So glad these underrated songs get more spotlight on Live Vol. 2 🔥
totally agree my friend!
You opened the door for the instrumentals musicians to make electro music. Thanks for ur passion and ur intelligence!
Do they have more techno/house songs like this? I would love to listen more!
@@MachArs97 The whole Live Vol.2 will be like this
@@DiodeMcRoyGreat!!
I listened on the pop shop this morning. I’m wondering what people will think of this.
where that is?!
cool take on the song! Impressed on the mix - especially the vocals! Feels a bit strange listening to singles of what is essentially a 2hr DJ set, so I’m keen to hear it all in context :)
Same! Especially the 5 new tracks. I assume they’re instrumental outros or intros.
@@parcelsarchive they are.
I wasn’t sure about the new style at first, but now I realize how cool it would be to have a whole album of stuff like this. It has a different time and place than their other stuff, but it’s a fresh vibe, and I understand it more with every listen
I feel like it could have been a side project though, not the official “LV2”, for the fans who really enjoy that style of music.
@@parcelsarchiveagree💯. Loved the comparison of Parcels making a clubby style with Kevin Parker suddenly doing country Music in a hat surrounded with the horses😂
@@ИдаСеменова-ч1пhaha yes, if tame impala released a country album after a year absence from the public, complete with an entirely different aesthetic, is it still tame impala? On paper, yes. In hearts, no. A question to ponder for sure.
@@parcelsarchive on the other side I don't hear anything specific/characteristic of the Parcels style i.e. this song could be a child of any band unknown for me except Patrick's voice.
@@atidiaX It sounds like a completely different band than the people who released day/night or Parcels LP. I’m not an expert in dance music but i think this could be considered house or trance music? Those words were never used to describe parcels in the past 8 years. So to me, yes its a completely different genre of record they are releasing.
Who is still listening to this classic, before it has even premiered here?
I respect the effort, but the musicianship is what makes Parcels special. This sound just blends in with other forgettable EDM. I can also respect that artists are on a journey and this is where Parcels is at this point.
I really like Parcel's "dance-y" songs from their 1st album and Live Vol 1 ... but this doesn't seem like a song to me. Just a beat with a couple sprinkles of other elements. I quickly found myself fast-fowarding to the good part that never came.
Yes💯, this is faceless. It could be easily made by other musicians, nothing of specifically Parcels style. And yes, very poor in arrangement.
Ohhhhh MY GODDNEESSS This is wonderful ❤
As soon I listen the song, I noticed vibes from nigh vision and voyager from discovery album from daft punk. Great🎉
It came up randomly on my spotify recommendations and I thought it was a techno song but nooope for my surprise was Parcels.
Loved this style guys!
❤️❤️❤️ thank you Parcels. You’re all working incredibly well. Can’t wait to live vol2 to be realeased. Keep it up!
Not a fan of the edm style. I really want to like it but I just can’t. Doesn’t have the funk you guys do so well and the individual instrumentation gets lost in it all
Yes, I can't hear anything specifically Parcels-like except Patrick's voice. Being an instrumental track I wouldn't guess who made this.
I would love this in a game
amo este parcels
love!
❤always great❤
Love these Nite Versions (ref. Soulwax). When you opened in Amsterdam (2022) with a dance version of gamesofluck I was blown away. It shows great class when a band remakes/reinvents themselves and or their tracks for the occasion and get away with it. It shows great musicality and creativity and guts. Love it and love Parcels!
i love things you do so much ❤
The stank face i make when i listen to this 🥴
Güt❤
❤
You and us are in need of some live shit, lets do it again, this garage dj after party ain’t it
im here for thefear
I'm dizzy after that
This is so incredible
Parcels performing house music now !
Attendo che arrivi il nuovo album appena prenotato! (I'm waiting the arrive of this new album, preordered just now!)
come to brazil!
First!!
there is no doubt the aliens are here
3:52 Is this Alice Moitié ?
no seizure warning for you!
these are not "Parcels"
These are Pacers TM💯👌
Well, if I forget it's Parcels it's not that bad as a trance track. Probably 70/100.
I like this version more than edm loud bum bum one played in the US.
But the album variant was very characteristic, truly stood out of the row.
I thought it would be interesting to make something like Shadows live, a slow a capella or alike.
If I remember it's Parcels I miss variativity in arrangement, instruments, harmonies. It's very monotonous, self diving like if one's digging deep in his mind. At the same time it's not that intense to be titled TheFear while the edm was. That's not bad maybe, it sounds deep house.
The visuals are absolutely blurry, this is not a live video💯, more a clip, no musicians at all. I only remembered a blue face of one guy and a blue ass of another (in pants). Definitely your videographer has some ass adiction. Sorry, there were Patrick and Noah smoking for a second, not sure.
Listened on pop shop with early access. I think this kind of music has no personality, it seems like someone made a boring remix of the song. You guys made somethinggreater, iknowhowifeel, once and now... this?
Agree. But a think it's just a fase. Eventually, they will write great songs again. (I hope!)
agree :(
personally, I like "electronic" "dance" music, so happy with this version. The common thread between the funk/disco on guitar and live drums music Parcels predominantly do, and the electronic dance music version is the pulse/beating heart of the music. Both genres can be repetitive and induce transcendence from "getting lost in the groove". Sometimes the music being "stripped back" of personality in an electronic/club setting can help you lose yourself and become part of something greater. Though due to the vocals and lyrics, I would say its not completely devoid of personality (or maybe a better word is "emotion")
I'm typing while listening live now, and can see why you'd describe this as a "boring remix" - it hasn't yet "dropped"... Actually now it has just finished, and it definitely ended abruptly and is going to flow into the next song on the album. Or should I say, next piece on the soundtrack... This is much more like a soundtrack to a night in a club than a regular live band album. And hearing it in context of the full live set will probably make it better imho.
Personally I think most live albums aren't worth listening to as they sound less polished than studio record, but usually don't capture the live energy of a band.
Live Vol. 1 is an exception and is fantastic. (See also Talking Heads: Stop Making Sense)
I love that Live Vol 2. will also continue to spotlight a different side of the band.
A good thing about any fans who may not like it, is that, as a live album, it can be relatively easily compartmentalized as "not canon" and won't spoil any of the versions of the songs for fans that aren't so keen on electronic dance music :)
I wanted to comment but you nailed it, the Trance/House versions is something I can see me completely getting lost in at a club.
I also think that while live Vol1 was nice, it was essentially 80% the original songs, this on the other hand is nearly completely new and I feel like all the people who are upset should just acknowledge that more, whats the reason for a live album if the songs are mainly the same?
@@TimFerber do you mean each live album should be different style than the studio album one?? Sorry, sounds crazy a bit. Imagine Metallica making a clubby dance live album lol. I'm hyperbolic but...
I think Noah was bored to play the same bass line the whole set through. It's not the Hideout one at all.
I love this album, I love parcels and i think this concept is massive. But there is one thing this song ruins all arround. The hi-hat. For me here is extra high. Idk maybe it is me that i can’t hear the beauty behind this song just because i am obsessed with the tac tac, that for me should be lowered or mastered in another way. 😭😭😭 I want to listen to this but not the hi-hat😭
In my opinion call this live vol 2 its a crime, its really good, but live vol 2??????????
Yaaaasssssss💯💯💯💯
idk... I just want the Parcels back 😢
Yes! I loved hearing Thefear during your tour! Can’t wait to hear this rendition!
we are waiting you in Argentina 🇦🇷🇦🇷
Thanks 4 the masterpiece 💯🌪
No puedo esperar para que salga el álbum completo
JULES HENDRIX I saw you in INMIGRATION.(Nice music)
I like these versions, excited to hear the entire album!
Dance sounds are the best ❤
Maybe if it was a fresh new sound, maybe I would have like this song. But a whole new album which is just your old songs with a beat. Disappointed. I will stay on vol. 1 until its true heir (vol. 3) will be released, with real instruments magic and genius arrangements. I keep faith in you guys. ❤
this song takes you to a whole different dimension... excited to hear what they are releasing next! 🙌🏼
This is the music that takes you to a different place. Absolute gold, love you guys!!!
Fucking obsessed with the House sound of Live Vol. 2
Beautiful work with Sweet Vocals. Incredible atmosphere. Goosebumps.
