excellent tasty recipe, the opening of a new chapter in cooking story, these flapjacks looks so delicious, prepare by a professional's hand, ideal to eat in a social meeting alongside family and friends in a sunny day in a harbor, !YUMMY¡.
Ad brown sugar and golden syrup. Golden Syrup is made out of cooked sugar and water. Well now, how about I add only Brown sugar or only golden syrup it seems to save me some time. :) Why do people say it's the same as Pancakes, it has no milk, no egs, no flower. It's like saying a Cookie and a Brownie are the same thing.
Everywhere else a flapjack is flat(ish) sweet crunch biscuity snack - as shown in the recipe. These are flapjacks - just as ‘biscuits’ in the US are our scones.
@Lucy Brookes You and the 7 people who liked your comment clearly don’t like to learn anything about the world - I was just passing on friendly information - I didn’t say anything nasty - your comment “nobody asked” has a nasty spirit behind it though
Have just made these to the first recipe adding chopped nuts. I lined a 30 x 20 cm tin and baked in the oven for 40 mins at 130 fan. Sadly they came out dry and most of the flapjack just crumbled and did not bind. Any ideas why it failed?
Did you say You baked it at 130 fahrenheit??? It should be baked at 130 degree CELCIUS, which equals to 266 FAHRENHEIT. Pls check the baking temperature!
Butter is 100pc natural therefore one of the healthiest fats on Earth. Go ahead and use veg oil or margarine if you prefer industrial chemical alternatives that encourage metabolic syndrome!
Hey no it's not that difficult I'm 13 and have been baking a LOT during quarantine I tried this and it's not that difficult give it a go you never know it might be great!
@@randomPerson-hi8xd I’m a big fruity. But, there must be enough knowledge out there to share a recipe that substitutes some whole food for the butter and the fat, ie flax eggs, bananas, or silken Tofu. Otherwise, vegans suffer diabetes, high cholesterol, and cardiovascular disease like everyone else whilst maintaining healthy ethics.
My love for flapjacks cannot be duplicated or replaced! 😂
Saving this for a rainy day, cheers from oz
I love flapjacks! Thanks for the recipe and variations.
me too, they are flavoursome.
I have just made them, they came out a little browner than expected but they are still good
I think they bake them for way too long 40 to 45 minutes is overkill I bet if you took them out around 30 minutes it would be perfect

Agree!
Tried this and it was lovely.
Thanks - well made video and practically informative :)
Thankyou looks delicious 👍🏻
Wow so much bowls for such a simple task 😂
I used to make an Anzac slice. The only difference is bicarbonate of soda is added to the melted ingredients.
Do you grease the topside of the parchment paper (where the mixtures goes) or grease the tin underneath the paper? Thanks
It's been a year have u found the answer yet 😂
I dont grease the paper..
Most people don’t grease but if you want to put a bit of butter under the paper to stop it sticking to the tin
What size is the tin?

Relax! you’re gonna have an aneurysm
Awesome thanks 🤗👌🤩
Lovely recipe.
I don't know why you would use the babestation background music for a cooking video.
Vary nice make my own all the time ❤️

Who's eating flapjacks while watching🤤
Oooh😋 thanks
Nice. Very nice 👍🏼
Different measures than on the other BBC Good Food recipe??
In America and Canada a flap Jack is thick, fluffy pancake eaten with maple syrup and butter
nobody asked
Cool story

Can I use Molasses? I dont have golden syrup in the US
A Shambolic Enthusiast honey is also a substitute
Honey too

Try a shorter cooking time

say you wanted to make this in a healthier way, could you substitute the butter with something else?

Can I ask what does everyone use to measure how many grams? I know it’s a silly question but what do I need to buy so I can measure in grams?
Just a digital scale is what I use. Pretty cheap and useful.
Very yummyyyyy👍👍💛
YUMMY
Great video - until the music kicked in - distracting and annoying. I prefer a non-music video.
Half of the ingredients are left in the bowls
I’ve used golden syrup oats so I don’t need to add golden syrup
How was it?
Rummanah Laly it was good but it may be a little hard to cut in to squares so I just broke it up with my hands
@@hellohumans2419 thank u! I've made them they were great and yeah I did have to use my hands a bit lol
Why do my flapjacks not set?
good flapjacks, dead trim.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂
she looks adorable :(
👨🍳
so there is no reason to buy it at a cost 20 X more.
Followed everything and came out uncooked and crumpled didn't hold together at all
You do of course realise that some of us cook by gas yet no mention of what number to cook on
Irritating but just google it.
This is the Anzac biscuit recipe, just in a slice tin instead of shaped into biscuits on a tray :P.
Similar; but Anzac biscuots have flour and desiccated coconut too.
OMG SIDON IS THAT YOU
looks delish but i cant even cook at that ability
Hey no it's not that difficult I'm 13 and have been baking a LOT during quarantine I tried this and it's not that difficult give it a go you never know it might be great!
I cant even cook sausages so there is no way i can cook that. when i tried to cook them my oven started beeping wierdly
baking is much easier than cooking, its similar but the skills are not really comparable
So, sugar and fat. Healthy version?
Fruits

Did you not watch the second half of the vid?
@@martinamakek9608 Just did. So, again, butter and maple syrup, not needed, nor are they healthy. But, definitely a step in the right direction.
tosser
So... a granola bar?
To sassy booo
