Ecclesiastes for me means letting go of worrying about the future, the meaning of our individual lives and to be accepting that in the end- the impact we want to leave behind wouldn't really matter as it will quickly be forgotten. It doesn't take away living the present moment richly and deeply either. Its a book that is very much to the point and doing us a favour of saving us from wasting time over anguish, anxiety and troubling thoughts over what we are doing with our lives ans saying instead: just live your life richly, freely and deeply, with joy and contentment because famous or not - we will all end up the same. Forgotten on earth. It's actually quite a liberating book.
Meaning for me: if I just live my life for me, that's vanity. Joy is only in God through Jesus. And the more you know the more weight you'll have, the more you'll need to lean on God's understanding and not your own. Thank God for His Spirit that comforts and guides us.
“What is it that it wants to tell me?”.... that the only one who makes my life meaningful is God?
It means enjoy what you do have: the present moment. Live your now richly and deeply without worrying about the '5 year plan' or anything else that's in the future. Live richly and deeply...
Yes, amongst all the scriptures it points back to finding your meaning is something deeper - God!

I was listening to the audio Bible and in the background and Ecclesiastes was speaking and wow I suddenly started crying wondering what in the heck is that doing in the Bible. Then I realize the Jewish people didn't have a Great Commission to share the gospel like we do

this book shakes you to the core the greatest thing it teaches you is that even if you fail it doesn t matter there reason to get sad i m not sying we should not try of course we should try but it s this that matter the effort not if we succed or not by the way the earth is flat and stationaty the sun is moving like ecclesiastes says
