ready to fire are now down to $400 brand new! Everything else like a Life-Straw and some basics you can nickle and dime together on the cheap!
Very valuable thank you sir.... personally I would step to the side where the light wasn't not towards the hand with the light to where you're going across the lights previous path
Homie with the O6 with AP's will punch out your lungs through your body armor. I know guys sitting home watching NASCAR that can shoot a flea off a dogs back at 300 yards. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE!
Your light may wash out the surefire however it all depends on the situation what throw you want. Also the big test is durability the surefire is battle tested and made in the USA. Obviously you can buy multiple of your lights and probably use them just as well but I like supporting USA made products
"if you can't find the right tool in this garage, Mr., you don't belong near a car." 😂🤣Great advice. More bang for the buck! Really, the skill though. 👍

I grabbed a 99 dollar unit, it needs the ir output it provides to see, but still has the option to turn off ir and scan for signatures.
If dudes are using night vision in your area, they are military--it’s a super small % that own nv in the US--it’s 3.5k min, I would sooner know my turf and have 5k rounds of ammo.
Very good advice brother JR. I was glad you talked about holding the flashlight away from your body.🐕🦺🇺🇲
Thank you for the gift membership! Not sure who but thank you!
The bungee is a great idea!
At least one lol.carry extra stuff on bug out bag
Amen brother! God bless you! God bless America!
CCW pistol setup with belt etc
Basic Medical kit with TQ
Flashlight
Packable rain jacket to change appearance and mask to cover face
Smoke grenade
Pepper spray
24oz of water
Also that bungie idea with the light is great. I train a lot with a handheld light and pistol. That might make my life easier with the bungie
I’ve been doing concrete for 30 years. Bring it!!!!
I drove a mixer for 7 years. Yes,u guys are tough as nails.
Solid!
Thank You Jack.
A very great lesson tonight.
Much appreciated.
My pleasure!
You reminded me to get a backpack and a flashlight! ✅ Thanks so much!
In the Northwest a few of us carry Vasoline Cover cotton balls in a zip loc bag to start a fire quick, sap from trees works too
Just tested my lint eggshell carton and candle wax starters....fucking 45 min burn time!!
Dryer lint folks..free...
Same out here in the Northeast…Gets the fire going no problem even in winter weather.
Well read.
Glocks have 3 safeties, trigger safety, firing pin safety, and drop safe. What more could you ask for.
Manual safeties are homosexual
If you're not a fan of Glocks, you don't know piss about pistols, vet or not.
@ Did I piss you off fan-boy? I was trying to be nice about my opinion but now I see first hand why people say Glock fans are toxic. Go away and play your weekend warrior games and play your X-box.
The Blackscout flashlight is SO Solid, bright, and reliable.
Been using mine daily for YEARS.
Thank you for taking the time to educate those of us who don't have a lot of money. I appreciate you taking suggestions. Stay free brother.
😂 thanks buddy
That joke was hilarious. About spit out my coffee. 😂
Wisconsin here. Thank you for all of the information. 🇺🇸💪🏻
Our pleasure!
I have extra batteries for the flashlight. I keep them in the refrigerator, to preserve the life of them. It's good to seal them in a plastic bag so they don't get wet when bugging out.
Your instructions are great, It hadn't occurred to me to move when shooting. Thanks!
I love the flashlight tactics. I teach some very similar techniques in my martial arts classes. Thanks for the video.
Excellent video for us people just getting by working nights and day shifts on Sat .keep up the good the content.
Thanks, man. I appreciate you putting this video together. I just shared this with friends who aren't well equipped.
I'm a disabled combat veteran O.I.F, Jack brother really enjoyed this video, there's no one better to give advice than yourself, oif out .
Dont forget men’s wipes ‼️- stay clean and stay mean ‼️
😂 Dude wipes are stocked
Already full water storage, preservatives and filtration of multiple means plus electric and manual pumps are a sorely overlooked necessity
@@Jordan-ql6tmI agree.
Great advice and content, Thank you Jack 👍👍
I’m gonna need to watch this multiple times- so much to unpack! Thanks Jack!
Thank you.
Blackscout is legit
Thanks Jack! Not to brag but I’ve already got everything you’ve shown in spades. I’m not sleepy, & I’ve been awake for a long time. No dead-headin’-doggin’ it, here!
you are ready to rumble on november 6
Thank you! Great advice! You help more folks than you probably realize.
God Bless you Brother!!!
Thanks for your education. I will order tomorrow when I can make a list. Too much to get right now . I appreciate your knowledge🇺🇸🙏🏼
Just my 2 cents,
Thanks for these tips Jack. Much appreciated. We never stop learning or being prepared.
God bless brother.
They store the bam bam, light, mags & other edc items like folder, stun gun, mace etc… IF u really want to be comfortable while concealing - It’s The Ticket!
The timing of this hits: was just looking at a few bags in my garage late last night and thinking what needs to go in there!
Thank you, Jack, for all the info! God bless us all!
My pleasure!
Don't leave home without and candy bar and light! Jokes aside, thank you Jack for sharing and working to make a more prepared citizen.
WOLVERINES !!!!!
daryl's dad was definitely a democrat
A water purifier, fire, a good knife, strong twine/paracord, canned goods, salt, dried foods (if able), a shotgun, a rifle, fishing tackle, rope, medical supplies/meds, tarps/survival blanket, clothing.
I do 22 pushups twice a day and challenge all my contacts. I do this as a reminder of the 22 a day we lose to suicide.
Hands down the best channel I’ve ever subscribed to. Thanks Jack
Great idea with the flashlight. I will check it out at your store. When moving after flashing the perp, don't move into or through the spot the perp last saw the blinding light. If you must, duck under that spot.
Checkin in from Florida. Thank you Scout
Right on. Thank you
Im in north fl south of tallahassee have u been noticing illegals and haitians? Saw some slavs trying to look like americans at a restraunt millitary 4 sure.Just trying to see if anyone else noticed the same
@SaynoTotheabombinationnation i have seen the illegals take over the construction industry in Central Florida. It's sad. There is a mix of Ukrainian and other Eastern Europeans in this area as well
I am a veteran of Iraq 2006-2007 and Afghanistan 2009-2010,2012. I pray to God that there is no civil war. But i am prepared.
@@nicholasearl5703Calm down, Pol Pot.
Have the Black Scout Flashlight. Every morning before dawn use it just like you instructed and check my property for perps.
😂😂😂😂
Awesome. Enjoy!
If they hit you with the weather weapons all your preps will be washed away along with you if you don't bug out in time.
Solid advice, no fluff or BS.
The bungee cord on the flashlight is a great tip!
Thank you so much Jack. This is good advise/instruction on those starting out especially. Gear means nothing without skill set. 🙅🏻
Solid Intel… thanks for doing what you do!
Checking in from Missouri
Thank you for the training. Securing the flash light is a great idea. Some of my flashlights have a wrist strap that keeps you from dropping it. Some cheap flashlights have 3-4 modes so can't just on and off.
Thanks again Jack! Bit the bullet and bought some more stuff. FSD 🇺🇸
Always appreciate watching your videos brother
Thanks for your advice ! Have a safe and happy life ! 🙏
Great information, as always. Thanks for doing these.
Please make a chest rig/carrier that holds more than just three AR mags.
That is very helpful! This shows how the average person how to be prepared! Thank you!
Love these videos, great content. I wanted to add items for suggestion, a can of oc mace for urban(non lethal, dogs, etc) and for other load outs, the best roll of duck tape you can buy. (infinite possible uses, fixes, medical, etc, etc)
Jumping rope is also great for cardio (on a mat of some sort) w/o having an impact on the knees & other joints.
You can get used LE Glocks with night sights for under $400. Just look around.
