As for what to do with this one well besides donating it to me lol I would just clean her up and run it. That seems like a great truck to use for running parts and running round town. Get the old girl breathing better, eh. Gotta do the carb kit on the Quadrajet so she only drinks what she needs, replace the fan belts so they don't shoot off when its most inconvenient, do the UJs on the driveshaft so it don't pop one and give you a wild ride and a box of neutrals on a wet night and lastly replace the upper ball joint and control arm on the RF. I wouldn't want to spend lots of cash on some good looking wheels or suspension until I saw how well it came up after a pressure washing. If high pressure water dont make her look better, then stick with the steelies and poverty caps. If she looks (as we suspect she might) pretty good, then I'm more inclined to go with a period (or period look) polished alloy rim (something like the Trojan / Jellybean (depends what you know them as....could also be called 5-slot alloys or Indy 5-slot), or a set of Turbo-style alloys or maybe even the chromed steel-rim Blade), along with white-letter tyres, coz that will really make her pop. I'm not a GM guy but that old truck has potential, however all those little things add up in cost. I know you have several trucks so if it were me I'd do minimum to get it road worthy and it would make a great farm truck. 8 ft. beds are great for hauling stuff
Great Pick Mortske! looking forward to see what you do with er!
I would restore it, but that's just me. 😀 I would like to find one in that good of shape. Kool find 😎.
Nice Truck
If I had it I would fix it and drive it👍👍
Wicked lil truck Id use it to haul parts!
Love these, good looking trucks. I'd just do what it needs, clean it up and keep it stock. I don't mean make it a showpiece but just make a good driver out of it and drive the snot out of it.
Right on
Another great episode! Push it in and drive it out in a single episode. Big thumbs up!
Thanks Mark!
Love this truck, for sale???
Everything's For Sale... For the RIGHT PRICE $!$!$!$!
For sale! Not On Sale!
Monday off work, Irished up coffee and a new Mortske upload. Like Travis Tritt sang, Its A Great Day To Be Alive. I'm with you man, I am not a fan of those optional boxes. Goad to see one of them Hefty Gals didn't get to the roof on this one.
No thicc gals in this one! Just meths
Can’t wait!
First timer here .like what I see..keep up the good work oh yeah let's keep the truck
Thanks for coming Terry!
Ol' Duffy was already under the GMC changing the oil and inspecting the undercarriage.... That boy doesn't fool around!!!!!!
Pointing out them undercarriage issues I found later!
Great job! Banging on the door, reminds me of the song, “you keep on knocking but you can’t come in.”
Cheech and Chong version!
Just found your channel today this is my first video and I like what I see ill have to give a sub and start to stay tuned in from now on!
Hey thanks a bunch for watching and subbing!
My dad would always leave the keys in the ash tray in his 72 k10
I checked everywhere for them!
My dad had a 72 Chevy he bought new. Owned it from 72 to 78....wish he still had it.
Dang a 1 owner would be cool to find!
Maybe a 6.0 into a Chevette?
I'm on board with that idea.
No Vettes on this channel!
@@MortskeRepair maybe a 6.0L powered riding mower?
@@erikrunas226 Haha I'll put it on the to-do list!
Bless you for saving another 70. Love them. #longlivethelongbeds
pressure wash it for sure
Thanks for the hot wire tip! Finally able to get mine started
Awesome
Get running well, get rid of the fungus, drive it..
Do they make pills to get rid of that?
@@MortskeRepair
They're blue and oval shaped with "Ford" written on them.
The dog just wanted to ride, didn't care about all that other stuff. Those tool boxes were pretty common on the early 70"s models. I had a '72 dodge with one it came in pretty handy. Good video.
