Harvey is able to complete shut off his emotion. Like he said, "I'm not the guy that gives you a hug when you're scared. I'm the guy that wins when you need it the most."
😂 Easily one of my fave scenes. Him bringing up Logan and the look on Mike's face. PRICELESS!! Harvey was having none of the antics. Lol. Fantastic scene.
doesnt seem right to me though. If there was such a legend of a student that only came up to take tests, wouldn't he be more famous? Atleast the student body and faculty would be made aware of an unknown student like that.
@@nath6782 I don't know how it is at harvard law, but at my university there are 100 to 1000 people in one course with people taking the exams in different orders and often distributed across multible rooms. Nobody would notice someone who just shows up for exams and nothing else.
@@clockworkvanhellsing372 I assure you that Harvard’s law school does not have class sizes that large. This is a graduate program that is for the most part available only to highly competitive applicants who have completed an undergraduate degree at a respected university with near perfect grades
Yea sorry a top private law school has professors that pay attention to every student. It’s not 1 of those schools that has 100+ students every class and the professor doesn’t get paid enough to care
Harvey knows he needs to go on full attack in the mock trial to prepare Mike for Anita Gibbs in his real trial. It reminds me of Spartacus when he fights Tony Curtis to the death so he would not suffer as Spartacus did.
Mike might be thinking that he's kicking Harvey's a** , but there's no question who the best shark in the courtroom is. As much as I like Mike, this student cannot become "the master".
Apart from this scene, how conveniently Racheal is allowed to cheat on Ross and get away with it but if it were Ross in that position, she would have gone mad to the extent of proving him the devil infront of all the world.
When I first saw this, I didn't see the beginning when he came to his apartment, so I thought Harvey was trying to expose him and made me confused. When I saw the full version of this episode, I now realize why Harvey came at mike like this. This is exactly the way Gibbs would approach him, not by the exact words of Harvey but by Gibbs demeaner and attitude in prosecuting mike.
One of the most basic rules of law practice: never take a case in which you have emotional attachment and/or any interests other than professional ones. It clouds whatever decision-making abilities one might have, shortens any argumentation skills and usually leads to emotion-based choices. I usually like Mike's ingenuity but he really should have kept Harvey as lead counsel. Harvey's cold demeanor and tendency to lean towards his rational rather than emotions would have ultimately proven better, as proven in the end of this arc.
Mike's whole reasoning for wanting to represent himself was so he could testify without actually testifying. If he was actually testifying, he would be sworn in, and would have to admit to being a fraud.
I get what you're saying, but I disagree for one simple reason. The needs of the story. The result would've been the same, only the details getting there would've looked a lil different.
That part where Harvey reads off the paper that none of the graduating class knows Mike is honestly completely rendered moot by the fact that Mike apparently only went up for tests. They'd have only seen him a handful of times and he wouldn't exactly be making himself super well known by going in, keeping his head down in his test, and then leaving. Based on Mike's story which in the "trial" is said way before that note is even brought up, that note is irrelevant.
The prosecution can easily check with Harvard. Don't universities keep records of their students, fees paid for each student, attendance records, exam results etc. All information is easily archived, so I can't understand why they don't just ask the university. Can someone explain why they dont use this simple solution?
Because they hacked into the harvad alumni database (a client's daughter did it as a favour to mike when he helped her mend her relationship with her father). So even if they checked the database they could have found out that mike's info is there. But it wouldn't matter as Anita was tipped off by Shiela (Who is an employee and a representative for Harvard in the real world). I mean you can't find logic in a fictional series. You will find plotholes so you can just be oblivious, kick back and enjoy the show. Life is much more blissful that way😂
@@yondaimehokage697 Harvard can also check the exam papers written by each student for each exam. I'm sure there's a way of finding out that he's a fraud. So are you saying that I could get a Harvard degree if I was able to hack into Harvard's database? And I live in a remote village in India with only my cell phone for internet. There must be a paper trail somewhere.
@@Tom_Stevens617 Mike never committed adultery in the show. And, yes, he does judge others based on his views on cheating (Rachel, his mother, his brother-though his brother lied about cheating to cover up his gambling addiction).
@@Dsandles47 Mike did when he slept with Tess - and before you say he wasn't in a relationship at the time - that only applies to cheating. Sleeping with a married person is adultery regardless of whether you're in a relationship or not As for Harvey, in S7E14, he explicitly tells Louis that he does not judge others based on his own views of infidelity. With regards to the “affidavit” Harvey had, all Mike had to do was reiterate how he only went to class to take tests, so of course nobody knew of him.
