    Qimir and Maul before Sidious became the dark Lord with the perfect fall guys for the Sith. It would also explain why Plageuis was so OK with Palpatine training a acolyte because he did it himself and part of me thinks his master was OK with it as well considering those three had to do a lot of public eye things so they needed somebody in the background who was capable of going out and just killing someone or getting something done. And if they did get caught, they would fight to the end and it was unlikely that they would be captured alive meaning that even if the Jedi put two into together, they would think that they killed either the master or the apprentice when really it was just the acolyte. If this is true, then it’s in genius, and it is an extra mesh to protect the rule of two in certain cases.
    I’m not the best with the Star Wars timeline so somebody’s probably going to have to tell me or put it down themselves but around this time if Plageuis and his master were both alive then, of course it would part of the course that he would have to come and make sure that Qimir didn’t make too much of a big mess. You did a video as well about how he wasn’t suited for the times and I made comments over there as well, but I agree with your video Qimir wasn’t the apprentice he needed at the time he was only an acolyte and full person in the public eye. They get this thing right Qimir’s last living episode will be plagues killing him because he made a huge mess and couldn’t clean it up in a way that turned attention from the Sith. And would also explain why plagues took so long to take another apprentice because he technically already had one and that one failed so he would be a lot more careful in his picking of his second one.

    • @kilran.starwars
      @kilran.starwars  20 дней назад +1

      I wish they went this route. The idea that Qimir is a fall guy for Plagieus is great! And although not a direct contrast as you said it does rhyme with mauls fate in episode 1. sidious adopting dooku same way Plagieus adopted sidious. If this contrast was made I’m sure it would be appreciated. You touched on something very important that Plagueis needs for season 2 and that is an overarching plan. He needs to be the educated, eloquent figure behind the scenes pulling all the strings. Doing this by as you said making them think they killed the master or ended the threat is excellent while Plagieus is still alive proceeding with his experiments. My only issue is that this is the plot for the phantom menace and there and then it was supposed to be the first time they encountered a sith. There shouldn’t be anyone knowing about this. But if they can write this in a way that makes Plagieus the total genius and make it make sense it’ll be hard but I guess we’ll see.
      Yeah me neither getting my head around it is tedious but hey one can only try make sense of canon and non-canon timelines in Star Wars 😅 in terms of Plagieus’ master everyone says it’s tenebrous which they are correct however unfortunately it’s non canon as there is no canon Star Wars media which confirms Plagieus’ master. Yeah I’ve got my theories and opinions about Qimir and his role in all of this and I just think eventually it has to be a means to an end. yes my thoughts exactly 💯 people think I’m hating on Qimir calling him the failed apprentice but that’s his inherent role because of Palpatine taking the reigns as his ultimate successor. I appreciate your continued support in watching my content bro appreciate it 🙏

    • @kilran.starwars
      @kilran.starwars  2 месяца назад

      And Qimir too is now a threat since he revealed himself to the Jedi. You’re correct hence the rule of two. After Mandalore, Maul was left alive after the fight with sidious because he was going to be used as bait for sidious to lure mother Talzin. After son of of dathmir it was incidental that maul escaped however maul was no longer a threat to sidious and there was no plans for him to use maul even if his plans fell through. I used this example to contrast the possibility that Plagueis could kill Qimir based on previous canon showing how the sith treat those whose former apprentices go out of line.

    There was a post on Twitter / X in which a fan made an interesting prediction: I forget his / her name, but the poster pointed out that if you substitute the letter "a" in place of the letter "i" in Qimir's name, you are left with Qamar. Why is that interesting? Well, Qamar is an Arabic word for "moon". With that potentiaal tie-in with word play, Master Sol (sol = sun) sensing something familiar when Qimir asks if Sol rembers him, could there be a stronger connection between the two? Brothers, even? In keeping with the duality featured throughout the show, Osha - and Mae - each believing their sister had not survived the fire, and Sol's seeming to care extra for both of them - perhaps stemming directly from seeing Osha grow up dealing with the perceived loss of her sister - could Sol think he had lost his brother years ago in another tragic situation? Brothers and sisters, each with one dark and one light, now coming face-to-face again years after the events that created the foundations to shape their lives?
    Qimir - again notable as both Qimir and Qamar both have Q's not followed by U's; something not seen really in the English language of the show - stated he is a Sith seeking an Acolyte / Apprentice. He also states that he wants to be free to use his power as he sees fit. This is assumed to be without the Jedi harassing him, but it may also suggest that he is moving towards trying to defeat his Sith Master and step into that role. Sol is the obvious focus of his attention - obvious both by Qimir making Sol the last of the 4 Jedi to confront and by making Sol the one Qimir actially reveals himself too. This also suggests there may be something more to their relationship. Why would a Sith, master or apprentice, risk confronting the Jedi in the open now, exposing themselves to the Jedi, without an "end game" type strategy? There might really be something more, something not yet revealed. Qimir had to focus on not letting Mae escape. Mae knows too much about him and possibly even the Sith's existence. If she turned herself over to the Jedi or was captured, all could be lost from the perspective of the Sith. With Qimir telling Sol he was seeking an Acolyte, it made me immediately think he really wants Sol to join him - like Mae really wants Osha to choose her over the Jedi. Qimir knows Sol is obviously strong with the force. How can someone kill a Jedi without a weapon? As another poster stated, you make them a Sith (remember, from a certain point of view, Darth Vadar killed Anakin Skywalker). Qimir may be pushing Sol, using the twins as pawns, to turn him to the dark side and join him. Perhaps the goal, in getting Sol to join him, is to have a strong Acolyte, and together, they can overthrow Qimir's Master, making Qimir the new master and Sol the new apprentice. This could then go either way, with Qimir and Sol being victorious, revealing one as Plagueis or not, but either way, the two being Sith's from lore. The other pissibility is that someone like Plagueis is Qimir's Master, and there is enough light left in Sol - and perhaps Qimir as he can care for Sol as a brother - that they are defeated by Qimir's master, a Sith from lore, who then takes one or both sisters as an apprentice.
    Phew. Hope that all makes sense lol. Thoughts?

    • @kilran.starwars
      @kilran.starwars  2 месяца назад

      I like this theory alot. It adds a layer of depth to the show by adding a new contrast between Sol and Qimir. Sol character is very consistent in that he is very indoctrinated in the Jedi way but at the same time he almost struck Qimir and even Osha had to stop him so there is something odd there. I do believe Qimir had a teacher of some kind and if he is. Sith or “kind of a sith” he will have the desire to overthrow his master with an acolyte. Sol is more of a fit than Osha or Mae so it makes sense. And if Qimir worded up Sol and had him lash out again which Sol almost did, I mean hey who knows. Love that theory though.

    The term acolyte came from he Old Republic where Sith Lords wanted an apprentice. But during the Old Republic era many Sith Lords wanted the title of Master and many Sith Masters we killed and replaced by Sith lords. Maybe Qimir isn't even related to Plagueis, maybe he's just a Sith that doesn't care for the rule of 2. IMO the rule of 2 is just a small bandaid to a much bigger problem i.e the greed of the sith.

    • @suscon1140
      @suscon1140 2 месяца назад +1

      I have to admit, I am not 100% sure of what is considered actual Canon. When they purchased Lucasfilm, I can understand why Disney almost HAD to eliminate most of the stuff outside the Triology movies - so much material was written that it would seriously limit creativity and what directions they could move in with Star Wars. Personally, I like The Acolyte and hope it continues with the apparent momentum it built with Episode 5 (most reviews have been positive - some even really positive). I actually liked all of the episodes - some were better than others of course - but I went into the series reminding myself that this will not be a "movie" every week, but rather, it will be one movie divided into 8 parts. From that perspective, you could take The Empire Strikes Back and put Leia, Han, and everyone's arrival at Cloud City into one episode and Luke arriving on Dagobah in another. These two proposed episodes would probably not be rated too highly, but taken as part of the whole, they would be essential to the story. In moving into the first High Republic Canon show, I imagine the first four episodes were dedicated to setting the plot, showing the follies the Jedi Order is falling into, and how these follies are starting to crack the foundations of the Jedi Order - cracks that will later be seized upon by Darth Sideous to bring the Jedi down.
      Sorry, I rambled a bit, but in not fully knowing what is or is not Canon outside the movies and the TV series, I simply have to wait for the series to finish up before questioning if mistakes were made....

    • @kilran.starwars
      @kilran.starwars  2 месяца назад +1

      @@suscon1140 yeah it is difficult to determine canon from non-canon nowadays. The moment I bring Plagueis into discussion alott of people being Tenebrous too. The only issue with that is Plagueis as a character is solidified in canon because of revenge of the sith however tenebrous wasn’t so I don’t consider him canon. Now applying this to every aspect of Star Wars is very very tedious. It’s a challenge the writers of the Acolyte could overcome by adding those essential elements into canon or just changing everything that has been established and rewriting the slate. The simple answer to me is what canon would be sw episodes 1-9, the clone wars, rebels, Disney stand alone movies and + series and the recent games.

      I am kind of expecting either Tenebrous or Plaguies to end up being Qimir's master in the end. From bringing the "outside canon elements" into canon, it may be better for it to be Tenebrous from a long-term storytelling perspective, but I think it will be Plaguies. With the twins probably being a Force Diad (spelling?), I could see it putting Plaguies on the path - or perhaps more on the path - to seeking eternal life and the mysticism side of the Dark Side if the Force with relecs, spells, etc. especially considering what he may have learned from the witches. I imagine if Qimir stated he "collects" people, his master does too. This could have led to a deal being struck between Mother A and Plaguies to allow Mother K to become pregnant. As with Sith Lords, anyone entering into an agreement with them is usually manipulated by them and ends up paying the price. With the Sith actually being the ones behind the fire, starting it by manipulating those around them - perhaps even entering into another contract with Mother K to replace Mother A and allow Mother K to now lead the coven not realizing it would kill Mother A. The further manipulation of the twins put Osha against Mae, keeping them apart until the time is right for the Sith. With all of that in mind, it comes back to Sol. The creator of the Acolyte mentioned watching his character specifically. Is he a Sith? Is he a brother to Qimir? Is Qimir an old apprentice or Acolyte of his? Or is he the real target of Qimir in seeking an Acolyte? It could go many different ways. I do wish they released two episodes at once...waiting for the next one is making Summer go by even faster lol

      Qui Gon was considered one of the most formidable Jedi in lightsaber combat of his time. Qui Gon would have easily beat Qimir. Put some respect on the duel of fates my friend. The jedi killed by Qimir were no bodies by comparison.

      @@NickMartinproductions as a Sith apprentice on his first real field mission (according to a strict interpretation of his conversation with Sidious) Maul did well, but didn't just cut through multiple opponents like Palpatine did against a group of experienced Jedi Masters. You can put that down to inexperience on his part.

    I believe Qimir is or will soon be Darth Plagueis himself. "100 years before the Empire" shown in the opening titles of S01E01 does not have much of a window to see more generations of Sith, anyway.

      I like the dystopian future, because we can criticize the real world as if it were a bossa. Not a very distant galaxy where things happened, ruins that happened here, intolerance towards people and culture tore apart people's understanding, dictatorship driven by the dark side that was based on political power and military coup. This is Star Wars with Jedi and revolutionaries like Casian Andor.

      Timeline wise the novels makes more sense. The rule of two is also super important too to keep consistent 💯 For a casual viewer The Acolyte failed because the characters were terribly written and honestly the episode were cheap full stop. For us on top of that it’s the disservice they have made to the fandom with their lore choices.

      @@kevinfisher5492 😂😂 definitely don’t want to justify her grade school work no way. the goal is to come up with something significantly better than Weinsteins assistant/disney to show the fans can do a better job than someone as incompetent like Lesley. If the community comes out with theories, fanfics and monologues (which I continue to make) better than what Lesley can create I take it as a win. I can confidently say that I’ve come up with ideas that trumps Lesleys which is the goal: a decent Star Wars. One day if Disney cooks consistently great content, it’ll be happy days for us.
