Brings back so many memories of Mom playing her accordion. I have it, just never learned how to play it. So thanks for allowing me to hear a few songs that I never thought I'd hear again.
Richard, some instruments and players bring out the beauty of music better than others. You and your instrument are incredible. Wonderful, absolutely wonderful. I'm upping my practice to two to three hours a day! Many thanks for posting your videos. Tony
Hi Richard. I never stop to watching your videos, even the oldest. This Czardas are fabulous. What a performance and sense of rythm and pace. You are one of the best accordionists in RUclips. Thank you for your musical sens. Artur Ferreira
Beautiful. The first time I watched this I had flashbacks of my older brother,(He passed away wen I was 12)so many wonderful memories came because of the way you play specially in 3:15.God Bless You even more because you are already blessed :) I even downloaded the video!!!! I cant believe I have never heard of you!!!!
Számos nagyszerű előadótól hallottam azt a gyönyörű zenei művet, különböző értelmezésekben, különböző hangszereken. Gratulálok Richárd! Nagyon szépen köszönöm az élményt. Tisztelettel István
Geez, Leon! People will think you're my brother or something! But indeed I appreciate your unfailing support of my efforts with the Roland V-accordion, including numerous suggestions about the recording process.
wow --this is just wonderful --full of expression and wonderful sound --and of course the great playing technique that you have ! Excellent --one of the best plays of this song I've heard ! Best Wishes !
Richard Noel, you and Annie Gong (who also has the Roland FR-7) that would be a fantastic arrangement with both accordions going full steam ahead. Y'all are both top notch accordion artist!
Tom, Thanks for the generous compliment. As far as transitioning to the digital from the acoustic, I found it quite easy, and knew right away that I was unlikely to return to the acoustic. Richard
Thanks Silvia. As usual, you pick up on all of the nuances. I did use a bit more reverb, especially after seeing how good it sounded on your sets. I also used the internal USB for recording this time, which seems to pick up more of the reverb.
Hey Richard, I saw this video on youtube. You might have seen it already but I thought it was worth it to forward it to you. And again: nice playing! Greets Nick
It is really amazing. I love acordeons, i don't know to play, i want to buy one but i don't have enought money, it's expensive. Greatings from Romania.
The bellows definitely are moving. They simply don't move as much as with a traditional accordion. I am actually pulling them quite hard, especially in the louder parts.
Richard, simply wonderful. Thank you for posting this and all your others. I'm learning on a FR-3x and hearing you on the 7x is inspirational, and has me wondering when I might be at the level to move up to a 7X. I studied piano and harmonica for about five years, taking up the accordion six months ago. My practice time is more enjoyable on the accordion. Keep up the good work. Tony
Richard, this is fantastic. Great instrumentation, perfect musicality and superb technique. It is definitely one of the best interpretation of this piece. I totally agree with Leon: professional video in every aspect. I noticed that you have put a bit more reverb and I think it suits perfect to the Czardas. Silvia
Thanks, Jim. Just checked out your first youtube--great job in producing a unique version of the tune that displays your talents and that of the Roland.
Absolutely brilliant and helpful! Thank you very much!: Please I want buy your notes for this song. Already I've Monti Csardas partiture I'd want your arrangement specially minut 0:15. Thanks in advance for your answer
Richard, You are absolutely amazing. I love the way you combine expression with flawless technique. I've listened to this, Malageuena and Radetzky March many times, and I am floored every time. I've let others who are hearing a digital accordion for the first time, and they are equally moved...Bravo. It just seems that every piece you play, that that's the way it was meant to be played. Was there a big transition from acoustic to digital for you...in other words, easy to adapt? Tom
Bravo!!!! Love this. Even learn the accordion to play this (serious). A singer though. Maybe you have a composition that includes vocals? Thinking of learning congas, but if I could just find sufficient evidence of rock, blues, pop accordion that sounds good accompanying singing, I'd go for accordion instead. Most accordion adoptions I've seen so far online to rock, blues, or pop sound terrible. A tango version of rock blues should work. Need to see one before buying. Love this!
En el avance o retroceso del Ejercito Rojo, siempre, a los acordeonistas lo tenian a retaguardia. La importancia de la musica, para la moral de las tropas.
That could certainly be the case. This was one of my first recordings and I was still learning about a lot of things. Hard to believe that was 10 years ago!
Bravo! I love the span of accordion sounds we can get form this great instrument. I have posted my first video on RUclips (JimRobbinsAccordion is my channel). I had a wonderful opportunity in the last two weeks to play at 4 Seasons and at our church - really loved working with our jazz group at Missio Dei and playing some Vince Guaraldi Christmas/Peanuts music.

Geez, Leon! People will think you're my brother or something! But indeed I appreciate your unfailing support of my efforts with the Roland V-accordion, including numerous suggestions about the recording process.
Oh - I wish I could play this just like that! The fingers just fly over those keys! So lightly. I will practice! And practice!
Ironically, I had an email conversation with Annie Gong a few weeks ago. What a great player and person!

I love the piece, but seldom get a chance to play it. The 7x adds a little extra flavor to the song, IMHO. Thanks for the comments.

Mõnus muusika:-)
Please do a cover of davie jones locker, it will be a winner
Lovely version! Am I going crazy, or did you put the left (bass) through the left speaker and right (piano-keyboard) through the right channel?
That could certainly be the case. This was one of my first recordings and I was still learning about a lot of things. Hard to believe that was 10 years ago!
@@RichardNoel sounds fantastic, all the same! Love your posts, keep it up.
@@RichardNoel I just reread my initial post, it makes no sense, sorry! I just meant that the stereo image was reversed.
Great rendition of Czardas ! Say, how much does this kind of accordion costs ?

Why don't the bellows look like they are moving? :S

Never knew professor Charles Xavier could play the accordion well, apart from reading minds.
