ok, so for my entire life i was changing every setting under the sun to try to match my colors. never did i try to change the paper type was going to have such an effect. you are either a genuis or a crazy person. this is amazing.
If I could give you 10 thumbs up I would. The settings are a bit different on my Mac, than what you went through, but it was enough help to get me printing things right and my colors are now vibrant! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

This was so helpful!!! I didn't know about the changing of the paper setting in the Cricut app. After playing around with it I found the correct setting for me. Since the presentation premium matte didn't work for my paper.

Hello, I have an Epson ecotank ET-5170. I work from home and when I print the pages are coming out like it's out of ink, but I haven't printed that much since adding the ink. I am not sure how to set it up properly. A lot of times when I try to print in color, it comes out blue. I looked on google and many people seem to have this issue. I did not see the screen pop up with the print set up and system dialog. I would really appreciate your help. 🙂
Ok so optimum setting is whatever type of paper you use ensure both printer and design space are the same regardless of you use matte or gloss? I have printed stickers only a couple of times and they were dull. So going to give it a go with ensuring both design space and printer both say gloss
You’re welcome. No if you’re using glossy paper , follow these exact steps but instead of matte make sure it’s on glossy on your computer AND on your printer settings 😊

Yes u will always need to make sure they match so you get the best image. If you use matte paper, make sure u choose matte. If you use glossy paper follow the steps but choose glossy on your printer and computer settings
I used these setting to print on htv print paper dark and i let it dry over night also, when water got on my shirt by accident in the morning, all the colors smudge!! PLEASE HELP. I used 309 temp to heat press
My color correction is on automatic and rotate 180 and mirror image are not clicked. high speed is clicked although it does not print fast. it prints slow when using the settings shown in the video

This is a pain in the ass printer. First, you have to use it via WiFi or purchase a printer cord for an additional $20. Then to have to add additional steps for the printer settings on the computer and on the device is a work stoppage and counterproductive. My old Epson was great... This is some bullshit...
Thank you for this video. I went crazy and tried this setting but my paper is glossy (koala 30lb - printer epson 2760) The print out turned out to be closer to the one I see on screen. Been using all the glossy setting and printouts came out darker. The presentation paper matte setting is the answer. Thanks a bunch!
If I only want to print on regular paper.. will HIgh Quality setting will be sufficient to get the right color and no stripes? It is strange how Epson set this up like this, most of the consumer doesnt want or doesn't understand to setup printer, mainly the color should come out right out of the box.

The only printers that can make the best quality on glossy paper is the Photo Printers as they come with dedicated black photo dye based ink, as all other ones have only color as dye and black as pigment, pigments never really dry on glossy paper and result in messy smudge

As a note, the printing instructions sent from the computer will always override the settings on the printer. Therefore it is not necessary to set up printing options on the printer. The printer will not print if you put a paper in the rear feed tray and you do not accept the new paper on the printer's screen. FYI
I would like to know how to save my paper settings on my Epson printer? I can set the type paper, but I ALWAYS get a warning that the printer and my computer requests do not match paper in the printer. My photoshop program doesn't have a choice for Premium Presentation so the closest I can get to is Photo Matte Paper...My epson does not let me save options. Please do a tutorial on setting up the Favorite Paper Settings (which I know how to do, but I can't access them easily) :(

As many other comments said YOU’RE A LIFE SAVEEEER. So so grateful for this you have no idea 😭 Because of this video I gave my printer another chance and it worked beautifully! I’m using my iPad and the same Epson printer to print my stickers so it was a struggle to find helpful videos. After a ton of cleanings I never thought it had to do with the printer settings. I just thought the printer dialogue in my iPad wasn’t good enough. Now I need to work with calibrating my cricut and I’ll finally have some good stickers to sell 😊
What about if I’m having issues printing my own creations but not images I’ve bought from another designer? I rarely get lines when I print stuff I buy but if I edit their stuff to make it smaller or I create my own images, even when I save on high res 300dpi and best quality on my PC, I still get lines when I print my stuff.
Every printer different. I have the ET16600 and for example, the tray #2, where is the 11x17 size adjustments, doesn’t accept the Premium Presentation Matte or the Presentation Matte paper, Epson didn’t add those options on this printer, so the only best paper option you have on that tray is the High Quality paper, so for sublimation in wide format papers you can’t use Premiun matter paper.
I am trying to do this on my laptop, when i go to preferences there is not nearly as many options. I have the exact same printer, did you download software or a driver for the printer, that includes these preferences? Im so confused why there is such limited options for me to change compared to what you have.

I just came across this video while trying to search for new printers cuz my old one is acting up with the white lines. I already tried cleaning the printer heads multiple times and changing the ink cartridges and those didn't work. I have a Canon Pixma but thought I'd give it a go with your suggestions here. I used plain printing paper so the option I had is to just stick to "Plain paper" and put the Standard to "High". And the white lines are gone! The colors also look more vibrant. Thank you so much!! Hopefully this will work too when I print on semi glossy or glossy paper!

Hello, what could be the reason that pixels appear when printing stickers with the inscription? Especially on the edges of the letters, the center is nice. best regards 😉
It appears she’s using a Windows based computer. If that’s the case then your print settings/preferences may not show up the same on a Mac. Printer manufacturers are still discriminating against Mac users to this day. I worked around this issue by first getting a cheap Windows laptop just for my printing needs and then when color accuracy became an issue on that I then got Parallels to run on all of my Macs in order to download Windows print drivers for Epson and Canon. I hope this helps because YT doesn’t have a satisfactory answer for the print preference issues Mac users face. Believe me I’ve gone down that rabbit hole at least 100 times😢

nvm found it. epson never mentioned about installing a driver on the pc nor even gave any info on it. I had to look it up myself and find it. now i have all the options like you do.

@@kerry-annhall9674 try the printing preferences settings. For me a new gray box popped up with a completely different UI once the installer was installed. Also possible something went wrong in the installation process and didn’t get all the files. Not sure what else. Not very tech savvy

Not sure exactly how many but ALOT I got the 2850 eco tank and I’ve printed a lot and the ink is still very full.

Because of this video I gave my printer another chance and it worked beautifully! I’m using my iPad and the same Epson printer to print my stickers so it was a struggle to find helpful videos. After a ton of cleanings I never thought it had to do with the printer settings. I just thought the printer dialogue in my iPad wasn’t good enough. Now I need to work with calibrating my cricut and I’ll finally have some good stickers to sell 😊
What about if I’m having issues printing my own creations but not images I’ve bought from another designer? I rarely get lines when I print stuff I buy but if I edit their stuff to make it smaller or I create my own images, even when I save on high res 300dpi and best quality on my PC, I still get lines when I print my stuff.
Every printer different. I have the ET16600 and for example, the tray #2, where is the 11x17 size adjustments, doesn’t accept the Premium Presentation Matte or the Presentation Matte paper, Epson didn’t add those options on this printer, so the only best paper option you have on that tray is the High Quality paper, so for sublimation in wide format papers you can’t use Premiun matter paper.
I am trying to do this on my laptop, when i go to preferences there is not nearly as many options.
I have the exact same printer, did you download software or a driver for the printer, that includes these preferences?
Im so confused why there is such limited options for me to change compared to what you have.

there are epson drivers that you have to download on the epson website in order to expand your printer settings.

I just came across this video while trying to search for new printers cuz my old one is acting up with the white lines. I already tried cleaning the printer heads multiple times and changing the ink cartridges and those didn't work. I have a Canon Pixma but thought I'd give it a go with your suggestions here. I used plain printing paper so the option I had is to just stick to "Plain paper" and put the Standard to "High". And the white lines are gone! The colors also look more vibrant. Thank you so much!! Hopefully this will work too when I print on semi glossy or glossy paper!

The only options on my Mac are: envelope, photo, photo glossy paper, photo high gloss paper, photo matte paper, photo semi-gloss paper, plain paper, coated paper, and letterhead. Which do I choose on my Mac?

I just tried doing this and when I change my paper size to 13x19 it doesnt give me as many paper options and takes away the one you suggested.
My printer settings (preference) are not showing any of that. It just shows regular print paper nothing about premium

It appears she’s using a Windows based computer. If that’s the case then your print settings/preferences may not show up the same on a Mac. Printer manufacturers are still discriminating against Mac users to this day. I worked around this issue by first getting a cheap Windows laptop just for my printing needs and then when color accuracy became an issue on that I then got Parallels to run on all of my Macs in order to download Windows print drivers for Epson and Canon. I hope this helps because YT doesn’t have a satisfactory answer for the print preference issues Mac users face. Believe me I’ve gone down that rabbit hole at least 100 times😢

how do you get so many paper types? mine only has like 4 and like half of them are glossy paper.
nvm found it. epson never mentioned about installing a driver on the pc nor even gave any info on it. I had to look it up myself and find it. now i have all the options like you do.

@@kerry-annhall9674 try the printing preferences settings. For me a new gray box popped up with a completely different UI once the installer was installed. Also possible something went wrong in the installation process and didn’t get all the files. Not sure what else. Not very tech savvy

Do you select premium presentation quality matte even for glossy paper? Do you recommend something different for glossy paper or should I always choose premium presentation paper matte?
Only for matte paper. If you use glossy paper I use the glossy setting
