I use windex to clean and then more windex without wiping off (wet application). Then squeegee with fingers or credit card (depending on the size and shape). The windex allows you to position the sticker and not worry about bubbles.
I like the overlays. I have them on my side markers and the taillights on my Bronco. I actually like them better than the smoked out taillight covers that you have.

Are those visor stickers able to be peeled off?
Instead of applying those stickers upside down, I pulled visors down an over to the window side and it made it much easier!

I tried to get them for my taillights initially, but they did have ones that fit my model
Why not just remove the warning labels instead of covering them?
