Dear Vlad, this is my first time comment to you. I feel you are missing something important about Musk (and Theil) it's the White South African mindset. Just as you need to look at the Russian/Soviet mindset when discussing Putin and his motivators, you'll need to dig in to the white Zimbabwean and South African background and motivators for example cold war, bush war, sanctions & diaspora to name a few.
Maybe you could tell us briefly what that mindset is (for those of us that don't know South African culture). I'd like to know more about why Musk is so amoral.
Musk has acknowledged that he is on the spectrum. So I presume he is smart enough to know his ability to read things like body language and interpret tonal changes in speech are not his strong point.
@@catinthehat906then he ought to be smart enough to know when to STFU, yet he doesn't. If you're not autistic yourself, don't presume to know how we work.
Don't forget he's also a huge narcissist, orbiting around a bigger, more pure narcissist. He's richer and arguably more powerful than Trump, but I think Donald sees himself as the superior man - a recipe for unbridled chaos!
As someone married to someone on the Autism Spectrum, I think a lot of people underestimate the sheer energy required to be masking continually. It’s incredibly fatiguing. Unlike prior to his entry into the Public Space on this level, he would have had sufficient opportunities to “take the mask off” so to speak and feel more natural with himself. Being involved with Trump at this level though will probably require a continuous amount of masking which eventually will cause cracks to appear. You can only keep it up for so long. I’ve seen how this level of Social Fatigue can impact people with Autism first hand. When things aren’t going well at work, my wife will stress, go off the rails a little and need to completely decompress in order to come back to a baseline. I suspect there will be similar challenges Musk will face when it comes to Trump, especially after prolonged interactions with Government business, and I think that will be the source of tension between him and Trump more than anything else. It won’t be policy that cracks, but Trump’s inability to relate to someone neurodivergent when they’re having a moment of weakness.
It won't just be Trump. Add Ramaswamy and then MTG to the mix when you talk about "prolonged interactions" that Musk will need to navigate. There will be quite a few cooks in the kitchen.

While I don't doubt that there is big potential of dissonance, there could also be enmeshment considering they are not the same kind of narcissists (like e.g. in a somatic vs. intellectual distinction). If they get a big win at the beginning, they might consider them self more or less as parts of each other, in a screwed up perspective of externalisation (and personification projection). Musk strikes me as someone who is very intelligent and posses a great deal of knowledge, but lacks any emotional intelligence whatsoever. Whereas Trump knows how to give an audience what it wants, Musk struggles to understand what the audience wants. Vlad I love that you're referring to Mr. Scaramucci as the mooch, and it's great to see you sitting in the chair. Be well!
Not really, or he wouldn't be able to be so manipulative of his audience, that is almost cult like. Both he and Trump objectify others. Others are merely a means to an end, and both understand their impulses and desires, and how to exploit them. But at tge same time, they could only gain traction because Nature abhors a vacuum. The technocratic, managerial politicians left that gap open, by taking their legitimacy for granted, and in a sense failing to fill that human need to be seen in the electorate. So chaos is a ladder, which doesn't mean that those who climb it will sit at it's top. Especially as the chaos is very real, as it's a consequence of our espoused political values bring such in name only too often to stomach. I personally cannot name one populist government that successfully avoided being coopted by preexisting power stuctures. Why? Because those institutions know how to get things done, and working with them is something that one has to go through, and not around.
This is something that will be very familiar to people who have geniuses in their family. I have no hesitation in calling Musk a genius, as far as his understanding of certain technical concepts goes (especially in the area of rocketry). But a genius is a genius only in their specific area of expertise, and there's absolutely no reason to assume a genius will have any level of competence in an area outside of that. It is quite plain that people skills lie outside of Musk's area.
@johnathanhughes4367 Musk's genius, like Trump's, is in con-artistry and exploitation. The rest of the success is in being too rich to fail. The rocket scientists are the genius behind SpaceX, Elon just knows how to capitalise on their hard work
@@johnathanhughes4367That isn't quite accurate, it's more accurate to say that a genius is an analytical problem solved and that has little (some, but little) to do with social day-to-day life. A person who spends a lot of time leveraging that analytical prowess, perhaps due to positive feedback or urging from parents and teachers, may not spend the appropriate amount of time developing their social skills. Indeed, they may feel this is fine, because the media representations of smart people backs up that pathway. (Not in ancient times, not in Asia, they have different genius stereotypes present in their media). What you appear to be describing is something like a prodigy, savant, phenom, or other such term referring to a huge capability within one specific skill while being otherwise mudane or even subpar. While genius has been used colloquially in this way, the more standard use related to IQ measurements and thus Analytical thinking as a specific skill, albeit one with a broader range of applications in life than say, piano.
I think it’ll be both of them completely wrong. Like, idiot one: let’s kick hornets nest from the front! Idiot two: no, no, no! We must kick it from the side!
Well, look on the bright side - Muskrat is not a natural-born US citizen, so at least we won't have to worry about whatever presidential aspirations he may be having.
Wonderful to see you up! There will be much to discuss so be judicious between your health and the important work of calming the erupting thoughts we in your audience have from the news cycle. You are the best at centering the argument to main points not emotion.
Lots and lots and loads of love Vlad. Really good to see you sitting! Wait, what? 80% of your attention goes towards masking the symptoms? Hard to belive, your short analysis is strong and clear! Be well, as much as you can, please.
And here we see the big flaw in global conspiracy theories: 1. Nobody can conquer the world alone. 2. Only narcissists want to conquer the world. 3. Narcissists don't play well together.
@@renstein8210 "The real problem" implies a universal field theory of problems. And that is at the very heart of conspiracy theory. Conspiracy is a real thing--that's why we have a word for it and why that word turns up in legal language. But conspiracy _theory_ is the idea that everything wrong in the world is caused by one ginormous, sweeping plot spanning the globe. So maybe the Real Problem is that we keep trying to simplify our complex issues into one single problem caused by one single source. The reassuring thing about a supervillain is that a superhero can take him down, mano a mano--which is why we keep trying to elevate superheros, but there's no such thing in the real world, only in metaphor. All we can find in the real world are narcissists who fantasize about being superheroes. We have many different problems that overlap and exacerbate each other. They all interconnect, and many are related, so we need to treat them all in the context of each other, but we have to simultaneously see how they differ and how that might change how we treat each one.
You're really fun and mischievous-seeming in this one. It's quite charismatic. You have me feeling a little sorry for Elon, I must admit. It's gonna be rough for him.

I'd really like to understand were the impression (shared among many) comes from, that Musk was very intelligent...?
Good one as always
I think it’ll be both of them completely wrong. Like, idiot one: let’s kick hornets nest from the front! Idiot two: no, no, no! We must kick it from the side!
😂😂 more like it
Prayers for your health Vlad!
Musk? Trump? Who is “the best”? I really don’t know. In my country We say: there can't be two roosters crowing in the henhouse
Well, look on the bright side - Muskrat is not a natural-born US citizen, so at least we won't have to worry about whatever presidential aspirations he may be having.
looking healthy Vlad!
Wonderful to see you up! There will be much to discuss so be judicious between your health and the important work of calming the erupting thoughts we in your audience have from the news cycle. You are the best at centering the argument to main points not emotion.
How can one man be so wise??? 😮
Bravo Vlad… the chair! ❤❤❤
Thank you for all these chats… very helpful.
This video will AGE WELL in a few years. Vlads prediction about western far right wings starting to sympathizing with Putin aged well too.
He got Trumps election spot on too. The only channel I watch that did !
Lots and lots and loads of love Vlad. Really good to see you sitting! Wait, what? 80% of your attention goes towards masking the symptoms? Hard to belive, your short analysis is strong and clear! Be well, as much as you can, please.
Good to see you upright, you look good Vlad.
I value your thoughts and respect your brilliant mind.
And here we see the big flaw in global conspiracy theories: 1. Nobody can conquer the world alone. 2. Only narcissists want to conquer the world. 3. Narcissists don't play well together.
That's exactly the reason, why all those WEF conspiracy theories are so stupid.
It's no surprise that most authoritarians inevitably become paranoid, alone, and only able to trust their housekeeper in the end.
That’s why obvious narcissists aren’t the real problem. You need to ask yourself, who is?
In the chair! 🪑🎉
💛
To the window. To the wall!
Your sweater game is strong🙂
From the CHAIR! ❤ I love seeing you having a good day. I hope these become more frequent again.
Congratulations on your promotion to chairman pro-tem Vlad. I hope your new position becomes permanent soon.
This is why I follow you. Great insight. Thank you, and I hope you recover to full strength!
both will be wrong and both will hate each other
As an AuDHD person, I agree with you 100%.
Trump caring about human factors seems far-fetched.
New subscriber....excellent Vlad
You're really fun and mischievous-seeming in this one. It's quite charismatic.
You have me feeling a little sorry for Elon, I must admit. It's gonna be rough for him.
I do love Vlad's reflections on Neuro-diversity. I have reflected on it a great deal on my own and with everyone its appropriate for me to discuss it with, and its so entertaining for me how Vlad discusses it.
This feels more like a manifestation than a prediction
Brilliant take, Vlad! I would bet you are right. Let's see this one plays out. 🍿
Many thanks for your heroic efforts on our behalf, Vlad. For those that might be interested, The Phantom comic strip has been having a go at Musk for a few weeks now, with a character named Ian Mollusk whose attempt to claim the moon for himself using an AI doppelganger isn't going well.
Thanks for the warning, Vlad! Will be watching closely!
Right now they are dancing, laughing and celebrating. When it hits them and it will HIT them, they will expect our sympathy.
"Whoever laughs last, laughs louder"!!!
Enjoy your party,,,🎉
What you are saying makes so much sense, but I could never have thought of it or articulated it. Thank you, you are as always, uniquely Vlad.
Glad that you seem to have more energy, Vlad!
You're seeing him for 5 minutes out of his entire day.
I never noticed Trump's ADHD until Vlad pointed it out, but it's now so blatant that I'm baffled that nobody else seems to be talking about it. I'm saying this as someone who was diagnosed with ADHD last week! As ever I'm very impressed by Vlad's levels of insight and empathy.
I agree.I think bc his narcissism is so loud and blatant and awful and well..just so cringe...that it overshadows his adhd and his dementia. .but he has the focus of a 6 month old and his stream of consciousness ramblings at his rallies are truly a thing to behold.Boris Johnson is also probably adhd ..although w his classics education and etonian polish he is worlds ahead of trump.
good for you
This is how a cartoon super-villain is born...
Given Musks supposed ability to really thing hard about what people need, he didn't really come up with anything really useful so far though.
Hello beautiful Vlad
The bets are on.... I don't give them more than 4 months.
6 Months.
Alright, added to my check back in 2026 playlist where I will watch the vid then and compare to the time has passed.
