Nice, exactly the review I was looking for... 1600 was my favorite. Picking up this or the Sony a5100 soon! Need something that shoots well in low light.
A5100 will be better in low light for sure, especially with a focal reducer (I got mine for just US$100). It ends up even better at low light than a Canon 5Dmk3!
How did you get so cheap!? I was about to pull the trigger on the a5100 and the sales lady thought she saw the a6000 in the back about to be put on the shelf for sale as a open box item, I picked it up for $499, $100 cheaper than the a5100!
Nice deal! The A6000 was also on sale body only recently for US$450 I find the A5100 to be a better camera to film with, except the EVF and a minor issue with overheating relative to the A6000
Well, I mean, what mode is the camera set in to change the ISO on video recording? When I try to change the settings and then record, ISO is always on Automatic.
Archivo Z You can change mode from P (Program = Auto) to other modes i.e Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority or Manual. Just press the Fn (Function) button and navigate in the relevant option.
Archivo Z In this particular example I had the camera in A (Aperture priority) but also in other modes (Manual and Shutter) you can change the ISO value BEFORE starting the recording (press the FN button and go to ISO). While you record video you cannot change the ISO value.
Kostas Panagias Archivo Z Kostas, maybe there was a firmware change or some other setting needs to be changed, but at least for myself (current firmware), only Manual allows the iso to stay at what it's set in video, even Aperture and Shutter priority have the iso switch to auto when I start the video.
Judging by the photos on Flickr with the Samsung, I'm kind of in a pickle here from choosing the Canon 1200D to the Samsung NX300. Money isnt the issue but all I'm worried about is whether that would the Samsung NX300 would give out any flare when taking pictures at night within the headlamps and passing cars and what not.
Γεια σας, θα ήθελα να ρωτήσω ανάμεσα στη Νικον D3200 και αυτήν ποια θα προτιμούσατε;Μέχρι τώρα είχα μόνο compact αλλά αγαπώ πολύ τη φωτογραφία και θα ήθελα να εξελιχθώ!Είμαι ανάμεσα σε αυτές τις δυο αλλά έχω μπερδευτεί!Θέλω να έχει πολύ καλή ποιότητα στις φωτογραφίες και τις βραδυνές!Μήπως θα μπορούσατε να με βοηθήσετε;
If you change mode from PAL to NTSC (American/Japanese System) you will get 60p. Beware though: if you watch those videos on a TV you may get weird motion; if you watch them on a computer you will most likely be ok. Still at 50 frames per second, motion should be quite "fluid" and jadder-free so it's ok to shoot at that framerate.
Thanks Kostas, i've checked that. But i got another two questions for you: 1) Do i understand right, that x0,5 slow recording mode is the same as 50p slowered up twice to 25p in Adobe Premiere? And when i place it in Premiere i can make 50p back? 2) My NX300 dont wanna change an ISO setting for video no matter what i do. Its always "auto". I can put 200 before in any mode, i turn on video rec and its always auto, i can put 800 and its auto. Damn!?
Jura Zaz I don't use Premiere, but I think that your are correct about that. About the auto iso, you're using the camera in Aperture Priority aren't you? I believe that you need to be in Manual for the video to use the iso you set.
Jura Zaz About Premiere you are right more or less... Maybe by using the software you get a little bit more control on the process (or you can use After Effects instead to control motion blur better for example). For manual ISO settings you need to change the Mode from "Program" to "Manual" (perhaps in other modes i.e. Aperture or Shutter Speed you can also change ISO).
The camera is in P Mode (Program Mode) by default. If you want to change it to other modes (Shutter, Aperture or Manual Mode) you need to press the function button (Fn) and change it from there.
izar masuri If the video becomes black then you need to change exposure either by lowering the shutter speed or opening the aperture (or both!). You can also select a higher ISO value (but with degradation in video quality). Moreover, if you want to have a preview of the exposure before recording video or taking pictures you will have to change the framing mode within the camera menu to "Off".
Lol still better than a lot of modern day cameras 😂
Cheers much 😊❤
Great comparison! Sony A 6000 series can take 1080p at 60p/50p also. why you didnt film above iSO 3200 ?
Bästa kameran nx serier
Hi I have a question, does it overheat when used a lot? There's a sony camera that even shuts down when it gets too hot...(Nex 5T)

Why my nx300 should be auto in video mode?
Could you tell us about the lens used and settings?
yes, could you tell us about the lens used and settings?
How do you change the ISO while recording video?
I don't! I stop, change ISO and start recording again...
Well, I mean, what mode is the camera set in to change the ISO on video recording? When I try to change the settings and then record, ISO is always on Automatic.

NX300 is a vastly better camera than the 1200D, and cheaper too right now!
I don't like the flickering of the lights and from iso 1600 the noise is noticeble
What lense
Which lens did u use?
If I remember right, that was the kit lens (18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 ED)
Thanks
im using the same Camera but cannot get enough light in clubs and bars.. need help

How can I do this ?
What do you mean? The test? Just shoot a short clip with the same aperture and shutter speed but different ISO Settings.

My NX300 shoots only 50p maximum. :-(((((
