- Final Boss Side Story Path To Life [ Maritus, Heir Of The Sea ]
"Maritus: sage, traitor, great man, sinner. His many identities are destined to be contradictory, but he only sees himself as a "sea progeny." The ocean originally belonged to Aegir until Maritus used it as nourishment to nurture life. The remnants of the deep blue thus became the offspring of the sea."

Ability :
- Does not attack and permanently invincible.
- Periodically summons 2 "Mononuclear Predators" or "Photic Predators" at current position.
First Phase
- "Guided Evolution": Periodically selects one of the sea monsters with the highest current HP on the field to evolve: greatly increasing attack and HP, with attacks causing additional nerve damage; when this monster is defeated, Maritus loses a certain proportion of HP.
Second Phase
- Loses a certain proportion of HP each time a sea monster is defeated.
- Periodically increases the attack power of all sea monsters (can stack).
- "Nurturing Life": For a period, continuously connects with all sea monsters, losing a certain proportion of max HP per second; during this time, all sea monsters that receive fatal damage will not die but instead fall into a sleep state, recovering a certain proportion of their max HP per second.
- "Humanity's Prison": Selects one of our operators, causing them to have "constant HP loss when not at full health" and "all skills automatically activated" effects for a period; when this operator retreats or defeated, the tile they were on and the surrounding four tiles become undeployable.

Off topic, but this guy seems have a little bit obsession with R6S squad
Ngl I thought you meant that the seaborne boss was suddenly yapping about the RS6 squad out of nowhere like it just unlocked a 3rd eye or something... omfg this boss is eyeball(ish) who can spawn trash mobs while in more or less invul it’s all coming together
R6S squad is fun tho
they're cool tho, i just wish they'd have more synergy outside of the base like AH squad

- Anticipate the Seaborn Maritus gonna link to, and plan ur moves wisely. If it's an elite, knock him down to 20% hp, so that ur laneholders will have easier time
- Upon reaching phase 2, Maritus combines multiple superpowers from is3: Applying *concentration + hemopoietic* debuff on targeted unit, and *Trader's temporal immortality* on trash mobs. He's not invincible, here's how to counter:
+ Pls don't use Mlynar - choose ur unit to be linked carefully! It's advised to bring someone durable with Offensive recovery. Don't let him die *at all cost* .
+ Don't get panic when Maritus use Immortality on seaborns, start ur dps skills to return his favor when he finish his skill
+ Killing seaborn and Maritus himself triggering Immortality are the only way damaging him.
+ Elite info unknown, amount of hp loss Maritus suffer unknown, to be continued......
Just obliterate it with Wisadel or dps it down. Litterally not even half as hardcore as you are making it up to be.

Edit: I'm still not 100% sure how the boss works so my english is possibly failing me, but since the boss has perma-invincibility, seems like the one strat possible (so far) is frd abuse for linking and a lot of aoe/cc. This part MIGHT be Wis'-able if she doesn't get yeeted by the link but i'm still curious as to how nicheknights will do this.

First, it's Burn (Red Circle), not Necrosis. (Deals 7000 ElemDamage immediately, Enemy RES -20 for 10sec).
Second, the Bright Tower on fully-charge will Slow enemies within big range and all player's unit inside the range will inflict BurnElem by any their attacks.

On the side note the new seaborn design's look adorable for some reason idk why.
So the boss greatly buffs an enemy that allows them to probably insta ko the op sent to block them. But defeating said buffed enemy is the only way to damage the boss.
The ops now can deal burn effect? Together with ifrit new module does it mean we will have burn ritualist soon?

Man...i have a bad feeling about this...an easy boss usually get much harder on ex stage...
I mean it easy because all the enemy move in 1 lane. The boss main skills are just a buff skill, it buff the selected enemy and if the buffed enemy killed the boss lose certain hp. Next phase he buff more enemy and select op with highest hp and constantly drain it hp. Op die from hp drain make 4 tiles undeployable. Now image fight buffed enemy on all 4 side map.
Edit: The boss also do sleep on selected enemy and heal them

Kinda has the same function as Mr. Cannot in IS4.
