On June 13th 1940, the ringing of church bells was prohibited. They could only be rung as a warning that the Germans had invaded/imminent air raid. This restriction was lifted on Easter Sunday, 1943.

Where did this video come from??We prefer our British mysteries to be on the grittier side, but we prefer our YT videos to be like yours -- lovely countryside and pretty little villages all the way. We are shocked, absolutely SHOCKED that you managed to find some magenta flowers. Admittedly, they were lovely. Of course. So did you guess the birth date of the lamb? Our guess is February 19, 2006. FINGERS CROSSED! That carrot cake looked incredible and you would have basically broken Instagram with the beautiful juxtaposition. Should totally post it on the community tab, your engagement will be through the roof! We'd be eating the carrot cake while listening to the band, that's the perfect combo. Thanks for the daytime surprise video -- caught us at the PERFECT time 💗

Thanks so much for your comment about the lamb birthday and the belly laugh you gave me. Sadly, I think you are not going to win the prize!

I never got to ring a church bell, but I did get to climb the bell tower in the church in Teigh. It was a very narrow spiral stairs complete with dust and spider webs. Hey Dara! If you want to include more film and TV locations in a future video, come a little closer to London to the hidden away village of Turville, between High Wycombe and Henley upon Thames. It's like a time warp there.. AND.... the following were all filmed (or have repeatedly used it)
    1. The Vicar of Dibley
    2. Midsomer Murders
    3. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (the windmill on the top of the hill above the village, owned at time of filming by the actress Hayley Mills)
    4. Went the day well - a cult propaganda film made during WW2 and banned until after it ended !
