I had a very rough day at work and this helps me get better and this brings back such great memories of when I use to be a 90s kid and an early 2000s kid and I am a new subscriber as well:).
Had tonsillectomy on Oct 8, everything went well. On the fourth day, I had a little bleed on the left and right side where the tonsils used to be by the uvula. On the seventh day, on Tuesday, my left s ide of the throat had a bleed of about 1/4 cup. I managed to stop it with ice water and went to the ER. Since the bleeding stopped, they sent me home. On the ninth day, Thursday, the same place started to bleed again but with less blood. It took 2 minutes to stop it. Once again on Friday, the tenth day, it happened again. The ENT said as long as I can stop the bleeding, what am I doing wrong? I am staying hydrated and drinking water with ice non-stop.
That’s awful!! I know we were warned when the scabs fall off as the throat heals you can experience bleeding. Keep resting!! Don’t overdue it. Praying you recover and the bleeding stops!!
hey Jodie! plz tell me about the anesthesia.... Im so badly afraid if I was in anesthesia and I talk really shit that would be terrible for me. in howmuch time she got recovered form it. also lots of wishes to both of u. thans a lot
It’s quick!! Honestly you do not remember anything usually except being wheeled into the room for the procedure. I have had it and my daughter had it for this surgery and it’s scary to think about but you’ll do amazing. The procedure is very very fast - you are groggy for a few hours after but she was talking and awake an hour after surgery!!! We left the hospital a few hours after her procedure!
hi, I’m getting my tonsils removed in a couple of days.. It’s so scary the thought of being put to sleep for surgery, I just want to know am I going to be awake a bit or feel anything during the surgery.. I’ve never been put to sleep before & it’s actually pretty scary thinking of it.. like how fast do you go to sleep,
You won’t remember a thing! You’ll fall asleep very quick, and wake up in recovery. Prayers and well wishes for a speedy recovery. Make sure you have all the ice packs and meds you need - and get plenty of rest!
They do say no straws because the suction can pull the scabs before they are ready to fall off…my daughter did use a straw (very carefully) and drank from side of her mouth (rather than from front) - if that makes sense!!
Thankssss, I ordered that face icepack, should be here today, I'm currently on day 6 recovery and has been the worst day by far, the throat pain and ear pain is something iv never expected before
hello, how’re you feeling now. i’m on day 8, tho. i’m better but the pain is still there, not being able to eat properly and feeling like something’s stuck
