This was by FAR one of the most stressful non-violent streams I’ve seen in my life. It was seriously like a real life Michael Scott from The Office level of cringe/worry/hilarity. He lost the stick of ram under the motherboard. He only found it AFTER he had seated the other 3 sticks. The whole CPU/LATCH/PASTE just the whole time chat is screaming along with me at him in panic.
I know quite literally NOTHING about computers, you could probably convince me that toaster parts were PC parts, and even I got stressed watching him.... Toma publicly humiliating herself in the zoo/aquarium with Neuro made me cringe harder though

All that matters is that if you have one it goes in A2, if you have two it's A2, B2 three is either A1A2B2 or A2B1B2 and if you have four then all four slots are filled (I literally looked up the manual watching the VOD lol). Probably the thing that drove me the craziest was when he pulled out the ram sticks WHILE THE COMPUTER WAS STILL ON.

You'd be surprised how many Python devs etc know less about hardware than your average PC gamer does. Software development isn't really dependent on your hardware, as most PCs can do it just fine as is, nor do their dev tools interact with the hardware directly at kernel level. Then at your workplace you just need to do what the sysadmin tells you to, and let them do their job. No need to know anything about server networking either.

I am not working with PC hardware either, yet I know how to build my PCs since I was 12 and changed my GPU and a HDD myself for the first time. Vedal must be a bit younger than me (28), since back in the 2000s and early 2010s kids that were into Gaming and Programming built their own PCs.

@@takanara7 I should probably watch the whole stream, but you mean the plastic cover on the cpu holding bracket? You can leave that on, it will pop out when you push down the tensioning arm. It's also adviced to do so in every MB manual for the past 15 years, if people just are not like Vedal and actually read the manual. It just takes few minutes (and less when you're experienced builder to just check if there's any special cases, you need to take into account) and you'll usually save hours of troubleshooting.
Well he was putting in four sticks at first so it didn't matter, and then Neuro told him to put them in 2 and 4, which was right. Eventually he put one in the first one and then got a different error.

Going to throw flames on the idea that the cpu aio should be on intake, no it should not be. Games and GPU compute are far more sensitive to GPU clock bins decreasing, which will occur more often by pulling hot air into the case once the aio's radiator normalizes, sure its fine under low cpu and variable loads, but under high cpu loads that radiator will be dumping hot air right into the case and affecting the GPU's peak boost clocks. having gpu temps variate more wildly will also risk stutters when the clock domain changes as these generate interrupts that will block driver processing. GPU Compute tasks and gpu bound gaming barely give a shit if the cpu itself drops a bin because of a slightly higher temp in comparison.

There are many open sources code. Vedal can technically outsource most of the coding and animations and can still be considered as the developer. What’s difficult is know how to read, test run, and assemble the codes together to works.
