Enjoyed that. As someone who's done a few sticky kits in the past. I'm on the journey to setting up a grain brew system including a Grain father G30 and a few other bits which I'll be documenting my journey on a new channel soon.

Great video fellas, but have you thought about your own podcast? This relaxed style would work really well to discuss a different brewing topic each week. Perfect for people to tune in to whilst driving to work or walking the dog.

I think the 101 format is a great idea ! I didn't know there was such a thing as all grain brewing until the Grainfather caught my eye. My wife made the mistake of getting me a G30 that Christmas. The marriage somehow survived the flooded kitchen, the sticky patio and the blue language when things went ( often ) wrong and I couldn't go brew with anything else now. It is always comforting to see you experts mention the same disasters that came my way !

For a beginner who has just stared and literally just made by first extract kit I find your videos very interesting and helpful

It was a nice change. RUclips takes up a lot of time so something easy to record and get out likely helps you guys.

    Thoroughly enjoyed this video 😊
As a newcomer to pressure fermenting, all advice is great for me.
If you plan to make any updated videos on pressure transfers, kegerators, flow control disconnects vs flow control taps or the conjunction of both (?) that would be amazing 👍🏾

Water used a headache for me, until I started using Spotless water and got a Murphy's water analysis for both my tap water and Spotless water.
That gave me all the information and confidence to start water treatment.
My tap water is extremely high alkalinity so I mainly use Spotless now, it's like starting with a blank canvas and much cheaper than bottled if you have a local dispensing station. 🍻

I have the same issue with water and have only just discovered spotless!! Really looking forwards to my next brew using it. Might do a Czech lager with just spotless

Never heard of them either. Delighted to find there is a station less than two miles away. Myntap water is so hard I'm surprised it gets through the taps. 😂

Once again I loved your video, this one will go on the list I will give to people that come to brew with me and that are interested in starting doing it themselves.
What I personally would love is a series of videos on recipe development, in baby steps. Where to start, and what steps to make. Of course I have subscribed to your channel, so if you are doing that, I'll see it coming!

Great video gents! I’m mostly an all grain brewer, but I’ll use all three methods. The experience from all grain brewing will make you a better brewer when brewing with extract or beer kits.
Living in the states, I’ll stock up on LME if I find it on sale. It’s nice every once in a while to have a shorter brew day (I fly sparge), not have to clean out a mash tun and deal with 10lb/5kg plus of spent grain.

Really good point, you're so right - learning all the methods certainly does improve your skills in each! Glad you liked the video!

Another excellent and highly interesting video.
I started brewing in 2016 after a big gap from the 1970s and wish I had this information given to me then.
    Well done guys👍👍👍

Great video as as always guys.
Drawing water off for 24 hours only gets rid of chlorine. To get rid of chloramine (which I have) Half a tablet of Sodium metabisulfite is definitely required for a 23 litre batch.

Good shout on the Waitrose Essential Water, it’s the same as Tesco Ashbeck, from Eden Valley (but just 15p more expensive)

Great video, enjoyed the relaxed style. More insight to fermentation under pressure would be useful as to would a guide of how malts interact with each other. Which make good combinations, combinations to avoid etc.

My go-to ‘kill or cure’ back in my student days was a veg samosa and a pint of chocolate milk… Could have done with that the morning after Love & Beer!
I like the fireside chat approach, as others will have undoubtedly said, a series on recipe development would be good, starting off with researching for the style you’re after and what each of the ingredients adds to that style.
Another topic to cover could be training your palate to identify how the beer you’ve brewed compares to the style you intended and if there are any faults in it. Doing the BJCP exam really helps develop both your taste and ability to describe what you are tasting.

Variety is the spice of life and I think that's the same with content, as long as you lot are enjoying what you're putting out though I think it comes through and makes it something I like to watch.
Any chance of seeing more varieties of CGX hops in 2025? Big fan of whirlpooling with them :-)

Tomato juice is my cure, I just love the taste of thick tomato juice and it helps settling the stomach in the process..
That was a very interesting video guys, much appreciated ;-)
One of my favourite brews was the "Wilko Artisan Brewing Chocmeister Stout Kit" but sadly after they went under some time ago now the ones who did take over don't do the kits anymore 😥
Question : is there an essence/kit for making Cream Sherry? I've done Port with the essence but not a Sherry yet.

All this talk about drinking coffee and i didnt see you drink coffee even once. I came for the coffee drinking. Please make a video asap where you actually drink some coffee, not just lead me on the whole time. Maybe you waited till the end to drink it... it would have been cold by then. Not a good choice. Not wise at all. Highly discouraged.
