1. This was the first AC game I played and it brought me into the franchise. 2. The glitches in this game are hilarious. 3. I know he's not Ezio, but Connor needs more credit as a character.
Ac2 was my first game that got me into the franchise and I'm not even disappointed I'll literally take these games to my grave and have an Assassin's Burial
Agreed. Not everyone needs to be like Ezio. Connor is a very serious protagonist like Altair. And I like that. I understand how Connor feels as well. He is actually a very kind protagonist
Okay, so I am just going to say it, and I hope that I'm not the only one who thinks this. But THIS is how AC 3 should have been remastered. Just like the Ezio Collection and AC Black Flag and Rogue. There was no need to change the graphics or the color scheme. All the game really needed was a transition to a 1080p clarity and improved controls to be adapted for the fourth generation consoles. Literally nothing more had to be done, and Shirrako has literally just proven that less change is SO much better. I mean, look at the detail on this game when it's improved. It is absolutely insane and I fucking love it. This game was my favorite of the entire AC franchise, and it shames me to see that the remaster was handled so poorly by Ubisoft. Nice job, man. You did the impossible and you brought back one of the rare marvels of Assassin's Creed back into my life and I thank you for that.
I just started the whole franchise after figuring out I have this and Unity. After getting to the epilogue missions on Ac3, I'm having trouble but enjoying the gameplay. I hate the naval combat tho
I honestly cannot stop loving Haytham. I know he´s the main antagonist later, but having read Forsaken along with his charisma, I just can´t be mad at him. He´s so, purely, extremely badass, that is no wonder even Ziio fell for him.
I still don't understand why the son of master assassin Edward Kenway's son haytham kenway turned out to be a templer and fight for there cause which is destruction of humanity and his son connor kenway kills him
@@prithijoysur3913 Haytham was deceived as a child, after his father was killed by the Templars in an ambush at his London mansion. An undercover Templar posing as a neighbor and friend of the Kenways told him, falsely, that the assassins are to blame for humanity's wars and conflicts, and that the Templars are actually the ones trying to protect the world. However, Haytham, as he grows up, discovers that in reality both sides have their good and bad things, but he continues to be part of the Templars because he believes that a world order can truly be achieved for everyone, although he admits that in reality; throughout his life, he felt like both a Templar and an assassin, always somewhere in the middle. Haytham's story is quite complex, as well as his character himself, it is fascinating. But, I only told you a small part, there are many more things that happened that made Haytham decide to stay on the Templar side.

@@omega28bit I get your point, but there are many way older games, than this one, which are way better. I actually think PS1/PS2 games were the best. What I'm trying to say, it's fair to judge the game for bad controls or repetetive nature, because there were games without that problems released way before 2007
Probably just me but when I first played this game I didn't know Haytham was a Templar and I absolutely loved his character and was so like heart broken when I found out. Lol but I do love this game all the same. 🙂💕

I just looked at the girls and hoped to get married with one of those people who still practices this tradition.
The assassin's legacy. I think in the corridors of power these dangerous kinds of orders are issued in a much more vague way, passed down two or three levels of command before they're given to the assassin 😨😨😨

Which is is ironic, because I believe that Haytham saw the potential of Shay Cormac in Connor, but because Connor was not in any way conflicted about the path of the Assassins and knew exactly what he wanted, which was to protect his village, there was no way that Haytham was going to corrupt him the way he did Shay. Conversely, Shay saw the darker more radical side of the Assassins, so there was a very good reason WHY Shay was able to be corrupted by Haytham. Connor, on the other hand, has not seen the darker side of the Assassins. He became like Ezio, and rebuilt the Assassin Brotherhood after it was decimated by the Templars, but also because of Achilles' arrogance and stupidity. Not unlike Altair reforming the Assassins from Al-Mualim and Abbas.
@@nateborie6329 I can imagine that will take place in Australia (Part 1 - Shay vs. Arno & Connor) 1793, Connor hurried to Sydney Cove only to be surrounded by thousands of guards, all armed. Moving on to general melee attacks, Connor unleashed havoc on the New South Wales Corps. During his confrontation, he was level-headed and defeated thousands of opponents with his tomahawk, disarming and dodging attacks from many directions. He could strike with exactitude before his opponent could react, and subdued individuals twice his size. With reinforcements now closing in around him, the Native American assassin suddenly realised his physical prowess, speed and endurance were enhanced as though some mystical powers overtook him. He took care then to keep each opponent on the back foot by spreading his moves between them, and in this way he escaped major damage. By now Connor had drawn sufficient power to unleash special properties in combat. By trial, he found that he could not only dash in super speed, but his strength was amplified. And in those few seconds, he was able to dash from one to the next, vanquishing each in a single blow. By now he felt more comfortable in his abilities against foes such as these, and resolved to save this miracle of combat for stiffer opposition. After his fight was won, he heard sounds of grunts and gasps. His first inclination was to drop over a rail to the streets of Sydney Cove below, yet he noticed two guards patrolling at a farther balcony, and stayed his hand to look for a route that he might challenge them where they stood. He slowly moved to see Shay mercilessly punching and kicking a man whose hands were tied above him. An outhouse section stood to one side, its door ablaze. Shay left the man, huffily. From its roof he had height enough to run out on a wall and spring away to grab a wooden beam over the heads of the two sentries. As one moved away, Connor chose the moment to drop down and finish him with two slashes of his blade. The second stood unaware as he crept up behind and slashed just once. With them dead, Connor severed the rope that bound his hands, dropping him to the ground. “Qui es tu?” “What?” Connor wondered. “Who are you?” “I’m an assassin. Connor.” “Assassin? You appear to be a Native.” “I am. Who are you?” asked Connor. “Arno Dorian. I am an assassin or at least I was before the brotherhood banished me.” “What happened?” “It’s a long story…” “BRACE YOURSELF!” Shay shouted while sliding from a zip line. Caught suddenly off balance, Connor suffered a kick in return. Alone with space to manoeuvre, Connor got up and kicked him in the groin area sending Shay staggering. Shay attacked immediately, but Connor blocked and countered all of his attacks and he kicked Connor aside. He collected himself and Shay tried again, failed to land a good hit and Arno kicked Shay to the ground. "Who are you?" asked Shay. “I was trained by Achilles. Now step aside.” “Achilles? I should have known Achilles would never learn. In that case, you will make a good target.” "You joined the templars. Achilles told me you were once an assassin who joined the templars. Now you became my father's puppet." “You're the one whom the poor sod I killed in Versailles mentioned.” Shay sighed. “Killed? Versailles? Quoi? You? You killed my father?” Arno realised. “What of it? I wouldn’t just cry over a business that has been concluded, if I were you.” Shay rebuffed. “And you sparked the whole French Revolution and made me lose everything.” “You catch on quick, boy. You killed Weeks, Gist and James Cook." Shay recalled. "I have the foggiest idea about what you're talking about." "It doesn't matter. What matters is that I made a mistake in sparing Achilles. Die, assassin!" Without recourse, Shay leapt at Arno and Connor. Shay's fighting style was as every bit as powerful and deadly as he was when killing the assassins. With plenty of anger in him this time, Arno tried whatever he could against the man who murdered his father. Although an expert fighter in the assassin techniques, Shay’s expertise and weaponry prove too much to cope with for Arno. Connor's rapid healing was a useful asset that kept him throughout the whole events from the American Revolution to Hawkesbury and Nepean Wars proved more of a match for Shay, but even he could not withstand the fury of the templar. Unlike other templars who were killed by the use of stealth, this one was to be facing each other in hand to hand combat. Unlike Haytham who held back for unclear reasons, Connor faced a templar who was willing to fight for real without hesitations. He released berserk darts from his firearm. Connor was gripped in the lash of the darts' effects. Snarling and growling, Connor chased Shay and Arno who avoided his blind rage. A misdirect hit from Connor sent Shay to the ground. Judging by the injuries, they weren't too severe as similar to Haytham and Connor, Shay could heal at swift rate. He dealt a hard blow to the possessed Connor, knocking him to the floor. As the effects wore off, unlike his victims who died, Connor went in a state of fatigue. However he couldn't afford to relax or get caught in Shay's hidden blades. “I feel nauseous.” Arno jumped in to cover Connor who was in a recovery state. Connor tried to clear his head from its contents. The French assassin took out his cutlass and the Irish templar took out his sword, both clashed. Arno vowed. “You will pay for killing my father.” “Killed him? I was doing France a huge service.” “So many casualties are lumping on my country, far greater than the last damage you did.” Arno reminded. “I was merely bringing order and balance.” Shay was not touched. Connor bounded to his side, recovered. Both Arno and Connor were formidable assassins with plenty of weapons and mystical powers to fight with, but Shay's unnatural strength and powers still gave him the edge in combat. As the three men battled, Arno initially remained on the defensive, blocking Shay's amazingly fast attacks, but eventually he, deciding to go on the offensive, followed the templar's movements closely enough to catch his arm and land a blow. Although Shay was barely cut, Arno had demonstrated whatever he learned with Bellec. Undeterred, Connor jumped in and beat Shay who sneered. “Achilles taught you well. You must have had a good teacher. And you can follow him to Hell.” From his rifle rolled a useful gift: a fragmentation grenade with a powerful blast radius. "Why? What have you got against Achilles?" "Achilles was always a failed mentor who murdered his followers." Shay pointed out. "Achilles may have made mistakes, but he never murdered his followers." Connor rebuffed. "Is it not murder to send ill-prepared assassins like you to their demise?" This brought no answer. In furious sequence, Shay fired three grenades in rapid succession at Connor who tried to steer a course between the grenades. They heard rapid ticking as a grenade bounced towards him. "Take this," Shay growled. “Watch out!” Arno shouted. Arno and Connor dodged aside from the blast. The grenades exploded. And in so doing it inflicted damage that Connor could not long sustain, leaving his health at its lowest. Connor had at least the miracle of the swift healing with which to undo such hurt as he suffered, if more than one took its toll, but he somehow sensed he would need such miracles to better purpose. He flipped himself back on his feet and drew a wary path between the remaining grenades, nearly obscured in dazzling clouds of dust as the explosions wore off. His assassin's instinct signalled him to avoid Shay's incoming attack with his hidden blade and grabbed him by his head. Shay grabbed Connor from behind in the hopes of restraining him. Connor lifted his legs up, gathered every ounce of strength and crashed his feet to the ground, dropping Shay onto the ground. Connor smashed Shay's head on the table before smashing a glass bottle on his head. "You should have joined the templar." Shay insisted. "Even if you were a templar, you had some sense of honour. Achilles told me you rendered Arno an orphan. Where's that sense of honour in that? I am an orphan, you must be an orphan too. Arno is an orphan." “How dare you speak the word orphan to me?” Shay huffed.
@@nateborie6329 (Part 2 - Shay vs. Arno & Connor) Panting hard, with a deft thrust Arno plunged the berserk date onto the templar's neck. Caught in a paroxysm of madness and rage, Shay went on a destructive rampage. The two assassins avoided Shay who was sweeping his sword crazily. This drew fully half his strength. The rogue assassin was stilled for a moment, and teetered on collapse. However, his recovery was swift. Connor closed in on Shay to try combat one-on-one. No crude fighter he was; the templar blocked expertly and swung his sword in swift reply. Hidden blades jutted out from Shay’s sleeves. Connor’s assassin’s instincts signalled him to counter the latter’s hidden blades with his. Arno took a chair and tried to smash it onto Shay who avoided it. He kicked Shay in the groin, causing him to falter again. It was undignified but effective. Connor grabbed his opponent and smashed him against a wooden fence. The Irish swordsman closed in from behind, and Connor was knocked heavy blows as he attempted to block. A boot kicked out. He could not afford to be caught close to Shay, and rolled aside as the sword crashed down. Agility was his surest defence. Connor tried his best to cause his stamina to wear off. Shay's skill and finesse as well as those of Arno’s are equal to each other. Shay pressed the attack as hard as he could. Arno held no such qualms and gave a kick to the groin. Arno gave another to the face and the final kick was to the head. Shay still proved to be a fast and formidable opponent, but Arno was always faster and his skills in battle surpassed the rogue assassin. Connor punched Shay in the face. Shay scored with a punch to the gut and a follow through punch to the face, but Arno returned blow with a high kick, forcing his foe to defend. Arno hit a right jab to the murderer of his father and followed through with a left hook to the face that knocked him to the ground. He fought back as well as he was able. Arno seemed never to gain advantage before his opponent lunged fast to assault him from behind. To single one of the assassins out, Shay fired a dart at Arno, causing him to feel dizzy. “Hey… w…watch… out…” “Arno!” called Connor. Arno dropped onto the ground, sleeping. Perhaps to momentarily grant him enough time and space to finish Connor. Shay seemed inexhaustible and durable. He could not hope to hold him at bay. Shay moved nimbly as Connor launched the attack, and once more railed on the stricken assassin. Connor recalled the berserk dart and avoided them. He caught one of them and stabbed him again. As the templar went into a maddened state, he thrust and slashed furiously in the wrong direction. Frustrated by his attempts falling short, Shay looked about and saw the carts full of hay. He quickly retreated and hid inside one of the carts. Eagle Vision was a great asset to help him spot where his foe was. A whistle called him. As much as he didn’t want to fall into the trap as with those who fell to the hidden blades, Connor approached with caution. Before he fell prey to his enemy’s hidden blades, he sensed his stalker emerging from it and grabbed Shay’s wrists before dropping him to the ground. He had already learned how much he had come to depend on his weapons, and a reckless approach would not do here. Out of the blue, he quickly hid inside another haystack and quickly tried to make sure he was successful in his attempts. Mere child’s play perhaps; perhaps this was a game after all. This time knowing what the outcome was, Connor quickly got to the haystack. Any mistake for Connor would be terminal. Shay once more got out to grab Connor, this time he tried to stab his neck. In his distress, Connor raised his forearm to prevent himself from being killed, grabbed Shay before smashing him against a table, a wall and throwing him to the ground. Drowned in his dreams, Arno swirled to the depths and recalled Shay murdering his father, his time in prison, the French Revolution and his banishment from the brotherhood. Strange whispering voices and half-human cries filled Arno’s senses. Arno got up, his body felt numb. “How did you… no fair! I killed assassins like this, but you? What are you?” “I am an assassin like my grandfather and my ancestors before me.” Connor declared. “I have underestimated you. I’m a master in stealth and hand to hand combat. No more sleeping darts or berserk darts? I never… I never ever felt insulted in my life. No assassin could have bested me. Not even pitiful, dull Achilles.” He was about to check for his pouches and grunted with anger since his tactics were failing. Shay fired his two flintlock pistols. Smoke bombs were the very least he had in his disposal. He used it to escape when under fire or to distract the templar and Connor found this opportunity to beat him down. Before Connor was about to finish him, he threw a multitude of grenades, forcing the Native American to find solid obstacles to avoid the explosion. Connor fired an arrow at Shay who avoided it. A shéng biāo impaled Shay's right arm, pulling him towards him. Shay fell to the ground, triggering a line of explosions. Grenades perhaps. Somewhere else in Port Jackson, Stephane and his allies helped Djarrjuntjun in the eradication of the convicts and British Army, defending the Aborigines. With their warriors’ ardour, they launched a furious assault against a group of slave traders. They had cut them effortlessly. Clipper signalled Duncan to kill the last group of slave traders and Deborah severed the ropes, freeing the Aboriginal slaves. “Oh, thank you, you are very kind.” an Aborigine woman smiled while tears came out of her eyes. “Yes, we, the Aborigines owe you.” a man with grey beard offered. “Our job is much more crucial than gratitude.” said Clipper. “How many slaves will be free?” asked Deborah. “That is yet to be answered. Connor is doing his best.” Djarrjuntjun promised. “Were you a slave before you became an assassin?” asked Stephane. “No, but my village was burnt down since my childhood. And I wanted to show them what it is to bring death to my family, my people, my home!” “You’re not alone. We will help you find him soon enough. For now, we got to work on freeing the slaves.” Stephane placed a hand on Djarrjuntjun’s shoulder. “You will do that?” “We helped Connor, though it turned out nothing went well in the end.” Stephane reminisced. “What do you mean?” asked Djarrjuntjun. “There were slaves and his people were gone. We will ensure yours don’t fall the same way as them.” Jacob explained. “And you helped?” “Connor fought against slavery and brought them to Australia.” said Jacob. “Arabanoo betrayed my people by siding with the invaders.” Djarrjuntjun felt upset. “Well, on the plus side, we freed the slaves and we eradicated those convicts.” said Deborah. Believing the explosions would end him, Shay emerged from the smoke, his robes burnt and in tatters plus his hair was now loosened, revealing it to be shoulder length. “I can’t believe it. How did I end up like this? I threw grenades only for me to be dragged into them?” “How is this possible?” Connor was dumbstruck by his survival. It was a miracle that he survived the explosion. “I hate… I… hate…”
@@nateborie6329 (Part 3 - Shay vs. Arno & Connor) A multitude of grenades came Connor’s way and the fire was getting hot. Seeing that grenades and darts were wasted, anger overtook him. Shay stabbed at Connor, who dodged. Confounded by the speed of his victim, the brute struck solid stone, striking sparks; the right hidden blade drove into the wall and became stuck. The Native American assassin saw his chance. He moved swiftly behind and rained blows on the stunned man, doubled over and suddenly helpless. Arno got up, groggily. The right hidden blade became blunt and it snapped to shards. As Shay closed in from behind and suddenly loomed close, Connor rolled aside just in time. As before, but this time the left hidden blade became stuck in the ground. Now Connor rolled behind, and paused for a fraction to allow Arno to do the honours. The second hidden blade fell to the ground. Seeing they were now useless, Shay dropped the braces or gauntlets to the ground. Blinded by rage and aggression, Shay felt all of his weapons were completely spent, forcing him to drop them. This time, his templar sword was the only weapon he had left. Connor and Arno took out their swords. Neither of them could last against each other. Shay became increasingly irritated. “Why did you kill my father?” Arno demanded. “I HAD IT. YOU, ASSASSINS HAVE BEEN OBSTRUCTIONS TO MY GOALS. YOU, ASSASSINS, CAN NEVER GIVE UP?!” Shay, utterly confident that he would best the two assassins easily, started his sword duelling. Connor was caught off-guard by the power of the blow, which jarred his wrists and shoulders and nearly disarmed him. Shay used Connor's momentary lack of composure to attack him, though Arno managed to defend his newfound ally. Ducking under two savage slashes, he stabbed at Shay's abdomen before flicking his blade up, trying to spear Shay through the throat. Shay only barely managed to block, and both combatants momentarily broke off. Connor realised that until this duel, he and Shay had never truly fought as equals, Arno would capitulate or Shay would hold back. They fought back and forth, with Arno taking a defensive stance against Shay's overwhelming offense. As he fended off Shay's series of attacks, he danced around the templar’s defences, testing their limits. Shay taunted Arno. Shay's taunted, especially his father’s death and his failure to save France, enraged Arno, who ramped up the intensity of his attack. Connor continued to block and counter-attack, which broke Shay's momentum and forced him onto the defensive for the first time. Arno and Connor began to steadily gain ground while Shay fell back. “Shay, why did you kill my father?” This brought no answer. Connor watched for Haytham's enforcer to rise as he kept up the assault, then moved away to set the sequence again. Connor patiently manoeuvred to execute the trap again and again, each time luring the enraged foe to his pattern of weakness. Soon enough he sensed a chance to use the tomahawk a second time. As the three injured men battled near exhaustion, Connor kicked the hobbled man a third time in the groin and punched him in the face. Shay struggled to get up and tried to punch Connor. Arno used up his last amount of energy to tackle Shay to the ground. The Native assassin sank injured and exhausted to his knees. At a moment it seemed he was beaten to the point of death. With the last of his strength he struck him, then flipped, hung off the neck and stabbed fast and threw himself clear. Arno ultimately stabbed Shay with the hidden blade. As the two assassins cornered him, Arno punched the injured man in the face, sending him sprawling across the ground. They approached the incapacitated man only to briefly fall on his knees; Shay became utterly maddened by their utter disregard and underestimation of his goals. With Shay wounded, Connor moved in for questioning.

The first assassin's creed game I've played on Xbox 360.. I was like 6 or so when I beat this. That's wild as hell
This was my introduction to Assassins creed world and it is my second best Ac game after Black Flag.
Back when Ubisoft actually cared about the Gaming community and did good games
AC 1, AC 2 , AC 2 BROTHERHOOD, AC 2 REVELATIONS, AC III, AC IV. best series in AC.

Brotherhood and revelations aren't called AC2. Best series in AC makes no sense.
Why are people suddenly praising AC1? It's not a good game

Wonder what would happen if Achilles and Haytham put aside the past and unite both orders to solve the issues of the colonies
Yeah. Shame that didn't happen, the parts where Connor and Haytham worked together were my favourite

I can imagine that will take place in Australia
(Part 1 - Shay vs. Arno & Connor)
1793, Connor hurried to Sydney Cove only to be surrounded by thousands of guards, all armed.
“Qui es tu?”
“What?” Connor wondered.
“Who are you?”
“I’m an assassin. Connor.”
“Assassin? You appear to be a Native.”
“I am. Who are you?” asked Connor.
“Arno Dorian. I am an assassin or at least I was before the brotherhood banished me.”
“What happened?”
“It’s a long story…”
“BRACE YOURSELF!”
Shay shouted while sliding from a zip line.
Now step aside.”
“Achilles? I should have known Achilles would never learn. In that case, you will make a good target.”
"You joined the templars. Achilles told me you were once an assassin who joined the templars. Now you became my father's puppet."
“You're the one whom the poor sod I killed in Versailles mentioned.” Shay sighed.
“Killed? Versailles? Quoi? You? You killed my father?” Arno realised.
“What of it? I wouldn’t just cry over a business that has been concluded, if I were you.” Shay rebuffed.
“And you sparked the whole French Revolution and made me lose everything.”
“You catch on quick, boy. You killed Weeks, Gist and James Cook." Shay recalled.
"I have the foggiest idea about what you're talking about."
"It doesn't matter. What matters is that I made a mistake in sparing Achilles. Die, assassin!"
Without recourse, Shay leapt at Arno and Connor.
“I feel nauseous.”
Arno jumped in to cover Connor who was in a recovery state. Connor tried to clear his head from its contents. The French assassin took out his cutlass and the Irish templar took out his sword, both clashed. Arno vowed.
“You will pay for killing my father.”
“Killed him? I was doing France a huge service.”
“So many casualties are lumping on my country, far greater than the last damage you did.” Arno reminded.
And you can follow him to Hell.”
From his rifle rolled a useful gift: a fragmentation grenade with a powerful blast radius.
"Why? What have you got against Achilles?"
"Achilles was always a failed mentor who murdered his followers." Shay pointed out.
"Achilles may have made mistakes, but he never murdered his followers." Connor rebuffed.
"Is it not murder to send ill-prepared assassins like you to their demise?"
This brought no answer.
Arno is an orphan."
“How dare you speak the word orphan to me?” Shay huffed.
@@nateborie6329
(Part 2 - Shay vs. Arno & Connor)
Panting hard, with a deft thrust Arno plunged the berserk date onto the templar's neck.
“Hey… w…watch… out…”
“Arno!” called Connor.
What are you?”
“I am an assassin like my grandfather and my ancestors before me.” Connor declared.
“I have underestimated you. I’m a master in stealth and hand to hand combat. No more sleeping darts or berserk darts? I never… I never ever felt insulted in my life. No assassin could have bested me. Not even pitiful, dull Achilles.”
He was about to check for his pouches and grunted with anger since his tactics were failing.
And I wanted to show them what it is to bring death to my family, my people, my home!”
“You’re not alone. We will help you find him soon enough. For now, we got to work on freeing the slaves.” Stephane placed a hand on Djarrjuntjun’s shoulder.
“You will do that?”
“We helped Connor, though it turned out nothing went well in the end.” Stephane reminisced.
“What do you mean?” asked Djarrjuntjun.
“There were slaves and his people were gone. We will ensure yours don’t fall the same way as them.” Jacob explained.
“And you helped?”
“Connor fought against slavery and brought them to Australia.” said Jacob.
I threw grenades only for me to be dragged into them?”
“How is this possible?”
Connor was dumbstruck by his survival. It was a miracle that he survived the explosion.
“I hate… I… hate…”

(Part 3 - Shay vs. Arno & Connor)
A multitude of grenades came Connor’s way and the fire was getting hot.
YOU, ASSASSINS, CAN NEVER GIVE UP?!”
Shay, utterly confident that he would best the two assassins easily, started his sword duelling.
“Shay, why did you kill my father?”
This brought no answer.
Never understood why Shay mentions Connor during Rogue even though Achille didn’t know him yet.
