It takes two minutes to change plugs and coils on the driver side but the passenger side is a completely different story luckily my misfire is in cylinder 2 this time tho
Thanks for the video, i have some symptoms like yours, at idle the rpm drop and bounce back, hesitation when accelerating, car shaking when at idle...but no check engine light. How to diagnose and determine the faulty one?
You got lucky it was that side of the motor because the passenger side sucks to get too. I replaced all the spark plugs yesterday and I still have the same issue. I guess its time for coils. I dont know which coil it is and I don't have time to unbolt the intake and rebolt it back on three times to figure it out. I guess I'm buying 6 coils.
I have a P0300 new spark plugs and new coils, wont give me a specific cilinder, just reads misfire? Also removed catalytic converter for the driver side and cleand it. Any suggestions?
What does a misfire feel like? My 2016 frontier sometimes vibrates when sitting in idle or at a red light/ drops in RPMs to about 550 then bounces back up. Sometimes when I accelerate it will hesitate or tiny jerk. But once the truck gets going it runs smooth.
@@rafiktunangler6190 I ended up taking it to Nissan. They had to relearn the throttle position sensor/throttle body, raising the RPM to about 750. It runs great now but I did notice my MPG drop from 16 to 15. Not huge but every little bit counts lol.
@@kyarakll4os7 i did the relearn by myself, but nothing changed the rpm still drops and bounce back at idle...i suspect a coil but no check engine light came on so far so its hard to locate the faulty one
I have p0300 put new plugs, bew coils, still same thing. Also changed cats oit and its still having that code. Runs good still as long as the engine light is on. If i reset it it runs like crap. And it has a bad exhaust smell like it's dumping fuel. Has new injectors also. And a new fuel pump. And timing chain and guides im stumped now.
Any noises? On this one I eventually sucked cat debris into the motor and bent connecting rods and ruined the motor. Replaced it with one from a wrecker
Pray you don't get a P0301...that one is a bitch to get to. It can be done without taking off the intake plenum, but requires a fair bit of cursing to make it happen.

In my experience it was usually, if not always under load and you can feel the vehicle jerk
Hi, any updates on your problem cause? I have the same symptoms. What did you do?

@@DwayneKenDoItno noise at all and truck runs strong.
Is it dangerous to drive with bad ignition coil
If it's a few days and you take it easy I would think no
It’s not dangerous but you still ruin your cats and then after there’s a whole bunch of problems. Also the cats for these is over 3 thousand dollars.
Can you use different brands of coils?
Yea I have used a couple different aftermarket brands
Hitachi is best
Is this applicable for Pathfinder?
Anything with vq40de motor
How did it shifts?
Looks like it's a manual

Lol oh don't you worry, I've had it since this video.... Pretty quick at taking the intake off already
I gotta do p0301 lol

Loosen the coil and rotate it 180° and pull straight up!
