Brilliant podcast, however I did feel very uncomfortable during the conversation about Leclerc's father. It has only been a year and a half since it happened and knowing how young he is, I just feel like it was kind of inappropriate to ask what he misses the most about his father. He is mentally strong, but this can agitate these memories. I dont mind these conversations usually as this is the part of their careers and lives but this dragged on for a very long time
I found it more inappropriate that Tom decided to ask him to how close JB17 was to Ferrari- the fact is we will never truly know how close Jules was to a Ferrari seat. The only person that truly knows/knew the answer to that is no longer here.
100% agreed. That kind of question can be very unsettling even for the most seasoned pro. What was he hoping to get out of it? A breakdown? It's even understandable that it was because they both had lost their fathers with in a short span of time, but he could've asked him off the record. Putting that on blast was not at all ncessary imo. Nevertheless, Leclerc also handled that, and the even more personal follow-up question with impressive poise.

It is difficult to describe, but he is surrounded by extreme attributes like greatness and bitter sadness, while his mind and personality is level-headed somewhere in the middle of these extremes, coping and dealing brilliantly with these.
