Awesome looking tank. My 125 had lots of plants like that, but after a year or so the goldfish pulled up everything but the Amazon swords and anubias that was attached to driftwood.
Less than a minute in and I hit the subscribe button. I currently have two baby Comets in a "latch key" 29 Gallon that looks like a toy compared to this tank. But I love seeing the creative process.
Super beautiful and judging by those plants it looks like you just put a small amount of aquarium soil for the plants themselves it's a great idea keeps the soil from getting too messy
Wow that's absolutely stunning and you know if you had some more plans like in the back to kind of go on the other side it would be great too that's a wonderful thing
You just directly placed the plants WITH their containers inside ? I thoguht i need to take the plants out feom the little containers and just insert the roots in the substrates?
They try to pull but not eat the leaves from all the plants, specially the Ambulla, but since the plants have rooted well (3 months) before I moved the goldfishes, plants doesn't go bare and is growing more leaves than those pulled out by the fishes
Yes, same plants in the desrciption box, it was only the Vallisneria which didn't survive. Everything else is more lush now, Ambulla is the fastest growing. I am uploading an update soon
Hi, i am using an LED light 6 inches above water surface, on automatic timer. Light is on 7 hours daily. It was trial and error for me at the start, with height, duration and brightness
Love the tank I’m getting a 500 litre tank custom made and going to put gold fish what plants do you think I should put and recommend because I’m putting gold fish like you would help if you replied
Oh wow that's a big tank! I want to see that when it's done. Based on my experience, Hygrophila, Rotala, Java Fern, Anubias and Moss (Java, Christmas or Peacock) are the hardy plants with Goldfish and are thriving well even during summer, when the Goldfish are very active and chasing each other. During colder months, I have no problem with the other plants like the Ambulla which has grown so lush.
@@FlameGourami Yeah I’ll post a video on my yt but it’s still in planning I’m figuring out the dimensions so I can summit it then I get the tank and then I’ll get ready for the fish with cycling and more
What is the update on this tank? Did the plants lived? Or how long before they melt? Lol. Just really curious. I cant make my plants live long. I dont use co2, so i am thinking maybe that's why
Did you find the plants in the description of this video survived the goldfish after some time? I'm looking for a good list that won't get eaten :) EDIT: Nevermind just seen all your other comment answers
Cant find it on amazon, hopefully our larger town 180 miles away will have it somewhere, I live in a small town without much access to quality aquarium supplies sadly
@@serenitydemello376 that's sad, but you know, you can also buy natural pebbles and rocks from landscaping supplies, and they are a lot cheaper! The rocks I used are landscaping rocks, that I washed thoroughly for a week.
So you only put the plant soil in pockets around the rocks? And then planted the plants in it? Do you use a gravel vac? And what size is your tank?? Thanks
Initially my plan is to plant on areas with aquasoil only, but the cuttings I just stick them into the gravel without soil and they are surviving. I use a gravel vacuum, it is actually part the next video I will upload this weekend. And finally my tank is 4ft width x 2ft height x 1.5ft depth
The zebra danios got jealous of the Goldfish and attacked them, glad the goldfish can defend themselves LOL! No, but there were 7 I was able to save and move into my nano tank, you can see that in my other video
They do, but because plants have rooted well before I added the goldfish, plants are growing faster than what the goldfish can pull, thanks to my LED light too, auto-on for 8hours a day
Hi, Ambulla seems to be leaner this summer but the rest are doing well, it's been 5 months with the Goldfishes now. You can check in my recent video ruclips.net/video/DH2OpP5NwpU/видео.html

Beautifully done aquascape, I am so tempted to do a planted setup on my 4ft tank
I’m glad you put a good amount of gravel so the beneficial bacteria could grow
Dirt and sand be much better

absolutely beautiful aquarium mate
Super beautiful and judging by those plants it looks like you just put a small amount of aquarium soil for the plants themselves it's a great idea keeps the soil from getting too messy
Yeah cause my experience with goldfish and aquasoil, they tried to nibble the aquasoil making the water murky
Nice setup and more place for them. 👌Great job. Mine are swimming in a pond, from April until October.
Great aquarium, lucky fish!
Great job!

So beautiful tank

What kind of fish are the small fish???
Hi, Nice simple setup with the gold fish, but the gold fish let go a lot poo , how do you manage it ? Please advice
Beautiful fish, what are you feeding them and how often? They grew really well , mines are growing very slowly ;(
Can you tell me what lights are these?
nice set up
Love it. Have you had trouble with the goldfish eating the plants at all?
They try to pull but not eat the leaves from all the plants, specially the Ambulla, but since the plants have rooted well (3 months) before I moved the goldfishes, plants doesn't go bare and is growing more leaves than those pulled out by the fishes
Nice setup 👍👍
What filtration do you have,as it's hard to see?
Curious did the plants survive? If so which plants, thanks!

Definitely try any kind of anubius nothing kills that plant
@@meggrotte4760 My turtle did a good job of destroying it before I rescued it from her tank!
Try adjusting your light. The height from the surface of the water, the timing, and the brightness. It will help producing new leaves each day
Can I put this goldfish in planted tank with other fishes
What is the tank size
I want to see how you’re doing your lights
Hi, i am using an LED light 6 inches above water surface, on automatic timer. Light is on 7 hours daily. It was trial and error for me at the start, with height, duration and brightness
My comets eat all plants. Even anubias. I bought for them a new tank with 240l, but still don't know what plants will survive with them😑
Dont they eat your floaters?

In this set-up do you still water change sometimes?
👍Excelente. Saludos desde Honduras.
Gracias!
Wow nice vid just subbed
Thanks, you have cool vids too, subbed to your channel, I started when I was young too.
Thanks a lot it means a lot

EDIT: Nevermind just seen all your other comment answers
No filter?
will try this setup did you find out why vallasnaria were dying please share your experience
kind regards ❤
I think it was because it can't handle the current of the water
Such unprecedented growth ?
Actually yes, I am happy with the result, didn't expect it to be this lush
Mayb carefully that the goldfish don't swallow the gravel,it has been known that they do
Also real question, what brand of small pebbles are those? They look very dull edged (which Is perfect) and I love the coloration!
You can see the brand in 0:36 of the video, I used 5 bags for my tank
Cant find it on amazon, hopefully our larger town 180 miles away will have it somewhere, I live in a small town without much access to quality aquarium supplies sadly

fan tail orange and oranda white
Please tell me the plant name which was floating
Frogbits - they grow so easily, you just need to raise the light by 20cm from the surface

How many gallons is the tank? A 4ft tank can be 55, 75, 90, or 120 gallons.
Not much, this is a 180 litres, about 50 gallons tank
amazing bravoooooo
Awesssoommeenessss!
What kind of filter that you used on this tank?
I am using a Canister Filter - Eheim Classic 250 on this
@@FlameGourami Thanks! Nice videos btw :D
@@FlameGourami Did you fertilize all of your plants?
Yes, I added root tabs on the first month and use liquid fertilizer seachem flourish weekly
Lmao is no one going to talk about the entire school of fish they seemingly ate? All for live foods but it was just so nonchalant 😂😂

Where did you get your goldfish btw they look awesome
Thanks, they are around 2.5 yrs now, I got them from a shop called PetBarn. I think the plants make them more healthy
@@FlameGourami ok thanks a lot I have a pet barn near me I know where to get them now
I want that kind of setup but my fishes they eat the leaves.
Hi, Which plants and fish do you have? I can suggest Java Fern, Anubias Hygrophila and Rotala, these are doing well with my goldfishes.
Do you have to wait until after 3months to put the Goldfish in?
Yes I want to make sure the plants have rooted well, but I think 1 month should be ok.
Thank you!
Nice 👍
Which light to use sir
Hi, I am using a 5 colour, 156 LED light I got online. It has 2 brightness modes, I use the low level brightness if I see signs of algae
What size is this tank?
It's 120 x 44 x 36cm
But everyone says ... gold fish eat plant .. so ???
They do but if you have fast growing plants they usually grow faster than fish can eat. Or go with anubia they completly avoid it in my tank
Aren’t goldfish eat plants?
I am surprised they didn't, but they tend to pull the plants. I'll upload an update with overgrown plants.
😍👍👍
Zebra fish were eaten by this two gold fish.
Those are chonky goldies
Don't the goldfish ravage your plants?
They do, but because plants have rooted well before I added the goldfish, plants are growing faster than what the goldfish can pull, thanks to my LED light too, auto-on for 8hours a day
goldfish "ARE" the co2 lmfao
LOL yes
@@FlameGourami they create so much waste idkyyyy
Cause they never stop eating LOL
Glad those aren't Comets, you'd have nothing but dead plants 5 months later.
My goldfish eat all plants
Hi, What type of goldfish and plants do you have? Mine doesn't eat but pull the leaves, but the plants are growing fast, so they don't go bare.
Nice set up but not for goldfish tank set up. Goldfish will eat and destroy all the plants that soft for them to eat.
