- This video goes through the new Level 10 Angel spells released in today's patch.
It's finally here! As promised we will start with the Lich Mythic Path. We will complete all side quests and dialogues. When I pick up special new weapons and items I will stop to show you stats, so you can decide if it would help in your own playthroughs. My main romance will be Camellia but I will also have romantic dialogue with Sosiel & Daeran. Until I get undead party members, my party will consist of Regill, Sosiel, Lann, Nenio, and Camellia. Questions, comments, and feedback are most welcome down below. If you enjoy the content please be sure to like, share, and subscribe to the channel!

In WOTR the realm of Sarkoris was destroyed when Areelu Vorlesh opened a rift to the abyssal planes of existence, and hordes of demons invaded the world of Golarion. Led by the evil Demon Lords Deskari, Baphomet, and Nocticula, the abyssal forces crushed all who stood against them, turning Sarkoris into a demon‑infested land now known as the Worldwound. Join the Crusade against the demonic invasion and rise as a new hero wielding unimaginable powers in this classic CRPG. The fate of this world lies in your hands.
Pathfinder has dozens of classes and subclasses with thousands of abilities, feats, spells, talents, and buffs to choose from. The spell listing allows you to choose from Evocation (Damage Dealing), Enchantment (Crowd Control), Necromancy (Undead), Abjuration (Buffs), Illusion (Crowd Control), Divination (Buffs/Disruptor), and Conjuration (Summoning). This is combined with an insane amount of class/subclass options including Alchemist, Arcanist, Barbarian, Bard, Bloodrager, Cavalier, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Hunter, Inquisitor, Kineticist, Magus, Monk, Oracle, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Shaman, Skald, Slayer, Sorcerer, Warpriest, Witch, and Wizard! It is Owlcat's goal to give each of these classes at least 5 subclasses each!
Choose your Mythic Path and embody an Angel, Demon, merciless Lich, wily Trickster, superhero Azata, law incarnate Aeon, truly evil Swarm, merciful Gold Dragon, or forgo all of them to stand alone as a Legend. Each path will allow you to improve your hero in unique ways, adding a new layer to character development and making your hero and their allies a true match for their powerful enemies.
There are more than a dozen potential party members in the game including Camellia (Half-Elf/Spirit Hunter), Seelah (Human/Paladin), Lann (Mongrel/Zen Archer), Ember (Elf/Stigmatized Witch), Arueshalae (Succubus/Espionage Expert), Woljif (Tiefling/Eldritch Scoundrel), Daeran (Aasimar/Oracle), Sosiel (Human/Cleric), Regil (Gnome/Hellknight), Wenduag (Mongrel/Fighter), Nenio (Kitsune/Scroll Savant), Greybor (Dwarf/Slayer). All of these companions have their own backgrounds, alignments, and motivations. All of them are fully voice acted with unique character models. There are even more followers that are locked behind specific story/mythic quest options!

Avenger's Blessing gives:
1. Divine Power (+1 Luck on Att, Dmg, & Strength-based checks per 3 caster levels, so +6 if cast with Army of Heaven)
2. Holy Aura (+4 Deflection to AC & +4 Resistance to Saves against Evil creatures)
3. Greater Heroism (+4 Morale to Att, Skill Checks, CMB, etc)
Wish the video did the work to say that, why not cover all the bases ! Love the content anyways
I did the video during a work break and honestly didn't have the time. 😂
For tabletop, true res also doesnt need a body to work, so you can raise characters who have been disintegrated.
I saw that but didn't feel like it applied to the video game. Even if the body is crisp you can just click on the character portrait right?
@@SlanderedGaming I'm actually not sure, I haven't had someone die that way yet. I'm guessing you're right since it would be too situational to bother translating to video game format.
Also in the Table Top True Resurrection is the only spell that can bring you back even if you don't have a body anymore. Say you got disintegrated by someone or if you fall into a pit of lava and your body is utterly annihilated. Resurrection requires there to be part of a body left. Raise dead and lower requires a mostly intact corpse. Those are the basic restrictions.
Right I read that but it doesn't matter for the video game right? I think even if you die from disintegration somebody can raise you with Raise Dead.
It's the eye of the sun it's the thrill of the fight
Standing up to the challenge of the demons
And the last mythic angel
Stalks his prey into flight
And he's watching us all with the eye of the sun
The eye of the sun
The eye of the sun!
😂😂
Thx. My seconds playthrough was an angel build (the one you've provided here! 😘) There really was no need to lvl 10 spells, as I already was a walking god.
LOL Yeah Angel was pretty amazing.
Imagine picking an angel merged spell book and have to prepare just 2 spell at lvl 10.
LOL Yeah it's pretty rough.
Here's the level 10 spells!
Enjoy them for the next 10 minutes!
Me: *facepalm* Gee, thanks I guess...
What a letdown...
😂 I feel confident it's a bug and they will fix it.
These will be used a whole lot more when the post game DLC drops and gives us a true Act 6/7
If the post game dlc is about current adventure, and not a slightly connected oneshot
Hell, even act 5 doesn't feel like it's "true"
@@abelincoln1866 There is one post campaign DLC with the Commander promised.
Yeah definitely looking forward to what post game DLC will look like.
In the books they go to Blackburgh (Baphomet's City). I was so confused we never went there
Oh god damn, now I'm super curious on what the damn level 10 spells are for Lich for those spells are pretty strong.
Same. Looks like I'll be sneaking to the restroom to check the WOTR discord to see if anyone knows about the lich spells.
OK I checked with cheats, if you're wondering what the lvl 10 Lich spells are:
1. Beefed up Power Word Kill with no HP limit, only a Will save. If they succeed the save, they still take 10 damage per level. Holy shit.
2. Permanent duration empowered Repurpose
3. a new Pit spell with a colossal fucking centipede in the middle holy shit what the fuck this is sick
@@supermonstars Just three? What about damage/effects stuff of 3rd?
@@supermonstars What are the spells called?
HOLY SHIT Those spells are wicked!
Nice playing as an Angel Oracle atm.. maybe it will be fixed by the time I hit end game.
Yup playing a Lich right now and hoping for the same thing.
Are the visuals of the spells pretty good?
Since it was right at the end of the game honestly I didn't play around with the visuals at all.
The 10th level spells not being in merged spellbooks is indeed a bug. Sadly, them only being available at MR10 is not. Even when they fix merged spellbooks, you will still only get 10th level spells at MR10. Looks like we're only really going to get to use these spells when the first (post-game) DLC is released.
WICKETY WACK.
You only need CL 28 now.
@@greggreg2458 Yep. They fixed it shortly after this video came out.
@@leonkillsashley9475 And with the treasure of the midnight isles DLC i think you can get level 20 by the start of act 5, i'm midway to level 20 and i'm on the third island of the second set. (Just started act 5) I hope by the end of the DLC i will be able to reach lvl 20.
@@greggreg2458 I was able to get CL28 when I hit MR8 (or very close to it) before any DLC released. That's the hard limit for CL28 though. Can't get 10th level spells any earlier. Which isn't so bad..
Too bad they won't add Reincarnate into the game, thats the other Resurrection spell that doesn't require a body. There is no body requirement because you come back in a brand new body... as a randomly generated race. You maintain most of the abilities scores you had before, and all of your mental stats stay the same, but you could come back a Kobold, like what happened to a certain gnome in Kingmaker.
Oh wow that is awesome!
Rekindle must have been what Anduin was casting in that BfA trailer :p
LOL
Hey man! LOVE the vids! So... Perhaps you can help me out. I have gone 8 lvls in angel and decided tô switch to Gold dragon tô have some Fun. Thing is since then ALL the fights i start enemies start fleeing like Crazy. And slows my progression idk if It os a bug. Idk If that mask in nenios puzzle pyramid does aoe fear idk... Have you experienced this?
Hmmmmm no but I never took the Gold Dragon into combat. I would say take the mask off and wear something else on your head. See if that fixes the issue. Shaking enemies is very useful but Frightening them is an acquired taste since they end up running around the map.
@@SlanderedGaming I just figured out. Its a +6 Undead cloak. I Guess It os not working properly because no mobs even the ones with +29 Will saves resist. DC is 33.
These spells are problem meant to be played in the post-story campaing they will be releasing in the season pass.
Are you sure that DLC is supposed to be post-story? The only one I have heard about is playing as Kenabres citizens impacted by the assault and then something about a Mythical being asking for help. Nothing that seems to continue the story past the end.
@@SlanderedGaming Well the description of the DLC is the following:
''New additional campaign. Import your character from the main campaign to the moment of their greatest triumph - their victory over the Worldwound. Answer a plea from a powerful entity and leave Golarion behind to defend the space-time continuum against imminent collapse. Use your unparalleled mythic powers to do battle with truly invincible opponents. This additional campaign offers 7-8 hours of gameplay.''
@@brenoborges5508 Fascinating okay thank you.
@@SlanderedGaming The community manager or some such also confirmed as much on the reddit post for this update.
@@brenoborges5508 Okay, SPOILER AHEAD
Since we have a portrait and a voice of Pharasma, I guess it's her plea
got a question here, Im at the final chapter of my first playthrough as an azata and decided for my next I would be lich bc I figured out halfway through I dont like the azata path, is there a certain build that would allow me to melee as a lich efficiently?
Lich has multiple powers and spells that are specifically meant for melee combat. No special build required. Pick whatever melee class works for your playstyle. Magus might be interesting since you can take spells to make you tankier and Lich powers to increase your spell damage.
@@SlanderedGaming thank you!
Samori I was wondering if Angel suits better for a battle oracle melee or just an oracle ranged spellcaster. Since after the merge you will not do any melee anyway with those super spells
I mean it depends? Bot can work alright, I've seen unfair viable melee battle oracle build on neoseeker, and if it works on unfair...
My personal opinion is to play whatever you like more, difficulty is adjustable anyway, and to be able to play on higher difficulty you have to be somewhat into bdsm
both actually my oracle is a killing machine both ways once you have caster lv 25 you can make all yours buff that normally last 1 round per lv last 24h....
@@ricardocintra5970 I was wondering if it was better to focus on offensive spells and personal buffs and leave party buffs for daeran
@@arissp4950 well offensive spells are totally useless,, this because some idiots that made the game fail to see that making caster at lv 10 face enemies with spell resistance 30 plus its quite retarded and kills 90% caster builds, with angel merged book you will get the only offensive spell that matters bolt of justice and storm of justice they ignore spell resistance and are not lv capped for dice damage so at caster lv 30 you will deal 30d6 damage of holy damage
Angel is great and versatile so that is a question for your personal playstyle. Me personally I played as a ranged Cleric Eccle ranged spell caster. This allowed me to bomb enemies and give amazing buffs to the whole party. I could've easily went the Cleric Crusader route at melee ranged and decimated enemies in a different way. Do what feels good to you.
Are there any 10th level casters or spells in the table top version... Did they just pull these spells out of thin air...
Are there yes, are these some
Not really. 10th level spells tend to be high magic impossible for one mage or out right banned by gods (granted that may just be dnd)
@@reedk2402 In D&D Lore 10th Level and above spells used to exist in 2nd Ed (at least in Faerun). Then a certain Archmage tried using a 12th level spell to steal the divinity and power of the goddess magic which caused a massive catastrophe that nearly destroyed. After that the gods changed the rules of magic so that spells above 9th level are no longer possible.
That was the lore used to explain the differences between the 2nd and 3rd editions of D&D.
Seems like they exist but we still should not be able to use them.
You could use the toybox mod to get a level 20 lich and see the new spells
I could I just am terrified of introducing more bugs and inadvertently breaking my game.
Is it possible to see it the spells visually?
That would be difficult to do for reviving and attack spells since this is 10 minutes before the game ends. I don't want to spoil things for anybody.
So a question, if you get angel wings and already have aasimar wings, do you get like four wings and does it look weird?
Hmmm not sure I'll test that out next time I respec.
Yes and it looks quite weird, you have baby white wings and the big yellow ones from angel
Go for broke, mutation fighter asimar angel. Feral wings, asimar wings, and angel wings.
@@reedk2402 can you add dragon wings there too from red dragon? hah
@@SlanderedGaming I'm playing a Druid Angel and with Aasimar wings, my kitty form has wings but I can't imagine having Aasimar wings and Angel wings on a cat!
Im so mad that i completed the game as an angel, i didnt unlock this ones because a bug
Yeah me too. It almost makes me want to do another Angel run.
@@SlanderedGaming this is the kind of this that irks me most. quest not starting so no one knows they are even in the game. items not droping. spells not being added to your book. it's mind blowing honestly.
@@awesome27677 Yeah as someone who already sunk 70 hours into an Angel playthrough this is kind of rough to see.
@@SlanderedGaming Good thing about it, is that it will make another Angel run ( on a different build and after the game is fixed, hopefully ) differ from the first one. Always look at the bright side of life... ;)
@@SlanderedGaming i have all 6 paths up to act 4 at least and let me tell you its so awful on certain paths aeon and azata have so much buggyness
Is the bug fixed in EE ?
Yup should be all good!
Does Greater Enduring Spells work on these?
It works on the buffs but not on the powers that revive or affect enemies.
Still can't access my level 9 merged oracle angel spellbook. Nice they're releasing these spells for the final 10 minutes of the game but *big shrug*
edit: user ignorance. nothing was wrong with the oracle merged book.
Oracle isn't merging properly?
@@SlanderedGaming actually it was totally my fault. newish to learning the pathfinder system and i didn't know there was a charisma threshold to be able to cast 9th level spells. I was 1 point shy of being able to use the spells without issue.
why not show the spells ? Why do you need to make another video ?
The only fight left is against Areelu. It would be difficult to show those spells without spoiling the game.
Here’s the thing. I wonder if not getting them with combined books is as intended.
as a reward for not choosing to combine and get easy progression and god like caster levels
It can't be a reward for them because you don't get it until 10 minutes before the game ends. Plus that final fight is not so crazy difficult the the extra power would really be a boon for you. Finally who is camping in Threshold? You would need to camp to actually get those extra powers. Most people playing that game will probably just want to power through to the end.
Added 10th level spells to 2 mythic paths, the 2 paths that use spell book merging mechanic. And they don't work with merged spellbook! LOL can't believe actual human devs spent real time on this. You can hire random people from fiver and they will do better work more efficiently.
Untrue. Why do you shit on the devs?
@@20storiesunder Because they created a buggy and unfinished game. Some skills, feats and abilities literally have blank placeholder descriptions as of launch. Some subclasses don't even work as intended. Some companions are bugged. This is not even those early access shenanegans. This game is actually launched.
@@AB-yu5pw Indeed, but in the flipside a small team managed to make a massive CRPG that while it has rough spots is overall a great game.
And you're compering them to amauters on fiver, like please. No idea of what game development entails.
I concur there is cause for frustration since this game has way more bugs at launch than it should. That being said the game is incredibly deep and has a ton of roleplay value. A group of Fiver Devs would not have been able to create something equal to this.
@@SlanderedGaming Oh absolutely, I think Wotr is a technical achievement. It is extremely vast and quite deep!
I think it was inevitable that an element would end up being a bit shallow considering the scope and I really think that's the crusade army system. It really feels like there was an idea but they ran out of time.
