Not much left but to strain it and run it. Look out for the orange 🍊 mash series coming up. I have access to literally as many free oranges as I want. Reminds me of the banana 🍌 mash series when I got 320 pounds of bananas for free. This one should be interesting. Stay tuned.👍🙄
Hi Mick, I’m a fan of yours and been learning a lot from you. I have an 8 gallon pot with a 3 inch column that I can use 4 bubble plates or not depending on what I’m looking for in product and I am jealous of your 26 😅. I’ll get there one day when I have the 💵 and would like to build my own electric heating scr . Questions have is about the cracked corn. I have used 1 50lb bag of the same brand you use but I grinded it up in my old ninja blender. Do you think that’s necessary or not for a good conversion of starches? I have another 100 lbs ready to make more and that’s why I ask if it’s worth it or not to fend up some more .
Absolutely it could be ground a little more. In fact I’m going to get a 3 roller mill at some point shortly. I wouldn’t grind it to a powder. But I will probably just crack it a little more. It hasn’t been a big deal for me because I use an exceptionally high amount of malted grains. Corn is only 50% of my mash so losing a little efficiency on my corn starch hasn’t been a huge issue. But I do want it a little more efficient so I plan on getting my own mill in the near future. I’ve just been grinding my malted grain at the brew store so I haven’t really needed one. But as soon as I get one I’ll be milling the corn a little finer for sure. Appreciate you brother. Best wishes.👍🥃
I really like how you explain what's going on. Will be following this run!
