  • Hey everyone,
This is a very different type of video. I recently took up painting again and some of you requested a Speed Painting video so here it is. Sit back, enjoy the music and paint with little Bubz.
This is my 3rd painting lesson with Tim Gagnon. He is a fellow RUclipsr and amazing artist. I found him a week ago and have been OBSESSED with his painting techniques. His passion inspires me so much and I'm learning so much from him right now.
I'm currently taking the Misty Forests lessons from his website www.timgagnonst...
You guys can check out his RUclips Channel: / gagnonstudio
I'm sharing his channel and website because I'm learning so much from him and sharing the joy. I'm not paid by this or anything. I just think he's great and deserves to be known more. I know a lot of you guys are aspiring artists out there and I know Tim would teach amazing things to you all like I did.
For 2012, I decided to take up painting for one of my resolutions. I loved painting as a child. I was obsessed with art because I can go anywhere through my drawings. It freed me because it allowed me to escape from the busy World.
As I get older, I really realize that the simplest things make me happiest. Sometimes, I feel like the World moves too fast for me. Almost 8 years after High School, I plucked up courage to paint again. Painting somehow slows down time for me because it allows me to be 100% focused on the painting.
You guys can read my diary post
    bubzbeauty.com/...
for my painting story. I hope it also inspires you guys to go back to your passions. I know we can become occupied with life but really, this has given me back lots of meaning in my life again. I don't think people realize how short life really is so do all the things you want to do that inspires you while you can. Make the most out of it.
I'm still learning from Tim right now (You guys should see his original painting of the one I did lol, it's like...breathtaking!!!). It will be a while for me to be as skillful (or if not, half as skillful) as he is. But one day, I would love to give away one of my paintings to you guys as a gesture. If I ever hit 1 million subscribers- that would be such a special thing to do.
Some of you mentioned I can auction a painting and put the money to charity. That's a great idea but it makes me nervous. It'll be a fun and good cause and I'll work hard practicing for that day.
Ps. Music "Path of Wind" orchestra version from my fav Studio Ghibli anime "Totoro". Nostalgic!! and also "From the Inside out" instrumental from Hillsong.
    Have a great day,
    Much love, Bubz xx

Such a beautiful creation. Wish I had the hands of a painter. Sometimes I feel like I don't have anything that I am passionate about. However, you said that you paint to get away from the busy world. I sometimes do nail art to get away from my family and everything else. I get lost in the process of doing nails, that makes me relieve my stress. Bubz, you should do more painting, and I would encourage you to go back to school, but you already are so talented. Keep up the good work. Fighting!!

I remember your panting inspiring me so much to paint again...I painted it then gave it to a friend. I continue painting to this day. For the past year however I lost my inspiration. I just happened to come across your videos again and I feel that long lost inspiration returning. It’s so heartwarming I can’t wait to paint again.

I love to draw and I guess recently I've taken it to the next level by painting the images in my head. I stopped for a while though. I went through a tough time and moved across the U.S. Started new. I looked back and realized how stupid I was for ever stopping. It has always been a passion of mine. Even watching the art you do gives me unexplainable feelings. Happiness and freedom. Thank you so much. The inspiration in this video is beautiful and I love it!💗💯

Hello. You're definitely not the only one who listened to society demands of becoming more employable instead of chasing your passion. I have friends who are like that, and many of them change passions along the way. I am glad you still have yours, and that is very admirable. Your painting tells me you already have the basics drilled in you. As long as you remain passionate, you're going to make it. Don't worry about money if that's really what you enjoy. Good luck! =)

that's what happened to me too,but after so many years I realised that I was oblivious to my passion, painting gives me a feeling of loosing myself while doing it.

Huda Said Bajrai You are only 12 years old and you have started to love painting and drawing at such a young age. All the Masters of Art today were also young people like you once and obviously loved drawing and painting. So, believe me, if you keep up watching the tutorials and keep practising, then one day you will be just like them.

I thoroughly know what you mean. I left it behind too to find a different thing in life that was set out as a career, i had zero encouragement from my parents in regards to my art, or anything that i did that was creative because they were the most boring uncreative money orientated people i could have around me whose philosophy was that once i got to 17/18 i had to go and bring in the money and it didn't matter what i did to bring it in. There is nothing worse for a talented inspiring creative teenager who has dreams of what they want to be and do with those talents, to have parents who do not care about any of your talents, dreams and aspirations but only to throw you out there to just work and put money on the table to pay your keep. Not even caring to enroll you into college. If you've not guessed by now, that was my parents! Narcissist dream killers.
Anyway, even though i did an art course at college after secondary school, it was not what i wanted because it was more orientated around silly crafts, architectural technical drawing, photography and fashion. No pencil drawings, no pastels, no chalks, no paints except a bit of gouache, no field work. It was a waste of 1 year and i didn't continue on once the course had finished because i was told that the next level was all fashion. Disheartened i decided to go into I.T and that was where i left my art behind. Encouraged to get an office job and from there i went from job to job, hated them all and ended up caring for my sick father.
In secondary school i produced work that would have crowds of school kids huddled around me, work entered into big competitions, put up in the school halls and placed in the schools magazines etc. I had a talent that was never nurtured, and 15 years later a family friend asked me if i could do portraits. I said I'd see if i still had the ability, and i worked on 2 portraits of her son and daughter. Well they ended up looking like real life black and white photographs. She had them put in frames and up on her wall the minute she got them. Then she asked me if i could do a large A2 of her friends 3 children, from separate photos and combine them into 1. One of the children had tragically died of meningitis months before and the mother never had a photo of all 3 of them in one shot. So i took all 3 individual photos and combined them into one, all of different size prints which made it very difficult. It was extremely hard work but the finished article looked like it was in fact a group photo.
According to our friend, when she gave it to the woman she literally broke down and said it looks like a black and white photo. She then had it placed in an A2 sized frame and has it pride of place in her home ever since.
It was then that i knew i still had it but not only that, i was actually better. But due to my father getting terminal cancer and passing away it had to be put on hold. But i have been itching of late to start getting into painting and drawing etc and i'm collecting things on shops on ebay of various mediums to buy. I know that i have the ability to create great works of art simply because of what i could achieve in my teenage years and what i know i can do with my mind. I see so many pieces of work and think wow that's so impressive. But then when i see the entire process i know i can do that. I still have that eye for detail and creativeness for realism etc and it's as if there have been signs galore everywhere i go that i should be pouring this talent of mine out onto paper, getting my creativity back and perhaps making money from it.

My story is almost the same as yours. Isn't it horrible that our parents thought money was the most important thing in life? I sacrificed many of my dreams because they weren't "practical." If I could do the last 15 years of my life differently I would. At least now we are pursuing something that we love. Better late than never I suppose.

A while back there was an art show & a lot of "this girl's friends" was picked by her art teacher to enter their artworks... and ofc all the art captain's artwork got in... but expect her...
Now she was a girl who loved & felt passionate about art the most, also a very cheerful & happy girl ...!
She started drawing around the age of 1-2 & was never hesitated to pick up a pencil to draw.
Until that one unfaithful momment when she found out she didn't make it into the art show, she was deverstated and even though she acted as if it was nothing at school & laughed it off, but honestly everyday when she got home,
she felt as if her world was crumbling to billion & billion of little pieces... cus she felt that special someone she really looked up to wasn't impressed with what she created (art teacher) and so she gave up on drawing for months & came down to depression.
She eventually ignored everyone who asked her why was it that she stopped drawing & she skipped art classes... but there really was no answer.
A few months later, she came to realized this whole time she was feeling "sorry" for herself, just cus she was being put down without anyone noticing... and so after a few months, she found this video which made her pick up a pencil again, but this time in secret
she was still fascinated by different lines, shapes, shade, texture, structure, layout, colors... anything u name it!
Even now she feels as if she's never good enough or will become a real artist but she just can't stop!
This is my story and I'm 12 years old. Without art my WOR!d wouldn't be as colorful as others..
P.s I know this might sound like a shitty story but I'd just like to share it.
    thank you for reading Xo

My mom said that I need to think far on what I'd be in the future. You know, how arts would not help me market myself in the job industry and I'd be left jobless. She wants me to further my studies in the professional fields. Especially engineering. Can you please help me? I'm so lost right now

***** I'm not christian thou. but thanks for ur advice :) I'll try thinking thoroughly on what would be best for me. Guess what, I'm going to Japan as a getaway next year!

From every day of ur life what do you spend most of the time doing? Drawing? playing piano? think about what you are more focused in and what you enjoy the most :3

Learning languages can open up lots of career doors.

You can always fall back on teaching languages, art or piano so their is a job opportunity but you would need teaching skills and you might not want to be a teacher. :3 Anyway i hope it works out for you i'm still in high school but what i've wanted to be in the future has changed so much throughout my year!

ah,im surprised on how our situation is so similar
Im 17 on my last year of highschool,I have 4 month or so left before I graduate from highschool and now I still dont know which field to apply for,my parent told me to go to engineering or computer cuz I have the talent, well I do have a quite good sense of logic but mathematic and physic isnt my favourite,my hobby is drawing, listening to music and reading.
right now im planning to go to university in japan and take engineering since it looks promising.but deep inside I still hesitate

Thank you for your beautiful thoughts....I love to paint, yet I always feel pressured to make it perfect, I forgot just how much fun it can be if you just let go and be free. You're an amazing artist, your paintings are clearly channeled perfectly from your inner beauty.

How did you do the faded trees in the background, that look like they are in fog?

    • @charliehoskinson5417

I believe she watered-down the colors

    • @sihambouyerbou7194
      @sihambouyerbou7194 8 лет назад +1

that's because she changed the colers , the trees in the background are winth yelow , others are with brawon

The trees in the background gives the illusion of depth. By using a faded tone of paint and the fact they are more elevated than the trees in front, this gives a sense they are further back and in the background. Her love and passion for painting is evident right down to the twigs on the trees. She's surely skilled in creating depth in her artwork!

    I was also an artist
and I hold it as hobby in my life every day, your right this is my space from some noise out side
    but often I lose
because I can not conceive and showing pride in others
my talent is confined to a corner,
    Sometimes I feel lonely
because out of poverty can not be shown ,

this almost made me cry. what you siad is exactly like my story. after the 8th class in school drawing-painting subject was dropped and since then i hadnt really painted like i used to before. everyone was pressuring about further years of school n then college how important they are. i felt like a part of me was stolen from me. i did paint and draw in between sometime but it wasnt that much but i felt happy when i did. but now i m typing this after getting really back to my most fav thing in the world. i got back to drawing and painting regularly. it's my meditation that keeps me in peace and happy. anyways thank you for this video this was really great. wish you luck with ur dreams :)
