As I remember it, Solas said he personally hated blood magic, but that it was just another form of magic.
The Blight's connection to the Evanuris blew me away too. Iw would explain why Solas was always super freaked out by how the Grey Wardens played around with the Blight amd why he was so tight-lipped about it. What exactly is The Blight?
While there is no quicksave the game does make seperate distinct autosaves before major conversations and decisions that you can fall back to. I forgot what its titled as, but theyre marked distinctly from manual and autosaves. I do think there should still be a quicksave button but at least theres something to help with that outside of limited manual saves.
And solas did specifically hate the ideas of slavery and controlling others, while blood magic is a tool, its primary use of controlling people is something i would see him abhoring. Granted he follows that by saying if he could control you he would be. So.... You know. Could just be weird character choices again.
You know if I remember right the elven gods faced against the titans in a war and won, maybe the war left the elven people confused and scared, thus the gods came in to take control to make sure they didn't go astray. As for the blight, I have a idea that maybe the titan war they either did something and it made the blight, or they discovered the blight during the war and used it against the titans to beat them. Though that wouldn't explain why dwarves can't dream and they were children of titans, and the way dwarves say they can't enter the fade and don't dream, it sounds a lot like tranquility.
The old gods aren't the same thing as the evanuris. They were basically really powerful dragons (that mural of the elves binding a dragon has interesting lore implications) ancient Tevinter worshipped as an overpowered dragon cult. Dragons are sentient enough to have goals like the high dragon that wanted to corrupt the ashes in Origins
Some people have speculated over time that they are in fact the same thing and they can turn into dragons. Which is why there are only 2 old gods and 2 evanuris left.
I've personally always seen it as like Roman vs Greek Gods. Same things different names/time periods/slight differences
I always thought the old gods were a myth that eventually got attributed to the 7 Magisters who entered the Black City and brought the Blight back with them turning into the 7 Archdemons.
@@FoodThenGameswhile that's an interesting idea the evanuris and the old gods behave very very differently from what we see in the dlc from origins and here. And would Solas not also be an evanuris, even if he opposed the main 'elven gods' on behalf of his people, he was still one of them. Which would mean we have 3 evanuris left when there should only be 2 old gods. I do think they are seperate entities. Although without spoilers there are some things about the blight that come up in this game that could rework more of that information.
it's not us, they said it always there
Perfect timing. I needed something to watch while I cooked breakfast, and then it’s back into Thedas for me!
Have a good weekend Plex! ✨
I love the lore pauses so much! having played the games years ago it's nice to have a refresher.
EA_Illium said .. but DATV does not have a Quick save feature,
It doesn't 😩There's no quick saving and only 100 save slots (not sure if that's per a character or total however)
@@FoodThenGames Apparently it's per character
Thank you!!!!
I think Harding's lines here are for the benefit of newbs. There's a lot of lore dumping going on the tutorial stages.
I totally don’t mind and appreciate the lore dumps for new people and even a refresher for veterans! It’s more the tone and lines don’t really feel like Harding/ it’s almost a little too “simplistic” if that makes sense? Like I feel like I’m in a tutorial instead of interacting with people/characters.
@@FoodThenGames i really hear liara talking not harding
To be honest it would have been a really funny move, if they had let Rook die in the beginning. Only to be taken over by the Inquisitor 😂
And second to the lore pauses, they're great 🤗
Harding introduced you to what ever mission in each new region you unlock and had 1 or 2 banter lines nothing more and very limited flirts in dai at skyhold
…I know exactly who Harding is in DAI. You also left out her involvement in descent and JoH.
And she was written so well back then that you were able to easily pick up on her personality fast. It’s why everyone wanted more time with her.
I think you may have turned the text above the demons head off because I'm watching another play through & they have the names of them above their heads..
You make everything more exciting ☺️ 💕 ❤️ 😊 💖
Here is the problem. They changed the lore. The new Bioware has rewrote the lore for the game instead of respecting the lore.
Indeed lolz. Worth of below twenty via EA Pro Membership. Not sixty as they blindly ask.
Your'RE not beholden to advertisers...so what's is your rating of the game?
A-F?
I’m no where near done with the game so I have no idea. Plus I never ever give out ratings like that.
@@FoodThenGames That's a corporate reply if I ever heard one.
Not even willing to give your subscribers a slight heads up.
Did you get the game for free?
Unsubscribed.
I bought the game with my own money thanks - I always disclose in the vid description and in the first episode if I got a code from a dev/publisher.
In the entire history of my channel I haven't once ever and I do mean ever given an A-F or 1-10 rating of a game. I've had numerous conversations with people about how I feel to help better inform them of their choices.
And my subscribers who want a heads up can ask me questions like they've done and I've answered honestly on specific topics. They can also WATCH the let's play to get my live reactions to things as I go through.
@@WooBino. Quick, go find a window. You see that stuff on the ground outside your window? Kinda spikey, maybe green or brown. That's grass. Go touch it. It'll save your life.
@@WooBino. My brother in Andraste, this is a playthrough not a review. She just recently got the game too so I think its fair for her to say her thoughts when she feels like shes experienced the game enough
