Everything Aaron Allston touched is gold, and Harkwood is one of the best. I think it would make a great change of pace for some of the newer 'dungon crawler' games (Shadowdark, DCC, Dragonsbane) as a palate clenser from delving, or a stepping stone to Companion level in BECMI.
@@1ShotJC Skardas mirror holds up pretty well...Strike Force for Champions is great and really, Grand Duchy of Karimikos(sp?) Set the bar for both BECMI in general, and regional sourcebooks in any game.
Another very interesting adventure I've never heard of! Sounds like like it would be easy to port over to another system as well. For $4 I think I will add to my list. Your reviews are insightful and entertaining! Love the foreshadow in this one LoL.
@@1ShotJC Of course! For the survivors. But they called the planned spell some high-flying name that probably 'The Greatest Of Work Occasioning The Bane Of All Orcs!'. [rolls 18 on the final ritual cast, then another to get the critical result] "Um..." [gets what they asked for, but not how]
Now that’s impressive! Be sure to check out my Yrth Tredroy adventure Moon of Thorns on 1shotadventures - I love that setting and always wanted to see more material on it
Do you have a review for orcslayer? I bought the campaign a long time ago. The overall idea is very fun, but I found the ending piece a bit lackluster.
GURPS needs more love, the freedom of the system is unmatched.

Chris - your stuff is fantastic and I’m a fan. Everyone should watch!
@@1ShotJC Right back at you!!! Keep up the great work.
awwwwwww GURPS FRIENDSHIPS
Hooray for GURPS!
that end scared a shit of me

What's another favorite Allston adventure of yours?

I would argue that an underground prison is the definition of a dungeon.
Hahaha true - but was thinking a D&D style dungeon
Slight correction: the elves didn't call their spell the Banestorm, that's what the hugely lethal explosive cockup result got called. :P
Hahaha yes. I’m pretty sure their name for it was a string of swear words.

I've run this one, was good. Been running a Banestorm game for long enough one of my players was born after it started and is an adult.

@@1ShotJC [dives in that direction] Tredroy's been the centre of my game for most of the time I've been running it.
I DMed Assassin's Knot when it first came out. Great module.
That adventure blew my mind when I first bought it as a kid. I never ran it though.
@@1ShotJC It's not too late!
You forgot to edit that part at around 15:00. There's a repeat. Otherwise, GREAT vid!
Oh man! Thanks for the heads up
@@1ShotJC No thank you, this looks like a great mod I never heard of. I gotta get it!

Not yet but it is on my short list!
It's can be played in low fantasy rpg like Pendragon?
Definitely - there's little to no magic or weirdness that prevent it from working in a medieval era
Lol that sounds pretty fun to play in.
Why is one character in every group of pregens you make Attractive?
I have a player in my group who always likes to play “tv star” characters who are good at influencing NPCs
