    I've had my eye on the Corgeut version of this in the brushed silver case and lume orange numerals and that gorgeous display caseback. Still think my next purchase is going to be the Parnis canteen crowned lume numeral chrono, the choice between the green lume large numerals or the orange lol

    Nice build.
    I am going to order some hands for my little SNK805, skx style in contrast colour.

      Hi Peder - I’m sure it will look great. The SNK 805 is a more manageable size, but carries the field aesthetic which makes it a great cousin to a pilots watch

    not a fan of pilots watches but I like what you've done there....did you mean bronze rather than brass? or are brass watch cases a thing?

    • @watchmebuildit
      @watchmebuildit  4 года назад

      Haaa! Loco you are correct. I should have been saying Bronze! Perhaps we should try to make brass watches a thing!

    Looks a million pounds better in the golden case, only smudge on the paper was the easily seen fingerprints on the movement side which no doubt you rodico'd. I have got on its way a coffee gold bracelet, coffee bezel and coffee gold case set from Aliexpress with the intention of a NH35 Seiko and possibly a coffee sunburst sterile dial and a set of the Tudor axe hands for the overall look. Am bench testing an ancient Slava tank quartz on the desk at the mo but have found I have pretty much all the Soviet pieces I would want and want to branch off into a bit of a higher quality bracket and loving the Miyota 8215, DG2813 and NH35 sort of build your own watch ideas :)

      Hey Ian. You upcoming build sounds beautiful. I LOVE the Tudor hands. Drop me a few shots on watchmbi@gmail.com

    Yes, the watch is on the big side. The movement was originally used for pocket watches. I love it. My eyes are bad so I think it is probably easy to read dial.

      I live your comment. And thank you. Yes - these movements are the simplest iteration of watch-making and glorious to behold

      @@watchmebuildit I have ordered one of these watches. I plan to use the movement to learn how to service a watch. Thanx for showing us that mod. Nice.

    I have the same dial on an off the shelf Parnis. I think it's bespoke if that means the same

    • @watchmebuildit
      @watchmebuildit  4 года назад

      Hi Neil. I've personally not seen this on a Parnis - but the Parnis worl is MUCH bigger than lil'ol' me. I know that Greevo sell this specific dial in their store at great prices (or at least they did - not sure if they're still around).
