Barry White is the man, Never Never Gonna Give You Up is great too.
I've Got So Much To Give
Yes Barry Eugene Carter aka (Barry white) lord what can i say my mom love this man beside listening to radio. I used look at his album covers as a kid she had so much of his music. So i was already created before barry music....LOL. But yes he understood how songs be composed produced also a musician without being so explicit he was sexual sensual. But he was about the art of love being in love making love verbally expressing it. His library is massive and the THE LOVE UNLIMITED ORCHESTRA played a big role in his 70"s catalogue. They used to called him the Maestro. The unlimited orchestra instrumentals which was 40 piece Orchestra alone had solo albums still barry part of it. But there are so many samples on the instrumental alone. He also created the girl group LOVE UNLIMITED in which the lead singer Glodean james became his wife. Had hits also like "Walking in the rain with the one i love" "I belong to you" my favorites " Oh love, Well we finally made it" " Cant let him down" Glodean recorded duets with barry in the 80s.
This is the first song I ever heard from Barry White. I'll never forget it.
Barry wasn't playing no games. Straight to the point
Barry is an automatic hit. Hopefully more songs by him will be requested.
The "Maestro" as Barry was called...excellent choice.....Bro Barry has a HUGE catolog of music that he produced not only for himself but for other artists....looking forward to you reacting to more of his music
my favorite barry song.
Barry White is a master of his craft.
Yessss, always a pleasure to listen to the legendary maestro barry white, this one of my favorites. 😎🔥👍
Those instrumentals are sensational.
Barry was the man and still is! I saw him in concert once...fantastic!
I don’t know if I’m the first woman to ever walk down the aisle to a Barry white song but I did and that song was “I found someone” gives me the chills just thinking about it❤️
Barry White, Stevie Wonder and Sade are my top 3 all time favorite artists.
Barry White has a very deep library of music that deserves a thorough listen.
Dude..I have alot respect for you opening up to the old sckool musi.
Great reaction..this song and Artist Rocks! 😎👍
I GOT SO MUCH LOVE TO GIVE...my personal favorite
Barry white was such a gifted musician. He couldn’t read music but he composed, arranged, conducted, produced, orchestrated…immensely talented man! R.I.P. Barry.
You've probably heard that snare drum in thousands of songs as well as the drum roll. It's such a legendary soul song as well as Hiphop instrument sample.
That’s what music is about. Dipping in that inkwell to see what other music is about. Young man you will never be sorry. Other reaction channels don’t play what you play. Cudos to you for adventuring out.🥰
Well said!
This song is absolute fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Check out these jams from Barry White “Playing Your Game Baby” and “Love Making Music”
Let the music play !!!!
I’m glad I feel young again at 63 enjoy watching the reactions most of em cracking me up
Rodney O and Joe Cooley - great rappers in the 80’s used the backing beats for Everlasting Bass.
Yes indeed Barry White 🥰
His wife was so lucky to have him he truly loved her
One of my favorites
Practice What You Preach! That my Barry song. He does no wrong!
My all time favorite song by him.
This guy is incredible
Back in the day if you didn't know how to talk to a girl, all you had to do was put on Barry White's Stone Gon' album for her and let Barry help you out.
Your vid at 2:39 drummer intro, playing superb ghost notes on the snare & the consistency of the high hat that make this beat timeless; 2:41 the clavinet & harpsichord (I think! And I feel like that part is one of the foundations of Future & Metro's "LIKE THAT" song); 3:30 THE DROP of the bass & piano is so damn 🔥🔥🔥#OMG playing this in my car again and again just to hear the beginning! 3:41, The comping electric piano steams this fire up a little more; 3:57 or so, the orchestra strings comping with the electric piano is such a damn vibe; 4:05 very subtle single note string line coming in softly and increases in volume: 4:06, one guitar mirroring the piano part; 4:27 or so, the other guitar playing chords with wah wah pedal, panned to your left ear; 4:28 We're all in! HOT DAMN> This is straight 🔥🔥🔥These little details add punch to a reaction video. It follows the suspense & beauty of the arrangement. This is how I hear it. #musiciansear
Music is always timeless and like said never expires // no music no life always !!!// a def djs beats and popular sample !!!
BRO YOUR HEARING ONE OF THE MOST BEUTYFULL COMPOSER OF THE WORD
THE MASTER BARRY WHITE
I THINK THIS COMPOSER MAYBE HAS TO BE OUT THIS WORD
PEACE✌
Eric B &Rakim "the rhyme goes on," and "the ghetto" also by Eric B and Rakim.
JJ, remember me from that story I told you about ZOOM from back in the day? I'm proud of you for opening your mind and going on this journey to discover some of the classics back in the day, particularly the classic soul and R&B. "Never Gonna Give You Up" is another great one from Barry White. You should check it out, the close to five minutes version, the eight minutes version is overkill (IMO).
JJ, one more thing. I loved your story about how and why you got into checking out the classics from back in the day. Cool story.
to answer your question about who sampled this song, according to whosampled DOT com, there are 259 different song/samples.....
The sad thing it’s timeless BUT it’s changed so much
That’s an excellent analysis!
I don't know if you've ever watched "The Munsters" but I could see Lurch playing this song on the piano! (Not that that's a bad thing!)
Ujima Jame - Lurch is on The Addams Family, not The Munsters - hilarious comment nevertheless.
Pharoahe Monch sampled Godzilla in "Simon Says"
but this song has been sampled by soooo many folks.
THE MAESTRO
This is early, '73ish. I was 19. Good times.
Don't worry about who sampled it man.....just listen to the Master !
Two words: Oh, yaaaaaa!!!❤ Maybe three: Oh, hell yaaaaaaaa❤❤ ✌❤
Responsible for more baby's made**** !!! The Maestro of love R I P
the MAN, Barry White musically, was so BAD. the brother was the Maestro of his own Orchestra back in the 70's. the love unlimited orchestra.
Eric B and Rakim, the rhyme goes on, aswell as the Ghetto.
Let The Music Play #DiscoClassic
I prefer music made from the imagination. Not from someone else's creation . But sampling is here to stay ✌🏾
That beginning part reminds me of the Addams Family. I know it’s the same instrument
I feel you, it use to annoy me when i dig in the hip hop archives and discover bars that were used by the 90s rappers that I thought were so sick. I find they “borrowed” a bar or two from Rakim a bit too often especially.
You were talking about classic music being so amazing. Hiphop music introduced loads of young people to classic soul and rock songs. If not for Dr Dre Parliament/Funkadelic would be lost to the younger generation. Marley Marl using James Brown. Premier, Q-tip and RZA using jazz samples. I would know none of this music.
Of course all sample usage is not great, which is what sets Premier, Timbaland, Dr Dre, Track-masters, J-Dilla, apart from the rest.
For everything, there is a time and place.
I remember that’s how I found you. Lookin for Marley reactors way back. Them low quality vids though 😂. You really come a long way.
"No Ideas Original" sampled by Nas
Try “Honey Please”❤
React to Your Love So Good I Can Taste it, Yoiur Sweetness ys my Weakness, Mellow Mood 1 and 2
Nas also sampled this on his album the lost tapes on the song “No ideas”
Try Barry,s... Playin your game... tracks deep... peace young bro... teach the yutte dem..
Eric b & Rakim as the rhyme goes on
I think Tone-Loc had a rift like that too.
Rick Ross and Ghostface Killah have sampled this
Eric b and rakim the rhyme goes on.
Michael Jackson - I cant help it
Nas sampled it
Nas - No ideas original . Give it a listen great track
Prince sample this on “Diamonds and Pearls” lowkey. I could be wrong though 🥴
Funky
Barney Artist - space
Madonna lifted parts of this.
👍
Hmm.... How can samples take away from the original track? I think it takes away from the track that did the sample because they took the easy way out. They didn't create their own. It use to be called stealing until the started making them pay for samples. There was no such thing as sampling back in the day.. it came about through hip hop. The good is that it introduced a bunch of young people to older music but the bad....well i think you said it in another video yourself. Artist back in the day could usually do at least 2 things.. Sing, dance, play at least 1 instrument, write lyrics, compose, perform etc. Some artist today cant do 1 thing. But you can make millions of dollars off of samples of great music. That is how great some sons are. You can keep bring them back over and over and over again and they will always be a hit. All music is NOT timeless but GREAT music is absolutely timeless. Your kids will listen to Barry White, Marvin Gaye etc and will love it. Thats the genius of those artists.
You done any Issac Hayes?
yup.
Well its understandable you were only listening to music today at one point because this is your era. Like all young people do listening what's popping now. Every generation always had listening to era's of music before them. Myself included since i was late 60's baby but 70's kid 80's teen. But how many songs will hold their value to be still listening to like 10 15 20 or even 5 years from now? like the songs your reacting to until this day. These songs stood the test of time. Sampling has been a controversial subject for years but the pro's & cons of it. To a certain degree it takes away especially if those songs wasn't cleared. But sampling did do a couple of things. It created a genre of rap music which there was other elements that help influences hip hop also. And second it reintroduced the original song to a generation that probably never heard of it. Rap songs or trap rap some calls it don't sample as much these days because one reason the publishers wants a high percentage of cut the music being used. Most artist produced their own music beats. Eventhough the beats audio effects or whatever is so repetitive. For myself the original songs is never be taken away for me to listen to because of its origins of being good music. And im a hip hop girl also these songs was part of my life.
Hi, can you make a reaction to Tommy Wright III - Gangsta Forever? It would also be interesting to see your reactions to all old school Memphis rap in general.
Think this was in Bruce Almighty.
It's pronounced Pharoah Monch.
Hi i like your reaction you are pationated with that, but i saw that u reacted to all most famous and dopest rappers in hip-hop old school, unless the is no Biggie album reaction or the most important 2Pac albums
Any problem in those artists ?
Rick ross did it
please with the who sampled this or that you're reacting to the original act like it
ooooo harsh!!! He's enjoying himself. I love his reaction.
Rude
