    What features or mechanics from ZZZ would you want added to WuWa?
    I'd love to see characters in the overworld and a weekly reward added to the Illusive Realm first!

      The 2 things I would like to see get added to WuWa from ZZZ is one the weapon crafting system. In ZZZ you can craft all 4 star gacha weapons using resources from weeklies. In WuWa you can only craft a small pool of bad 4 star weapons. Number 2 the weekly bosses in ZZZ don't cost stamina/energy/waveplates whatever they are called. You can only collect rewards from it 3 times a week having them cost stamina is just being an ahole. This isn't a WuWa only issue though looking at you HSR and I think Genshin does the same. Can't think of anything else though. WuWa for me personally has better gameplay and its 1.1 story was better than any of the stories in ZZZ 1.0(IMO).

      I kind of disagree with standard pulls being tied to character level. It sort makes you upgrade character forcibly when you don't want to sometimes.
      However, characters level do need something more to look forward to apart from the new unlocked skill tree. Right now, I fully agree that both UL progression and character level progression feel very empty.
      Lastly, I think it's much better to add standard pulls through events or other sources.

    In the case of Calcharo and Danjin, they did have character-centered content during the CBT period. It’s likely that what happened was when the story was heavily revised due to player feedback, the writers couldn’t find a way to write them back into the plot in time for release. Had there been another CBT, we could have gotten their events back.
    Also, I want to highlight that Lingyang gets a follow up of sorts to his story quest. If you restore the Dim Forest and hang up all the moons, a day later you can start a quest that causes him to spawn in the overworld. I thought that was super cool and makes so much sense given the lore. Kuro definitely has what it takes; they just need to do it more often.

      Story in the BETA was way better. It's a tragedy they changed it. It was BAD to listen to players complaints in this case. Only some moments and animations were improved, but in general story wise BETA was simply better - beginning with facing Crownless was much more serious and Rover wasn't fully trusted at first, plus - characters got much more time for their introduction.

      @@echo3568 Yes, the FINAL version was rushed and without details. No, it's not even without details but without introducing some characters AT ALL, while for others - less time. Like I've said, yeah, they improved some cutscenes and moments, but simply story in BETA was making much more sense and you could get to know the characters much more. They should only polish it, not make drastic cuts. I don't want to criticize the story too much though. Despite points above, I would say that story is criticized waaay too much and underrated. To a large degree it was still really nice and could be enjoyable. I was still enjoying it. At the end of the day it's more on the side in this game and it's alright, it serves it's purpose more than enough.

    Hot take, I don't really think illusive realm should become a weekly mode with refreshing rewards, because it'll easily become repetitive if not handled correctly, and turns the gamemode into more of a chore. Imo, they should instead try keep as long as a patch, but drastically increase the amount of overall content(more buffs, memes, giving enemies unique effects, more cosmetics, more acheivements, etc), while also keeping content from previous seasons so players don't feel the fomo of missing out.
    Otherwise tho, I do agree with the rest of your points. Great video!

      This is somewhat also supported by the fact Kuro seems to hint that the Illusive Realm seems to have some kind of narrative element in it given the Scar flavor this round., so it's not a very simple affair of "just another Endgame mode".

      @@saintontas I think if there's a "narrative" element, maybe what Kuro should do is bring back the "previous rounds" since people who joined before 1.1 wont understand what the Illusive Realm is,because they missed the 1.0 Illusive Realm.
      Maybe it can be "stacked". All Kuro needs to do is design new rounds per patch while leaving the old ones available.

      I agree, I much prefer the current system. I'd rather have these medium-sized DLCs every patch that differ to one another than the same repetitive gamemode.
      Using HSR as an example, who actually enjoys Simulated Universe over its upgraded modes (Swarm Disaster, Gold & Gears, and Divergent Universe)?

    As bedge zzz is, the Rally mode and Hollow zero are modes that WuWa needs.
    It needs more rogue like modes, with larger variety in areas, illusive realm gets too repetitive as the area scheme doesn’t change much, and need for larger and sudden event changes.

    I think the tvs aren't the only bad part of the progression for ZZZ, i would actually give early progression to WW because of how much time ZZZ feels like an awfully long tutorial, at the start you need to iirc finish 2 whole chapters of the story to even have artifacts unlocked and you get constantly locked out of free roaming which seems like it blocks agents appearing in the overworld except for the times the main quest decides it's "go on about your day" time.

      The game adds a lot of depth and actual progression only after you're 25+ hours in. It's one of the worst mistakes I've seen a dev make.

      And about the rogue like point, i think the opposite, WW being once per version is so much better honestly, HSR Sim universe is fun the first few times and when there is a new mode but once you already experienced enough it's just a chore that's only exciting when you pull a new DPS. WW on the other hand so far seems that it is always going to come back with new features so you just experience the new content and then done with it

      @@saintontas I think it comes mainly from a lack of confidence in their playerbase, in theory this is to make casual players less overwhelmed, but in practice if you have time to no life all quest and sidequest you reach the important stuff much earlier and it ends up not being an ideal situation for casuals either.

      ​@@saintontas I don't think that is mistake, its for us hardcore players it seems to be all clear right away.. but for most of casual players its ideal curve, I have so much friends that not play videogames in daily basis and they happy with zzz and they really learn slow.

    the dailies are fine. you can get 100 points easily.. the 180 waveplates is mostly needed for battle pass....

    Many good points!
    I'm unsure if adding too many different artefact sets would only lead to absolute grind madness (think of genshin with like what, 50 different artefact sets but only a handful end up being useful).
    There is beauty in having a tight focus and being able to re-use a good set on multiple characters since they are the same. That being said yeah, kinda wish the support side had as many rainbow colours as the elemental carries combined and not just a total of 2 options. Game is new though, let them cook.~

    Just hit IK level 40 about 20 minutes ago. Did 2 runs at 100 stamina, got 1 of a possible 10 purple exp. The drop rates are not good so far. granted, ive only done the 2 runs.

      Sounds eerily familiar to WuWa... 1 gold out of every 50 forgery challenges at UL 50 is painful especially with the double reward event.

      ​@Xaveriuschevalera123 I think parrying in zzz is alright, but there's 2 big issues with it imo. First, the fact the attacks after the first parry are automatically blocked, taking some skill out of the system. The 2nd issue is the fact that you can't parry in any other way than switching. Sometimes I would rather stay on one character and continue dps, rather than essentially being forced to swap.

    Really well made video man! I enjoy both ZZZ and WuWa & noticed all these issues as well & felt an improvement in many of these areas when coming from WuWa to ZZZ. HSR has basically all these nice mechanics & QoL features plus more & that's what ZZZ is copying. HSR is the best gacha game atm, ZZZ & WuWa both could be improved a lot by taking more ideas from HSR

    Daily task in WuWa already easy for me… since it’s what I eventually do daily even if it’s not a task. Get point from what I do causally daily is like a gift. 60 asterite and 2000 exp for free…
    If what I want in WuWa is some mini games that I can play casually such as card game like Yugi oh using echo. Also simple Mini game task in event like Genshin in somme patch.

    I agree with most things, except this one
    5:45 I don't think anyone "enjoy" artifact/relic/echo grinding, they do it because they have to, adding even more to this already tedious progression system won't make the game better. In fact I prefer a simple gear system because you can share your gear among units easier.
    What wuwa needs isn't expanding the gear system, but expanding the combat system, this game's "fun" isn't in the builds but in the execution of its moment-to-moment combat. For example a system that rewards stylish combos (like DmC), giving more dmg boost if you perform creative actions rather than repeating the same attacks./

    Naah, ZZZ is the Honkai 3rd children with new engine, even QTE system ia similar. I dont see major problems with WuWa (we're at 1.1, let Kuro cook more), only maybe more drops from Fields. But when Myhoyo will be good with "rewards" with your players? Its only remember Genshin 1.0

      I don't think there are any major problems with WuWa. I'm focusing on features we've seen from competitors that, if added to WuWa, would likely improve the game as a whole.
      I think it's always beneficial to keep an open mind when you see somebody doing something better, even if it's something small, and strive for that in what you have.

    I personally didn't take all your words because I think some of it is pretty bias. You expect too much in Wuthering Wave when both of these game are different. One is Open world and the other one is instances.
    1. Dailies - Wuwa is open world, you can't expect to make it simple like ZZZ.
    2. Gearing System - I personally think there's nothing wrong with the Echoe system, making it wide means adding more pain in grinding, also set are not the main focus of gearing in Wuwa, it is the Echoe ability. The fact that you didn't mention it is a plus point of being bias.
    3. Illusive realm - this is a monthly patch. You can decide whether to rush it, or schedule your runs it is optional, some players might have few days to play and they have like 1 day free time to go in, so it is food for casual players and If you think the scenery is repetitive, so is ZZZ with all those never ending barricades, scaffolding, unfinished construction basically every story quest area are the same! and you're entering to never ending construction site. Plus Illusive Realm is not just a a cow that you should milk, it has lore in it the reason why it changes every month, also they want diversity and I don't ZZZ will have those, because I know Hoyo morethan you think, they will never upgrade things that works fine in their own book/preference.
    ZZZ is a weekly feels like long chore for a casual game, the more you enter the more it become repetitive, the reward are not that rewarding, they just made it weekly and it isn't compressed like in Wuthering Wave, it's a pain in the ass to see thosw TV tapping simulator.
    4. Character appearances - 😐 I don't know if you haven't play Genshin, but some character like Xinyan literally HAVE NO story quest on her own and before her appearance in game, it takes 2.++ version for a seconds of sreentime. So I think it is fair that not all characters should be introduced because if they do, then there will be no crumbs left, and basically it will mislead the main story. Just be patience for once.

    I think a lot of your point are already done by kuro but on PGR. Just like 80% of it ok so not all of it, I'm not sure why they didn't do it yet but yes i think if they applied it then the game will be better. My guess is because the game aren't hard enough they just waiting for more challenging difficulty for they actually applied it

    One thing I really dislike about ZZZ, is that in order to rank up your Inter-Knot account you need to play a ton of the games story. I really like the story so far, so I don’t want to rush through it (and I have been busy with work these last two weeks), so I’m still stuck with level 20 characters and the worst level off rewards, even though I’m Inter-Knot level 28.

      Idk why they copied a lot from hyvrs, pgr has tons of great content, tons of memory sets, interlude, ez dailies, great OSTs, you name it
      Just copy everything from pgr and paste it to wuwa

      @@kamilfahmii As long WuWa gets more like PGR im not worryed, PGR gets better each patch thats what i hope will happen in WuWa every big patch, we already got QoL in 1.2 and with my experince with Kuro i say they will improve themself, now with some money lets see what they are cooking.
      Yeah i heard project nami wont be a gatcha thats good to see how they are willing to do something different unlike other Gacha Companys, thumbs up for shift up for the first step.

    they already have a similar system in their other game which is PGR which has a more similar style to zzz, about the standard pulls, I believe maybe adding them as shards in dailies would be good, like 3-5 shards for 1 standard pull, interaction, I don't really mind, you can learn more about them with the affection they have.

      @@jcceno4273 Depths of Illusive Realm which is the elysian realm, swap characters.... and there are a few more things, yes. For me, I don't see anything that Wuwa has that can be added to HI3rd. Hi3rd, has so many systems, and so many ways to obtain characters, equipment, many events, many rewards, limited banner is not 50/50, I prefer the combat of hi3rd, it has many more different mechanics, and the story has no possible comparison with any other game. This is in my opinion, of course.

    The one thing I want for illusive realm are more environments. Game has so many beautiful places but after playing Illusive realm this many times I’m just kinda tired of the same sceanery😅

    Well, the game seems to reward people who progress linearly than vertically ascending and building multiple characters by the way Tower of Adversity works right now.
    It is sort of my choice not to push myself to the echo substat grind, because i know it's too far too RNG grindy and echo xp is too restrictive at the moment.
    Nothing wrong with using those same Tacet Field Waveplates to ascend other Resonators than my main team?

    Good points, I was thinking many of the same things while playing. Hoyo actually, shockingly, provided QoL in 1.0.
    The ability to select the item you need to farm and it teleports you right to the start window of the domain, not a map that makes you select the place, then loading screen to move you outside of the place, then you walk up to the door, a looking at the door animation, and then the menu to start the domain.
    The crafting function not only is right in the menu but automatically selects the amount you need. It feels so good. WuWa (and every gacha game) needs to yoink those systems immediately. It really improves the experience and is incredible to actually get obvious QoL in 1.0
    Also, the ability to max refine a weapon all at once.

    I hate Tower of Adversity. It is supposed to be weekly farm area, but I will not touch it with long pole.
    Overbloated healtpool mobs that you need to kill in time limit (worst idea ever), while not able to use resonators you have built because of the energy system.
    This needs revamp ASAP, Its so shitty.
    If this was some side-content, not a weekly farm, I can tolerate (ignore) it. But as it is, im just logging less and less.

    then proceeds to talk about systems that existed on older gacha games. this screams like an engagement farn bait or someone who started gacha with genshin
    illusive real repeats after a patch and that's good enough.
    played gacha game where you "need" to play roguelites 1x a week and it's very tiring after a year.

    The point where you need to spend 180 waveplates and the higher cost of leveling characters is contradicting each other. If a player happen to not have time spending 180 waveplates in a day, that player will be slow building character anyways lol.
    PS: lol coming from a vid where someone complaining there's nothing to do with WuWa to requesting a QoL update to WuWa in order to have less time in-game. I just can't anymore.
    Might I add the high leveling requirements. I don't think so. I could play an RPG for like days and hours and hours of boring grinding and had my characters at like the same level of the enemy. While in WuWa you literally could level 80 a character within days of playing with so little time spent.

But you definitely had your answer already, since you can select the weapon and not get a random such in the case with Hoyo's that offset big time the standard pulls available with those characters ascension because I am not sure what I'm getting and to top it I need 90 pity with .6% drop rate.

      I'm not against it. If they will do it, since I leveled all my characters imagine how much I have with those standard pulls with all the characters I have, I could finally get Verina and one standard weapon again. It's much more a gain to me without spending in a game but I don't know about Kuro though. It seems bad at their perspective lol.

      My English is not good but You can just close the game without clicking the logout button by pressing Windows key and right clicking the game icon, then click "close window" or just close it

    But in all seriousness - hell yeah. WuWa's story pacing is not great rn, and I kinda don't mind that much on the dailies, but I mostly only play WuWa atm.
    STANDARD PULLS THOUGH. Jesus Christ, this is the main thing WuWa is behind - it's not even funny.

    I'm enjoying ZZZ a lot more now that im into the mid game. Early game felt a bit slow and tedious. I'm currently Interknot 34 and working on my 2nd team for the Defense game mode.
