Thank you for this I was able to see what I've been doing wrong the last few years, mine are always knocked over on the really windy days, this was a very helpful video.
I'm glad it helped. Those windy days are definitely a test for those inflatables. Thanks for watching. Don't forget to like, share, subscribe ,and follow. You know the routine.
Thank you so much! This was most useful video I've seen on how to keep inflatables from flopping around. I think you've just saved me a lot of my usual grief. 👏
Thanks for watching. I use extra rope, or double over what they give me since they are so long. Don't forget to like, share, subscribe, and follow. You know the routine!
What I've done is put a cinder block behind each inflatable, and attach a 2x4 about 75% of the height of the inflatable to the block with zip ties). Use the tie down loops and a different nylon thread to attach the inflatable to the 2x4. When uninflated, it will still be without air, but somewhat uprights. THis will help it inflate perfectly every time. It will also do well in windy situations.
Thanks for watching. I could see that helping. I do prefer mine to lay flat during the day though. I'm thinking about doing a tent stake review to see which might be best to replace the ones that come with the inflatables. Would that be something you would watch? Don't forget to like, share, subscribe, and follow. You know the routine!
We have artificial grass so no stakes can be used. To fix our problem, we unsip the inflatable and simply put a brick or small rock in the bottom. Zip back up, inflate, problem solved. For larger inflatables we use that technique or put a large piece of wood on the ground and tie to it.
That's a good idea. How heavy do you think the weight actually is? Thanks for watching. Don't forget to like, share, subscribe, and follow. You know the routine!
I hope it helps. I'm about to go set mine up again this year. Thanks for watching. Don't forget to like, share, subscribe, and follow. You know the routine.
Going to try this. I ordered extra strings off amazon. Our biggeat issue is with our longer inflatables, like Grinch with Max or snoopy and woodstock - they teeter over at their heads..
I've never tied down the longer ones, but my AT-AT does have two bases. Make sure the bases are steaked down, and tied down, and you should be ok. Thanks for watching. Don't forget to like, share, subscribe, and follow. You know the routine!
Sorry for the late response. I would use the yellow tent stakes and have the strings out as far as possible. Make sure the base is staked down well too! Thanks for watching. Don't forget to like, share, subscribe, and follow. You know the routine.
You are right about not being able to control the inflatables with 2 tethers. Sometimes they are long enough to double them over, which is what I do when needed. Thanks for watching. Don't forget to like, share, subscribe, and follow. You know the routine!
Thanks for watching! I'm really glad this video helped. I have other inflatable unboxing up on the channel as well. Don't forget to like, share, subscribe, and follow. You know the routine.

My God! A Million thanks to you for posting this video. I painstakingly watched 5 other videos that were horrible, before finding this one. The other ones just said to blow it up, take the 4 stakes that comes with the inflatable and stick them in the ground, facing it in whatever direction you want. And I'm over here thinking, "yeah, no shit. I'm aware of what the premise behind them is. Now how about you show me how to do it since I've never EVER used an inflatable before. (Except that one time in college. But that was a different type of inflatable, and for different... Learning type reasons lmao). I'm glad your video not only gave a very well detailed walkthrough on each step, but you actually showed what to do while saying it. I've never used these before, but, I saw a Christmas cow that was too damn funny not to buy, so for the first time in my life of 40 years, I bought an inflatable. The instructions read like stereo instructions from the 1980's, so I was cowfused. But thankfully I found your video and within 5 minutes, I had it safely and securely in the ground. Thank you so much, brother! And I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving, and a very Wonderful Merry Christmas!
@@TheDadofAllTrades I just gave you a like and a subscription and a follow. Unfortunately I don't have anywhere to share you to. I don't have any social media accounts. I don't use Facebook, Myspace, Tweeter, SnatchChat (or whatever they're called. Because I honestly don't even know what they are called), or any of them. If I did, I'd share your videos for sure.
I use one. Just remember that the shorter the cord, and the bigger the gage, the better. Thanks for watching. Don't forget to like, share, subscribe, and follow. You know the routine.
Thanks for watching! I dont know exactly how long you can leave them on. You should look at any paperwork that comes with them. I like using the timer I showed, and turning them off during the day. Thanks for liking, sharing, and subscribing! You know the routine.
I will try this method on mine, but I did notice that you didn’t stake the bottoms of the inflatables they usually have tow eyelets for stakes. Are they not need using the triangle method?
Thanks for watching, and that's awesome that you noticed it. Honestly at the time I didn't really see the bottom loops, so I didn't use them. It definitely won't hurt to use them also, but on the short inflatables it isn't totally necessary. The larger ones definitely need to be staked down everywhere possible. Don't forget to like, share, subscribe, and follow. You know the routine!
Thanks for watching. Are the stakes the little ones that come with them? My Starwars AT AT keeps pulling its little leg stakes also. I think I'm going to have to upgrade the stakes. You may need to also. I might do some kind of Walmart/ Amazon stake review. Is that something you think you might watch? Also do you have your strings pulled tight? Don't forget to like, share, subscribe, and follow. You know the routine!

I can see that happening. Make sure you have the steaks out far from the inflatables. The more it pulls sideways the better. Pulling straight up doesn't take much to pull them out. Don't forget to like, share, subscribe, and follow. You know the routine.
Thanks for watching. Did you inflate him first, then tie him down with at least three strings in triangular shape in the position you want? Because after that he should be good. Don't forget to like, share, subscribe, and follow. You know the routine!
Hey thanks for watching! I'm pretty sure that as long as you use three points of contact with the ground in triangularshape, and have the strings pulled kinda when fully inflated, then it should stand back up when reinflated. I hope this helps, and please let me know how it turns out. Don't forget to like, share, subscribe, and follow. You know the routine!
@@TheDadofAllTrades ran out of string but realized the candy cane has four separate loops for strings. I already have one staked string on each side plus the two stakes on the bottom. I’ll be trying out adding the other two tomorrow.
I’m still having difficulty with this candy cane. I have one string on each side plus one of the back; also have the bottom loops staked. The wind is ferocious this year. Lol
