Great haul. I started with Tang Mi Se Blue as well and love it, but it's tempting to get the whole set. Fun fact: the same adorable glass bottles Yoseka uses for samples are available at Dollar Tree, or at least the one near me. They're in the crafts section, along with slightly taller ones that hold more.
Yoseka is one of my goto stores (along with Goulet and Vanness). Have always had a great experience shopping with them. And yeah I was disappointed with the Hocoro as well: was far smaller than I was expecting. Also, the nib just doesn't seem to want to hold any ink. Picked up a couple of the wooden Pilot Iro-Utsushi dip pens as soon as Yoseka got them in and find them much better to write with.
Lovely video ☺️ Just received my first order from Yoseka 2 days ago, including Tang Mi Se 💚 love the personalized note too, think I'll get the ceramics sample set too!
Yoseka is such a great shop. I love ordering from them, and I hope to visit them in person sometime. LOVE those ceramics inks - thanks for showing those. I haven't tried them yet.
I was at the California Pen Show and found Ian and Scott at Schondsgn, because of you and your love of all things Schondsgn. I told them your enthusiasm for his work got me interested. Yes, I preordered the Monoc.. what a crazy beautiful nib.. and pen. Wow. I also got a pocket 6 in fuchsia. Oh hello. I also am a huge fan of Franklin Christoph and the SIG nibs.. M and F.. tell Audrey that I love her work. Peace and love to you both.
:-D Ian is great, and I'm glad you found some things to love at his table! Video on the Monoc is coming soon. It's real fun! I'll pass it along to Audrey!
1. I got what I take was the first version of the Hocoro, and it was so useless I tossed it. I hope version 2 works better for you. Oh, and it's way cheaper now. 2. That Ming Yellow is a nice, readable hue.
I got the fude nib hocoro recently, I think you will love it! I used it to swatch all my inks and it was very easy to clean, dip in clear water a few time and it’s all clean
@@inkdependence Pottery.. not poets. Sorry for the typo. I hate autocorrect. But the main part of the title: Ming, Sung, etc, are names of various dynasties. Ming ceramics are well known for their bequest blue. Often faked, but occasional the real stuff shows up on antiques roadshow.
I’m nobody in the fountain pen world, but they ALWAYS include a nice note with orders. Terrific shop!
Yeah, it's a great little inclusion, and I know it takes a fair amount of time to add them to the orders.

It's always fun getting cool stuff! Enjoy!
Great Haul.!! I agree, I LOVE Yoseka.!! Their personal notes they put in with our purchase is awesome.! 💕💕
Right? It's a really nice touch.

The sample sets are great. I wish there were more of them, really. As if I need more inks. :-P

They're very cool, and worth a try. I'd also like to get to Yoseka one day.

“Squeeze converter works in a pinch.” 😂
I'm glad someone liked that. :-D
Took me a moment.
That inkcard with the blotter is sooo smart!
Right? It's a good feature.
Love love Yoseka. I may have to get an explorer. I love a good light weight pen.
The Explorer is surprisingly nice. I think it's probably worth the cost.

I hesitated on buying it to put other things in my cart and it sold out again! I'll catch it one day.
Thank you
You're welcome!
So the ceramic inks are named after pottery from different Dynesties.... Mind Qing, Song, etc
Ah, that's interesting.

That’s what I thought they’d said! Pottery glaze is so interesting.
Use that dope washi tape to cover a whole desk for some weird marble vibes
This is a great idea. I can't wait to see your desk once you've done it.
Can the explorer be eye droppered?
I wouldn't do it. The end cap bit on the barrel would probably leak.
Knife? Sorry, inks/pens are cool, but I love the knife (I'm having an orange moment in my life ;-) Brand and blade, please.
Oh, that's a Benchmade Crooked River. It comes in a smaller size, too. It's a great knife.
I found that the problem with those samples is that they led to whole bottles following after them.
That has been known to happen!
