    Just when you think that Farscape hit the maximum level of crazyness with the roller coaster, this episode comes around the corner. ^^

    Farscape -- the Loony Tunes episode.
    What I like about it is that basically, the writers can do anything with this universe they created -- it can take place in John's head, in space, in time, etc.

    This episode shows that Farscape was not afraid to try anything. Always keeps you on your toes because you have no idea what is coming next. I admire Farscape for being totally unleashed. It didn't always succeed in pulling things off but it was continually entertaining. Nothing entertains me like Farscape.

    This episode was a full blown tribute to animator Chuck Jones. The artist who drew all the old Warner Bros cartoons. Shortly before this episode was made Chuck Jones died or was dying ( I cannot remember the timing ) and the whole crew jumped on this.

    A brilliantly bonkers episode that acts as a palette cleanser because of what's coming up.

    Notice when John says “god, I love science fiction!” That he’s staring at the lower right corner of the screen, that’s where the “Sci Fi” channel ‘bug’ was (a little superimposed logo in the corner of the screen), one of many fourth wall breaks in this episode

    Loved this episode. I always thinks it sums up what goes through John’s mind pretty well.
    Was really good getting to see your reaction to it. ^^

    I just happened to watch this episode at my dad's house and he came home to find his adult son lying on the floor laughing his ass off, so I made him watch it and he laughed his ass off too...

    We *needed* this after last episode.
    They went all out for this one.

    The outtakes for this episode on the gag reel were BRILLIANT, and really highlight just how funny Anthony Simcoe is.
    Incidentally, this entire episode is a love letter to Chuck Jones, (who gets a shout-out) specifically Wile E. Coyote, with a touch of Bugs Bunny. If you've watched a lot of the classic Loony Toons shorts the gags make a lot more sense.

    I remember the first time I saw Revenging Angel - the weirdness and wackiness of the episode just blew my mind. It's just a burst of creativity where there were no boundaries whatsoever, and it paid off. (And, let's face it - there had been some really wild episodes prior to that, too, but this one definitely stands out!)

    Farscape would try anything. Strangely, it often worked better than it had any right to.

    Probably Just the THIRD Most Weirdest episode believe it Or Not, in the Show's entire run Imo- Can't recall the Other 2 named episodes ahead of it, but without resorting to spoilers: A Psychedelic Van & the phrase "Boogie Or Die" should give a good hint!!!

      Haven't had the van yet, but "Boogie or die!" was in season 2's "Wont Get Fooled Again"

    Not a General, like he was told to pretend.
    Not a Farmer, like he wanted.
    But a Captain. Ka D'Argo.

    When I first watched Farscape, it was on broadcast television and due to my circumstances at the time I missed several episodes in this season... essentially enough that I didn't know John was twinned and living separately on both Talyn and Moya. For that reason that last episode really cut me hard and left me wondering how the series could continue without him, then came this episode with John alive and playing out some looney tunes. It was a wild ride.

    I think the generation(s) that did not experience Loony Tunes as children won't get this episode.

    Personally I never liked this episode. It always felt like an obligatory and unnecessary filler between the Talyn episodes.
    Feel free to change my mind..

    • @Kovass1
      @Kovass1 2 года назад +2

      The Talyn crew was definitely stronger and was the A plot through the split crew episodes but this episode is still entertaining as hell.

    • @matthewcollins4773
      @matthewcollins4773 2 года назад +2

      You're sort of right. The Talyn stuff is stronger, but the Moya stuff is more important than just filler. It's Aeryn-less Chrichton bored and frustrated (and as this episode shows, D'Argo is not in a good way either).
