    This is amazing. This is a true art piece. It's like an amazingly beautiful and abstract painting for your ears.
    I believe he's not caring about commercial success, but instead caring about the actual art form called music. Which IS THE path of righteousness for artists.
    Art isn't for money. Art is for art.
    In that way Ben Monder is a successful artist.
    Successful artist in the true way.

    A brilliant demonstration of guitar virtuosity, recorded on the day of David Bowie's death. Monder contributed wonderfully powerful guitar to "Blackstar"...

    No. This is really nice playing, great atmosphere. This is not for everybody, so please don't hate; trust me, there is brilliance going on here. If you don't like, cool. I like it. He controls it very well, and gets what he wants, it is actually pretty amazing.

    Another great guitarist who does not get nearly the credit he should.....once again proving in the music business, it’s not how good you are but who is chosen to be promoted!

      Both promotion and skill are important.

      You have to think sometimes wheter the artist wants that kind of exposure! Ben monder is doing this for a living yes, but mostly as an art expression.

    •  7 лет назад +1

      That sound is being picked up from an onstage mic. If it was just the amp mic you likely wouldn't hear them. But yeah, why not noiseless switches?

    I always get put off watching a guitarist stuff ear plugs in his ears before he enters mine.

    • @alangross4431
      @alangross4431 8 лет назад

      If they need a Full volume sound check, they could do one before recording video, when using earplugs. Otherwise small headset. They are doing a nervous habit, possibly, but it's rude, like scratching, maybe. Your earwax is crumbling on me (?) Meanwhile, I need to get busy doing something nearly this GREAT !!

    • @PurpleHazeNr10
      @PurpleHazeNr10 6 лет назад

      Maybe the earplug got loose?.. And I think that this was shot during a long set, so how could've they prepared for it beforehand?

      Wobbly: since you are insulting & stupid, you get the same answer:
      Yup, I have to agree with you & your taste or else that means you can insult me. My opinion = troll but your opinion = genius world view . Congrats to your tiny ego. You have no class to speak about & therefore don't know what it is. Real musicians don't say stupid stuff, bCuz all composers have their own tastes. GROW UP
